The Young Urban Doctor Novel - Chapter 114
Chapter 114: The Harbinger of Adversity
Luo Zilling had initially intended to go with acupuncture and desensitization treatment.
He immediately thought of something his grandfather had discussed with him before he’d left the Northwest—something to do with how to treat asthma and allergies.
It was now that he realized that the reason his grandfather had spent so much time teaching him about this was so that he could treat Ouyang Feifei’s illness. He didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry at how much effort his grandfather had put into this endeavor.
Focusing his attention on the task at hand, he told Ouyang Feifei how he would be treating her. “Acupunctural treatment needs to be carried out in a certain pattern—once a day would be ideal. If I add in medicine and desensitization therapy, that stubborn illness of yours should be fully healed within half a year. I’ll write you a prescription in a bit, so all you have to do is follow it and take the medicine accordingly.”
“Thank you very much! But won’t it be troublesome to have to carry out acupunctural therapy every day?” Ouyang Feifei smiled; a rare sight.
Luo Ziling found himself momentarily bedazzled by her smile. he had to admit that she looked exceptional whenever she smiled.
Fortunately for him, she dropped it immediately, allowing him to retain his composure. In his defense, he hadn’t had much contact with women, so he couldn’t be blamed for his behavior!
Yes, he did get along well with Yang Qingyin, but it was only because their personalities were rather similar, which allowed for easy conversation with her.
“I brought acupunctural instruments today, so why don’t we start now?” Luo Ziling was an impatient person. Once he had decided on something, he would want to get on it as soon as possible.
Ouyang Feifei hesitated for a moment, but nodded. “Then let’s go to my room!”
With that, she stood up and left without waiting for Luo Ziling’s input.
He hurried after her.
Walking side by side with Ouyang Feifei, he couldn’t help but straighten his back. This woman was way too tall. In fact, he couldn’t help but find it strange that the few women that he interacted with the most were all quite tall.
Ouyang Feifei, Ouyang Huihui and Lin Lan were all at least 5’5. Yang Qingyin was slightly shorter, but was still around that height, which was above the average height of the girls in the university.
From the looks of it, if a woman wanted to be beautiful, she had to be tall, otherwise her beauty would definitely be impacted.
The two of them did not enter the house through the main door; instead, Ouyang Feifei brought him through the side door into the main building.
As they were walking through the corridors, Luo Ziling heard a voice coming from the living room, but it was quite unclear.
After a couple turns, Wang Qing, Ouyang Feifei’s equally beautiful suddenly showed up in front of them. Ouyang Feifei whispered something to her, to which Wang Qing nodded and walked away, presumably to carry out her orders.
Luo Ziling followed Ouyang Feifei into a room.
He supposed that this was where she slept. It was very clean and tidy, and the way the room was furnished was very like her. There weren’t too many feminine decorations around the place, which made the room seem a little cold, but it was still comfortable.
As Luo Ziling curiously looked around, Ouyang Feifei’s assistant, Wang Qing, carried some things into the room.
“Then let’s start the treatment!” Ouyang Feifei said. “I’m going to change.” Then, without waiting for Luo Ziling to agree, she walked into the bathroom with her assistant.
This was fine with Luo Ziling; he’d already intended to ask her to change her clothes, but he didn’t expect her to pre-empt his suggestion. He couldn’t help but feel relieved that he didn’t have to bring it up.
While waiting for her, he took out all the medical equipment that he would be needing. He had prepared alcohol, silver needles, moxa sticks, and other things. He’d used the same tools when treating the Soaring Dragons’ founder, Li Haiyang.
Of course, as a professional, he couldn’t possibly reuse the same equipment, especially the silver needles, on Ouyang Feifei without properly sterilizing them. Fortunately, Luo Ziling had brought a lot of silver needles with him, so he didn’t need to reuse anything.
After Luo Ziling had finished his preparations, Ouyang Feifei still hadn’t come out of the bathroom. Luo Ziling could not help but feel a little puzzled. He could not figure out what the two women were doing in the bathroom.
It was not until about half an hour later that the bathroom door finally opened. Ouyang Feifei, who had changed into pajamas, stepped out, with Wang Qing following her. Ouyang Feifei had apparently taken a shower. Luo Ziling could not help but feel a little embarrassed at this realization.
When Ouyang Feifei approached him, he could smell a fragrance coming from her. It smelled so good, but he couldn’t tell whether it was the body wash or the natural musk of a woman..
“Which parts do you need to perform acupuncture on?” Ouyang Feifei suddenly asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.
Luo Ziling briefed her on where he would need to carry out his treatment: the Yuji Point on the palm, the Kongdian Point on the arm, the Dingchuan Point and Dazhui Point on the cervical vertebra, and the Feiyu Point and Fengmen Point on the thoracic vertebra.
There was one other important acupunctural point, but it was in a rather…awkward location. It was the Shanzhong Point, which was situated in between the breasts. Luo Ziling was embarrassed to say it in front of Wang Qing.
After listening to Luo Ziling’s briefing, Ouyang Feifei gestured for Wang Qing to help her lie down on the bed and loosen her nightgown a little.
Wang Qing walked forward wordlessly and helped Ouyang Feifei lie down, then helped loosen her nightgown, exposing her beautiful back. Ouyang Feifei’s skin was pale and delicate, without a single blemish to be seen.
Luo Ziling had only seen Linlan’s body before, but he could say that Ouyang Feifei’s skin was far more delicate than Lin Lan’s.
The two women were completely different from each other, but no less beautiful. One was rough, full of heroic spirit, and gave off a distinct masculine aura, while the other gave off the natural beauty of a woman.
In “Dream of the Red Chamber”, Jia Baoyu had said, “A woman is made of water”, but Linlan couldn’t be described with this sentence. She was more akin to steel, with not a hint of softness to be found. Completely different from water.
However, that metaphor was suitable when describing Ouyang Feifei.
A few days ago, he met with Ouyang Feifei while she was wearing her business attire. Today, she wasn’t hiding much of her true beauty, and Luo Ziling felt like she’d risen several ranks in his heart.
She was like a harbinger of adversity, bringing hardships to the villagers..
