The Tempestuous Consort - Wilfully Pampered by the Beastly Highness - Chapter 202
Chapter 202: Narcissistic Tu Xiupei
Feng Tianlan shot her a disdainful glance then slowly walked over to Tu Xiupei and looked down at her. “And Second Sister here is so excited early in the morning.”
“Feng Tianlan, I’ve said it before: if you know what’s good for you, hand over the seal. Otherwise, you’ll die so fast you won’t even know how it happened.” Tu Xiupei started to tidy up her messy hair and clothes. Since last month, she hadn’t needed to put on an act in front of Feng Tianlan.
Feng Tianlan curled her lips a little. “I’m waiting.”
“Tianlan, they are your sisters. Why can’t you talk nicely?” Tu Xiang observed how Feng Tianlan behaved, and a murderous look flashed in his eyes. But he quickly hid it away because the most important thing now was gaining her favor.
“Then, these two girls have to cooperate, too!” Feng Qingling heard the commotion and came over to have a look. After hearing what Tu Xiang had said, he couldn’t believe that anyone could be this shameless.
When he saw how Feng Qingling was now behaving so confidently, Tu Xiang figured that Feng Qingling no longer felt threatened by him. His face turned nasty. “This is a family matter. An outsider like you has no say.”
Feng Qingling frowned.
“This is Feng Manor.” Feng Tianlan stared coldly at Tu Xiang. She reminded him in a cold voice, “My uncle and I are Fengs, whereas you and the rest are Tus. It is obvious who the outsiders are.”
Tu Xiang’s face turned nastier, and he looked viciously at Feng Tianlan. “I am your father. Who talks to their father like this? You are going against the morals set by heaven, so you’d better kneel and reflect on your actions.”
HA!
Feng Tianlan snorted coldly and ignored him. Instead, she turned to Feng Qingling and said, “Uncle, call everybody in the house to come here.”
Feng Qingling was overjoyed by how Feng Tianlan had spoken up for him. So, he threw a nasty glare at Tu Xiang then went to gather everyone.
“Tianlan…”
Feng Tianlan cut him off, “The Feng family genealogy, all the keys to the storerooms, name lists, et cetera – it’s time for you to hand them all over.”
“Tianlan, I’m your father. It’s fine by me if people outside the family acknowledge you as the clan head, but you need a man in charge of the household, after all. Besides, I’ve been the head for the past ten years. I have plenty of experience, so it’s better if you let me be in charge,” Tu Xiang gently tried to persuade Feng Tianlan.
Feng Tianlan raised an eyebrow. “So, Father means he wants me to be a clan head with a title but no power?”
“I’m your father, so it’s only natural that I’m the one who takes care of the family. Being the head isn’t just some simple job or child’s play…”
“So, you don’t want to hand over your power?” Feng Tianlan looked calmly at Tu Xiang.
“Father is your father, and you are his child. Children should listen to their fathers. Why bother talking so much? Just hand over the seal. Then, if you behave well, I will let you remain in Feng Manor as a servant girl,” piped up Tu Xiupei.
Feng Tianlan turned to look at the exceedingly arrogant Tu Xiupei and curled her lips into a faint smile. “You’ve reached marriageable age, and since I’m both the clan head and your elder sister, I should arrange a good marriage for you.”
“Feng Tianlan, don’t you dare!” Tu Xiupei roared with angry eyes.
Feng Tianlan raised her eyebrow a little. “And why not?”
“I am a Supreme’s wife, so if you dare to marry me off to anyone else, he won’t let you off the hook. Also, the Wargod – I’m the woman of his dreams. So, given his usual way of doing things, even if you don’t die, he will rip off your skin.”
Hearing this, Feng Tianlan raised her eyebrows higher and mocked her, “Do you want to go to Wargod Manor now and say to him what you just said to me?”
Did she already think of herself as Big Brother Jin’s wife?
Feng Tianlan had never realized how thick Tu Xiupei’s skull was. They had just met for the first time the night before, and Tu Xiupei had already elevated her status to his wife. Her thought process was extraordinary.
