Transmigrating into a Big Villain in the Book Novel - Chapter 4
Chapter 4: General Anguo
Translator: ZoeWang
Under the blue sky was the typical overlapping golden glazed tile roof of the Red Flame Country, which looked dazzlingly glamorous.
The red walls of the city merged with the blue sky. Everything’s so majestic and peaceful, which made it hard to imagine that there would be nothing, not even a brick, here in a few years from now, all destroyed by the fire.
The teacher was talking on and on and on. The minute Ke Ruan stepped into the classroom, he noticed that Si Yuhan was standing in the corner, listening with neither desk nor chair. Ke Ruan raised his eyebrows. The real Ke Ruan had got what he deserved, but I didn’t deserve that.
There wass no significant difference between the real life and that of the book. Like right now, there was a break after the morning class, allowing them to relax or go to the bathroom.
Ke Ruan put down the book in his hands and walked towards Si Yuhan in the corner. Si Yuhan felt someone approaching, but he didn’t look up. He knew who that was, yet he was still focused on the book in his hands.
“How dare you! Didn’t you see the prince? Are you blind or what?” A boy in white said before Ke Ruan said anything. He was about 11 or 12 years old. He walked over and took away Si Yuhan’s book, then looked at Ke Ruan with a flattering smile. “Right? Your Highness. This moron had the nerve to ignore you.”
Right your ass.
Die as you wish. Don’t make me a part of this! You moron!
Ke Ruan’s face went cold like clouds before the rain. Apparently the boy misread his facial expression and went bold. He looked at Si Yuhan as if he was saying, “Wait and see. You are a dead person.”
“What’s your name?” Ke Ruan asked in an arrogant voice, trying to sound like the real Ke Ruan.
The boy didn’t realize that Ke Ruan was asking him. He looked at Ke Ruan confusedly, pointed his fingers at himself and asked, “Were you talking to me, Your Highness?”
“What were you thinking?” Ke Ruan had no impression of this boy. There wasn’t any introduction of him in the book. So he might be just a nobody.
People were laughing at him. The boy’s face went bright red and said, “I’m sorry I didn’t hear you, Your Highness. My name’s Yu Xin.”
“Where from?”
Yu Xin lowered his head and said, “the South Country.”
Ke Ruan never liked this sort of people who built their happiness on the sorrow of others. Not only did he insult Si Yuhan, the male lead, but he did that in Ke Ruan’s name.
Ke Ruan couldn’t stand it anymore.
“Never heard of it.” Ke Ruan sneered.
People started to laugh at the boy again.
Ke Ruan glanced at Si Yuhan and said coldly, “Go to my seat.”
People stopped laughing and looked at them surprisingly.
Si Yuhan looked up at Ke Ruan, trying to find a hint of fear or panic or ingratiation in his eyes. But no. There wasn’t any. He could only saw the coldness in disguise as well as the toxic tenderness.
Si Yuhan couldn’t figure it out. Either he was such a great actor or he wasn’t reborn at all. A guilty conscience was not reasonable enough to explain such a dramatic change in him.
“Thank you, Your Highness, for your kindness. But I don’t deserve it.” Si Yuhan said. His gaze was down again.
The prince was rejected!
Si Yuhan actually rejected Ke Ruan. Other students were a little afraid. Every time the prince went mad, they were dragged into the mess and suffered too.
Ke Ruan frowned. Since Si Yuhan rejected his offer, Ke Ruan then decided to take another method. The teacher was ready to come in when he saw the prince was walking towards Si Yuhan again, so he changed his mind and waited outside. When everyone was sure that the prince were so furious that…
Ke Ruan pointed at Yu Xin and said, “You, go get another set of desk and chair for Si Yuhan.”
Yu Xin paused with eyes wide open. He didn’t move. He was completely stunned.
Ke Ruan repeated, “Go get a set of desk and chair for Si Yuhan. You didn’t hear me? Or you just don’t wanna go?”
Yu Xin nodded quickly, “Yes, I will go right away.”
Ke Ruan didn’t look at Si Yuhan. He turned back to his desk. These people were either the son of a high minister or the prince of an emperor, but they had to come all the way here to kiss his ass. He hated to see this, especially for those princes just like him. They were having a wealthy life, but all of that had changed dramatically since they got here. It was hard for anyone under this condition.
Therefore, it was not hard for Si Yuhan to recapture several small countries to fight again the Red Flame country and finally exterminated the Red Flame Country.
Now that he was here, Ke Ruan was trying to find a way to change all of this. Even just slowing the process down would be worth the efforts.
Si Yuhan looked at the new set of table and chair in front of him, eyes shinning in an unexplained way. He tapped on it and couldn’t help looking at Ke Ruan who was lying on his desk feeling bored.
He was not eight years old yet. He was thin and small. He couldn’t do anything right. But since Ke Ruan wanted to play, he would play along to see what he really wanted.
Or…
If it was Ke Ruan himself or not?
After the class, Ke Ruan looked at the person beside him.
Since he got here in the book, that man followed him wherever he went. He seemed like an extraordinary man, a martial arts master. The only problem was that he had a poker face. Ke Ruan didn’t want to provoke him. When that man wanted to talk, he responded. If not, what was the point in trying to please him?
“Your Highness. General!”
A eunuch ran over and said, “General Lin, the emperor wants to see you in the Imperial Study.”
Ke Ruan paused, staring at the man who had been following him for a while. What did the eunuch call him?
General?
General Lin?!
According to the book, there was only one man who could walk freely in the palace, and that was General Lin Qingye. He was so handsome and he was so strict. Standing near him made one feel cold automatically. The man’s father was the general who helped build this country. A few years ago, the old general died in the war and was honored as the Great General. His son took his job and went to the border, wiped out a few small countries that was disturbing the country. Then the emperor made him a General like his father for keeping the country a safe place, which also made him the youngest general of the country.
Ke Ruan’s looked at Lin Yeqing with worship. He admired General Lin Yeqing so much for so long. No wonder he was good at martial arts himself. Chances are that he was taught by the best of the best.
Lin Qingye, however, couldn’t figure out why Ke Ruan’s attitude toward him suddenly changed.
He nodded towards the eunuch then bowed to Ke Ruan. “If you’ll excuse me.”
Ke Ruan was so flattered that he hurriedly waved his hand and said, “Of course. You are an important man. I’m just a nobody. I’ll go back myself. It’s fine.”
Lin Qingye frowned and said, “Please don’t say that.”
Ke Ruan smiled, “Sorry. I know. Go get busy!”
Lin Qingye then followed the eunuch to the royal study.
It was night.
Ke Ruan lied on the bed, tossing and turning for a while. The air smelled great because of the fragrance of the sandalwood. The moonlight went through the carved wooden window.
He got up and accidentally made a noise. The maid outside then asked, “Do you want anything, Your Highness?”
“Nothing. Go to sleep. No need to guard me all night.”
“Yes! Your Highness.”
Ke Ruan decided to go out for a walk to see what the country looked like in the night.
As soon as he opened the door, Lin Yeqing’s face was in sight. They both paused. Ke Ruan even stepped back a little out of shock. Lin Yeqing was comparatively calm but still was shocked, too.
