This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome - Chapter 260
Chapter 260: Breakthrough into the Airborne Realm
A good number of people who were already at the pinnacle of Invincible Vajra level was finally able to make a breakthrough. It seemed as if a massive number of Invincible Vajras made a breakthrough into the Celestial Realm within just one night.
All of that made Lu Xuan, who seemed to be one-of-a-kind in the world initially, look just like everyone else by then.
There was more than one being at the Celestial Realm by then, and that was more than enough to throw the entire world into chaos.
That was because Celestial Realm beings had already become capable enough to resist the might of modern weapons of greater destructive powers to a certain extent.
Count Dracula alone had been more than enough to throw the entire Huaxia into chaos back then. None of the forces found in the nation had been able to do anything against him.
While the new Celestial Realm beings were definitely not at the count’s level of powers and their combat prowess was far below his, but the fact remained that not every nation had the level of might that Huaxia did.
There had been coup d’etat happening in several smaller nations within mere months, with their original presidents being overthrown, and the ones who took the presidents’ place were none other than cultivators.
It was either a Celestial Realm being rising to the top or a puppet being put in place by some Celestial Realm beings pulling strings behind.
All of that change happened almost in a single night, making the governments of various nations realize just how devastating the actions of the cultivators could be when they became sufficiently powerful.
Not every nation had powerful organizations of cultivators, and not every nation had access to weapons of mass destruction like nuclear weapons after all.
What happened finally made the governments realize that the new era was truly upon them.
In that new era, governments having access to weapons of mass destruction would no longer be the ones with the bigger stick, as there was yet another new force of beings on the rise, beings who were more than enough to take their place.
The entire world was thrown into chaos, as the world of cultivation seemingly began to show signs of locking horns with secular governments.
Under such circumstances, Lu Xuan, who had been trapped in the vampires’ ancestral land for one whole year, finally opened his eyes, which had been shut tight throughout, as massive Spiritual Qi gushed from his body.
Terrifying aura burst all over the place.
Lu Xuan’s body surface seemed to be blasting about like an impossibly huge storm. Waves materialized from his Spiritual Qi began to form into a storm like no other around him.
Said storm was finally over after quite a while. Lu Xuan began to pull his aura back. All that fluctuations and bursts of aura that seemed to be able to shake the world finally subsided.
“A year finally passed,” Lu Xuan said slowly. He finally made a breakthrough into the Airborne Realm after a year of preparation and training.
Making a breakthrough into the Airborne Realm enabled Lu Xuan’s powers to grow several times more powerful.
The greatest difference between being in the Airborne Realm with being in the Celestial Realm was that creatures that were initially incapable of flight came to gain flight abilities as well.
Other than that, the difference manifested in the even greater control of Spiritual Qi. A being at the Celestial Realm was capable of manifesting Spiritual Qi externally, but molding them into blades was already the limit of what one could do.
Things were different at the Airborne Realm, as the newly found greater control allowed one to mold their Spiritual Qi into many other things.
Only the likes of Lu Xuan, who was a reincarnated monster of insane levels of power, would have been capable of such impeccable control while still being at the Celestial Realm. One would have needed to rely on some kind of power items in order to do so otherwise.
That was why the vampires all felt unsettled when they saw Lu Xuan being able to conjure a golden dragon around him, as it seemed as if they just saw a monster in front of them.
Being at the Airborne Realm, Lu Xuan’s control of Spiritual Qi had gotten even more advanced.
Other than that, the most notable thing about him was that a vague sheen of jade-colored energy manifested at the surface of his body when he activated his Spiritual Qi.
That jade-colored energy enabled him to take direct hits from missiles while staying utterly unscathed.
That was something beyond even common Airborne Realm beings.
Celestial Realm beings aside, even common Airborne Realm beings had to rely on energy barriers conjured using their own Shield of Vigor, in order to take direct hits from a missile.
Yet, Lu Xuan became capable of such a feat all the same. That was the second power that awakened in his born Taoism aptitude, which was called “Golden Bone and Jade Skin.”
When the power of the Golden Bone and Jade Skin was activated, he would gain extreme defensive powers unlike any other.
At present, that was but the first stage of the power—his jade-colored skin had no problem taking direct hits from missiles.
If he were to train until he was even able to make his bones gold, his defense would reach even greater heights, and the change would be unimaginable.
According to tests he performed back in his past life, by the time he reached the second stage of the Golden Bone and Jade Skin, he would be able to survive a blast even from nuclear arms unscathed so long as it was not a direct hit.
Even if he were to be caught within 100 meters of said nuclear arm’s blast radius, he would have only been severely injured instead of rendered dead on the spot.
That alone was frightening enough, as it was worth noting that 100 meters were still considered to be within ground zero of an attack of a nuclear detonation.
If he were to reach such a stage, he would have practically become a god among mortals.
If he were to continue to training from then on out and develop that particular power further, it would not have been far-fetched to say that he was able to take even direct hits from nuclear missiles.
But then again, all of that was still too far away from where he was at the moment.
What he achieved at present was more than enough.
“Time to head home.”
Lu Xuan howled, and the Dragonslayer appeared in his hand right away, which he then brought about a blast of sword aura with.
Boooom!
A huge fissure was seen at the barrier above the vampires’ ancestral land, resulting from said blast.
However, that fissure began to gradually close as soon as the barrier was cut open.
Lu Xuan spent no time hesitating. He leapt into the air and disappeared into the fissure right away.
He sensed that immense pressure from the vampires’ ancestral land disappeared without a trace as soon as he got outside. It was as if he came to a new world that allowed him to fly as he pleased.
Back in the ancestral land, he felt as if there were weights of tens of thousands of kilograms sitting on his shoulder, almost every single moment.
That was the fundamental reason why he spent one whole year before finally making a breakthrough into the Airborne Realm.
If it had been someone else, surviving within such an extreme environment would have been arduous enough. Making a breakthrough would have been totally out of the question.
That was what Lilith had speculated in the first place, that Lu Xuan definitely had no way of escaping and would eventually be permanently trapped within the ancestral land. It was all but a matter of time.
She probably would have never expected that Lu Xuan actually managed to escape eventually.
“Spirit qi is at least twice as thick out here now. So the world has been restored even further, eh?” Lu Xuan sensed the world’s Spirit Qi being further restored, which explained why it became a lot easier when he tried making a breakthrough previously.
While the world had been suppressing the emergence of any Airborne Realm beings before, but as the world became further restored, it became a lot easier for him to make such a breakthrough.
Lu Xuan took a look at the vampires’ ancestral land beneath him. It was a pity that he did not have sufficient power to wreck the place once and for all at the moment, for that was what he would have done without second thoughts otherwise.
