The Tale of Hero Alice's Social Death - Chapter 241
The last time Alice traveled to the demon realm was through a smuggling team introduced to her by Rosa. She had to rely on the teleportation array the smuggling team had secretly constructed to reach the demon realm.
Of course, it went without saying that a secretly-built teleportation array connected to the demon realm was illegal. It was especially so considering the teleportation array’s large teleportation capacity. No matter which human kingdom one was caught committing such a crime, one would be sentenced to a minimum of ten years in prison. Depending on the crime’s severity, one might even be given a life sentence or a death sentence.
If Alice reported the smuggling team to the authorities, every member of the team would be found guilty without question. Knowing this, Alice couldn’t help but wonder how the pitiful middle-aged man from the smuggling team would react after learning that he had smuggled the Gryffin Kingdom’s princess to the demon realm. The man had probably trembled in fear for some time, worried sick that the princess might turn him over to the authorities.
Of course, Alice wasn’t so mean that she would do such a thing. No matter the circumstances, it was a fact that the other party had helped her out. In addition, she was well aware of the demon realm’s current situation. The demon realm needed to rely on smugglers to acquire resources from the human realm. Without smugglers, the demon realm would only be pushed into a more desperate situation, and that was the last thing Alice needed right now.
However, Alice didn’t rely on a smuggling caravan to travel to the demon realm this time. It went without saying that the various human kingdoms had secretly built their own teleportation arrays that led to the demon realm. So, Alice could simply borrow the Gryffin Kingdom’s teleportation array.
Naturally, whether it was a private or official teleportation array that led to the demon realm, there was no way it could be established in a populated area.
On the one hand, the demons would easily discover the teleportation array. On the other hand, constructing a teleportation array required the joint effort of many magicians. It went without saying that there was no way a large group of magicians could just waltz into a demon city and establish a teleportation array in the city without raising any suspicions. So, teleportation arrays were typically constructed in remote locations in the demon realm.
Of course, if it was possible, both humans and demons would want nothing more than to establish a teleportation array in the middle of the enemy’s palace. However, that evidently wasn’t possible.
When Alice shared her thoughts about visiting the demon realm with Hatter, Hatter immediately agreed to let her use the Gryffin Kingdom’s teleportation array. He had even asked if she wanted to bring Catherine with her.
Alice wasn’t particularly surprised by Hatter’s cooperation. After all, Hatter wasn’t aware that one of her other identities was that of the Demon King. In his opinion, she was most likely visiting the demon realm to do Hero things such as investigate the enemies.
However, Alice didn’t accept Hatter’s offer to take Catherine. Zauna and Lalu were still young and inexperienced, so it wouldn’t be too hard to fool them. However, Catherine was an old bird. With Catherine’s experience working as the Gryffin Kingdom’s Royal Guard Captain, there was a great chance that she might notice something.
Meanwhile, after setting the teleportation date to tomorrow, Alice had Zauna apply for leave from the academy for her. In the meantime, she sat in the dorm chatting with “Blonde Twintails” online.
“Can you let me see what the figurine you previously mentioned looks like?”
Whenever Alice engaged in a conversation with Blonde Twintails, the topic of their conversation would typically relate to anime and comics without exception. Her conversations with Blonde Twintails were also one of the few times she could escape from her responsibilities of being the Hero and the Demon King and talk about topics that interested her. Although this world’s anime culture was significantly different from the anime culture on Earth, it interested her nonetheless.

“Have you watched Magical Girl Hikari before?” Alice gleefully typed out these words and sent the message through WW, the instant messaging software she used.
“It’s a national-level classic, so of course I’ve watched it. There was even a remake recently. Although they’ve changed the artwork and added some new content, I still think it’s good,” Blonde Twintails replied in under three seconds, her typing speed akin to a machine gun. “Don’t tell me you’re talking about a Hikari figurine?”
Seeing the other party’s question, Alice got an urge to show off her figurine. So, with a small grin on her face, she grabbed her phone and picked up Andusia, who was sitting on her desk playing with a miniature phone.
“What do you want?” Andusia asked in dissatisfaction tone.
The miniature phone was something she had gone through great pains to shrink down to a usable size for her. Shrink was a very complex but flexible spell. If an amateur magician were to cast the spell on a phone, they would destroy the phone’s internal components and end up with a miniature phone that couldn’t be used normally.
Andusia possessed profound control over mana, so she naturally wouldn’t make such a rookie mistake. Instead, she managed to accurately shrink every component within the phone to the correct size, ending up with a miniaturized phone that could function normally. However, even with her masterful control, it had still taken her the entire morning to complete the shrinking process.
Meanwhile, for an ancient Demon King who had never come into contact with modern technology, gaining access to a mobile phone and the internet had opened the doors to a whole new world for Andusia. So, it was only natural that she would be upset when Alice interrupted her enjoyment.
However, there was no way Alice would be polite with Andusia.
“Stop complaining. Come, make a pose and let me take a picture.”
Although Andusia didn’t understand what Alice was trying to do, considering that Alice was the one who had bought her phone for her and Alice still had control over her mana, she had no choice but to reluctantly set aside her phone and put on a natural pose.
“This pose…is from three thousand years ago, right?” Alice couldn’t help but complain. Although there was nothing wrong with Andusia’s pose, it looked simple and unpretentious. So, after doing a quick search on her computer, Alice opened a poster of Magical Girl Hikari, pointed at it, and commanded Andusia, “Do this pose.”
“Stop showing me this abomination!!!”
Andusia wailed. Then, she turned around, faced her back to the computer in grief and indignation, and reluctantly raised her wand, a set piece that came with her figurine body. This wand-raising action was also the pose Hikari would make when transforming into a magical girl. However, from Alice’s point of view, this pose looked like Andusia was trying to transform into Ultraman…
Immediately, Alice took a picture of Andusia, transferred it to her computer, and sent it to Blonde Twintails, only to receive the other party’s reply almost immediately afterward.”So it really is Hikari. It’s also a very well-made model. This seems to be made by AC Company, right? I remember that they made a figurine of Hikari in the past. It’s just that the posture on this one looks different.”
Blonde Twintails instantly recognized the manufacturer of Andusia’s body…or, more accurately, this Hikari figurine. It was to be expected of an anime expert.
“But even if this is a limited edition figurine, it’s not so rare that it can surprise me and the others.”
