Transmigrating into a Big Villain in the Book Novel - Chapter 6
6. Chapter 6 Sitting in the Same Carriage
Translator: Storm in a Teacup
Lin Qingye was silent for a moment. Then he said, “Your Highness, I hope you can remember what you said.”
Ke Ruan nodded and replied, “Of course!”
“Ke Ruan.” A soft and graceful voice came from the door.
Hearing this, Ke Ruan turned around and saw the comer. He bowed and greeted, “Mother.”
Lin Qingye also bowed, “Your Majesty.”
“General Lin, you are also here. I guess you come here for my good-for-nothing son.” Even she said this, there was not much reproach in her soft voice.
Ke Ruan looked at her.
She was in a light white gown that was embroidered with a blue butterfly. With a gentle breeze, the white silk robe gently flowed in the wind, and her silk-like hair scattered casually.
She had a fair and clear face, and her skin was delicate and soft. Her eyes twinkled like stars under the arched eyebrows.
There was a small mouth under her delicate nose. A smile rested at the corners of her mouth.
She looked extraordinarily graceful and refined, like a beautiful angel from the heavens, exuding an unworldly vibe.
She was Ke Ruan’s mother, Ruan Qingtian. Her name was as beautiful as her face. She was elegant and brilliant like a lotus flower, with the aura of serenity all around her.
She was only about twenty-eight years old and inexplicably gorgeous. No wonder the Emperor was so infatuated with her. Unlike other Emperors, Ke Ruan’s father had only one wife in his palace. This was probably because he wanted to protect her otherwordly mould and not let her be defiled by the mortal world.
Ke Ruan’s name was just a combination of his parents’ names. The love between Ke Zhan and Ruan Qingtian had long been praised by story-tellers.
Ruan Qingtian came in front of Ke Ruan. She gently held Ke Ruan’s hand and said in a soft voice, “Don’t cause trouble for General Lin.”
Her voice fell into Ke Ruan’s ears like a gust of wind swaying the willow. No one would say harsh words towards her. Ke Ruan replied, “Mother, don’t worry. I will no longer be as petulant as before.”
Ruan Qingtian was gratified to hear that. She rubbed Ke Ruan’s hair. Ke Ruan felt a little embarrassed. Anyway, he was almost thirty years old actually, not too far away from Ruan Qingtian’s age. But in this world, he had become her son and was pampered by her.
He felt that his face was burning.
Ruan Qingtian sighed, “You have grown up.”
Just at this moment, Ke Ruan noticed that a hint of embarrassment appeared on Lin Qingye’s face. His lips curled to flash a grin. He could understand his embarrassment. After all, they were mother and child chatting with each other, while he was just an outsider. It was not suitable for him to stay here, but no one asked him to leave.
“General Lin, I’m gonna entrust my son to you. Please take care of him,” Ruan Qingtian said to Lin Qingye.
Hearing this, Lin Qingye hurriedly bowed and said, “It is my duty.”
After a while, Ruan Qingtian left. Lin Qingye also didn’t stay any longer. He still had something to prepare for his departure the next day.
It had to be said that Lin Qingye could always take things in stride. He was a man of integrity and never treated people unfairly. There were ten hostages that had been sent to the kingdom. Lin Qingye had specially prepared a carriage for every three of them.
Lin Qingye looked at the people coming out from behind him and frowned. These people were not his soldiers. He actually didn’t plan to bring too many soldiers to fight these gangsters. After all, it was only a county. With too many people, it would attract unnecessary attention.
“Your Highnes, who are these people?” he asked.
Ke Ruan smiled and said, “You’ll understand later. And please find an inn to have a rest first when we leave the palace.”
Lin Qingye’s dark face showed that he was displeased with Ke Ruan’s words. They were to fight gangsters, not to have fun.
He snorted and waved his sleeve. If he was wearing a robe with wider sleeves, he would definitely be able to stirring up a gust of wind.
Ke Ruan ignored him and boarded a carriage.
As soon as he got into the carriage, a voice rang out. He drew the curtains of the carriage and saw a soldier talking to Lin Qingye. He looked grim. Following his gaze, Ke Ruan saw Si Yuhan standing not far away.
He was standing beside a carriage. Chuckles from onlookers filled the air around him. But his eyes still looked resolute. He was wearing a cold expression which didn’t suit young men at his age and he didn’t show the slightest embarrassment.
Ke Ruan jumped out of the carriage and asked, “What’s the matter?”
It was obvious that Lin Qingye didn’t want to talk to Ke Ruan. But now he had to reply.
“Your Highness, there’s one more person left,” Lin Qingye answered. He was imformed that there were only nine people earlier, but now it turned out to be ten.
Lin Qingye was angry for the soldier’s incompetence.
But in fact, this was not his fault. Ke Ruan prisoned Si Yuhan somewhere else and he didn’t stay with the other hostages.
Once Ke Ruan knew that there was no carriage for Si Yuhan, his eye lit up. In the past few days, he had always been thinking about ways to please the male lead, but he couldn’t find a proper way.
Now the opportunity came.
Ke Ruan pretended to be calm. He said, “Let him ride with me.”
Lin Qingye felt relieved and ordered his men to bring him here.
After a while, Si Yuhan came. Ke Ruan held back the excitement in his heart. Looking at Si Yuhan, he said flatly, “Take the carriage with me.”
Si Yuhan curled his lips. He lowed his head to hide the coldness
in his eyes and uttered, “Yes, Your Highness!”
Ke Ruan first got into the carriage, then he stretched out his hand towards Si Yuhan.
Si Yuhan looked at the hand that was extended towards him.
The fingers were slender and fair, with a touch of pink, giving off a faint luster.
Somehow, there was a restlessness inside of Si Yuhan that made him go crazy.
Seeing that Si Yuhan didn’t make a move, Ke Ruan realized that he had acted too amiably.
The former Ke Ruan had abused Si Yuhan for almost a year. Now he suddenly treated him so well. For ordinary people, they might not think too much about it, but Si Yuhan was intelligent and had experienced a lot. He would definitely believe that this was a Greek gift.
Just as he prepared to withdraw his hand, he felt the warmth coming from his palm. He graspped Si Yuhan’s hand tightly and helped him got into the carriage.
After that, Ke Ruan didn’t release his hand.
Si Yuhan stared at their intertwined hands. Ke Ruan’s hand was as warm as he had expected. It really didn’t match his temperature.
After getting into the carriage, Ke Ruan asked him to seat himself. Then he released his hand. As the warmth disappeared from his hand, Si Yuhan was dazed for a moment and a hint of disappointment rose in his heart.
He thought he was really going crazy!
Si Yuhan raised his eyes to take a look at Ke Ruan.
Ke Ruan was good-looking. He had a fair complexion, red lips and pearly white teeth. He lived a luxurious life from his childhood and had never suffered any pain. If he liked someone, he would treat him well.
But if he hated someone, he also wouldn’t hide his hatred, just like how he was treating him.
He could do anything he liked and bullied people as he liked.
Ke Ruan suddenly sensed the gaze staring at him. He looked over and met the cold gaze of Si Yuhan. Ke Ruan was stunned for a moment, but he quickly came to his senses and smiled at him before Si Yuhan could withdraw his eyes.
He smiled so heartily, which seemed improper.
His white teeth were exposed and his eyes curved into a crescent shape.
