Chapter 507: The Arrival of the Ten Greats
Translator: Alsey Editor: Chrissy
Feeding Yu Jiubian to the ao turtle?
The expressions of the crowd upon the Fang Zhang Island shifted. This Demon King Chu was indeed unruly. He was impudent even in the face of the top ten highest ranking individuals, behaving undisciplined and out of control.
The top ten was like “the Heavens” to the survivors on the island, supreme and paramount. Even the Earth in its heyday couldn’t compare with them and was eventually wiped out.
A lot of evolvers on the island of Fang Zhang saw it as an honor for Princess Qing Qi to marry a noble from the Deity Planet. They also saw it as a way of safeguarding.
“You’re courting death!” A chilling voice sounded from the golden figure projected through space. Someone was actually treating him with such disdain—this made a horrifying desire to murder pervade through Yu Jiubian.
“Ah… ah…”
In the middle of the sea, Zhang Chuan cried out in anguish as great white sharks charged at and bit at him. It was a terribly tragic and heart-wrenching sight to behold.
“Master, save me!” He yelled.
In a split second, his body was wrecked and his blood stained the blue sea. It looked like he was on the verge of being torn to shreds.
“Chu Feng, I have wronged you. Please let me go… Ah, it’s too painful! May the great Demon King Chu spare my life! I’ll never dare do it again, and I’ll do whatever you want me to. Ah…”
In the middle of the sea, Zhang Chuan wailed like a ghost and howled like a wolf in a tearful voice. He was absolutely terrified. The next instant the sharks gobbled up more than half of his body. It was rather gruesome.
Yuan Mo pulled on the soul binding cord and brought him up out of the water. Instantly a couple of the great white sharks followed and leapt up, their ferocious mouths wide open as they bit at the air.
“Please save me! I’m willing to do anything! I’ll follow behind the great Demon King Chu and forever be loyal to him! I beg you, please forgive me!” Zhang Chuan cried, tears streaming down his face.
The pathetic would always have something detestable about them. Chu Feng ignored him as Yuan Mo continued to torment him.
Yu Jiubian was covered by the brilliant golden light. Now he was expressionless. He abhorred Zhang Chuan’s uselessness. He was cowardly and had brought shame to his name.
At that moment Ruo Lan, Princess Qing Qi’s maid, shouted loudly, “Chu Feng, you are going too far, harming others at the slightest pretext. Let go of Zhang Chuan this instance! No matter what you say, he is a guest on our Fang Zhang island.”
Chu Feng overlooked her and didn’t pay her any attention.
“You two should treat your princess syndrome!” Zi Luan said, curling her lip and swinging her tiny waist as if she actually had no idea that she also suffered from “ego syndrome”.
“What does the Fang Zhang island have to do with us? You’re overstepping your authority!” Yuan Mo scorned. Then he directly threw Zhang Chuan back into the sea and didn’t lift him up again.
“Ah… save me! I’ll betray Yu Jiubian, let me go!”
With one final dreadful scream, Zhang Chuan’s voice grew fainter and fainter, until it came to a spontaneous end. The great white sharks tore him apart and devoured him, and only a spray of scarlet blood was left on the ocean’s surface.
“Chu Feng, you’ve lost your last hope of surviving,” Yu Jiubian said coldly. Although he was radiant like a god, the sound of his voice was bone-chilling.
“What do you think you are? Come on then if you have the guts. Don’t just talk rubbish!” Chu Feng waved his hand impatiently like he was chasing a fly away. It was somewhat irritating.
One should know that he was now facing a noble from the Ten Greats, yet he had such an attitude. He was truly fearless like he couldn’t see the terrifying storm that would be coming his way in the future.
“It seems there are no rules in the uncivilized territories. You will regret every word you have said!” Yu Jiubian was immersed in a golden glow. His body was hazy but his pupils, sharp as a knife’s edge, issued two frightening beams of light as he stared at Chu Feng.
“I’ll wait for you. So long as you dare to come, then I’ll dare to live stream me beating you. Top Ten? A guest from the Deity Planet? I can probably sell the tickets at quite high a price. Then I can still chop you up and feed you to the old turtle!”
Chu Feng was rather irreverent and didn’t seem to care at all. He was drinking leisurely and enjoying the sea breeze on the deck, calm and composed even when facing a person with an unbelievable heritage.
At this point, those on the Fang Zhang island rushed to counter Chu Feng. An old woman with a gloomy expression said, “Chu Feng, do you know what you’re saying? That’s young master Yu Jiubian, of the Ten Greats. He’s a man of revered status and of unspeakable nobility!”
They were indeed ruthless in their priorities. The island of Fang Zhang chose to support the Deity Planet’s prodigy’s side with not even the slightest hint of hesitation.
They had plans to seize the Robbery Induction, but that could wait until later.
Chu Feng took a glance at the island and said, “Servile to the bone. Anyone the Top Ten casually sends out is enough to make you bend your backbones, and you marry off your daughter with a laugh. Seriously… how completely slavish with not an ounce of courage.”
He spoke calmly yet his words deeply affected the hearts of all those on the Fang Zhang island. It poked at the crux of this issue deep inside of their hearts.
Bear in mind that they were similar to the survivors in the secret realm Penglai. Both were once servants to experts of the planet’s orthodox bloodline. No doubt it gnawed at their hearts.
“Chu Feng, you’re just looking for death now. You are too young and you don’t know anything. If you keep being this conceited, you’ll meet violent death sooner you later!” The old woman shouted loudly in a stern voice.
“To you, the former Deity Planet is the heaven that you get down on your knees just to approach. But to me, Yu Jiubian is only another enemy destined to be eliminated and made into bait!”
“Wash your neck and wait! Within three days I’ll descend upon Earth’s main area and take your severed head!” When Yu Jiubian finished speaking, the beam of intense gold light diffused with a bang and he immediately vanished.
In a split second, the news had spread that Yu Jiubian, one of the Top Ten prodigies, originating from the Deity Planet was coming to Earth. This triggered a huge ruckus and all were astonished.
One of the Top Ten was coming? It was bound to create a far-reaching disruption!
On Earth, the hearts of divine sons, saintesses and those situated in various secret realms pounded and they were all considerably shocked.
As for those upon the Origin Beast Platform, there was a great clamor as people were discussing spiritedly about it. It indeed attracted the attention of many.
In the Eastern Sea, in front of the island of Fang Zhang, Chu Feng swallowed the last of his wine and tossed the jade cup lightly into the ocean. It dropped into the water with a “ding” and (a string of) sparkling splashes flew up.
He didn’t take a single glance at those on the Fang Zhang island. Without consulting anyone he turned and said, “Let’s go!”
On the island of Fang Zhang, there was a crowd of furious youngsters but they were also restraining themselves. Their minds were torn, as they were definitely no match for Chu Feng and would be destroyed.
Yet they were unreconciled watching him be so irreverent. This was because their mentality was like those in the secret realm Penglai and they considered themselves as the Earth’s orthodox lineage in the present age.
“Chu Feng, my friend, please stay,” someone said.
One of the island’s vice-owner Li Kai, a middle-aged man, rushed forward. In addition, there were two elders—they were all skin and bones with worn facial features, yet their spirits were hale and hearty.
” I don’t have any connections with you, and I don’t want to form any relationships either.” Chu Feng wore a cold, detached expression. He despised them and didn’t have any interest towards them.
“There have been many misunderstandings today. Brother Chu Feng, you mustn’t be offended. Could you perhaps stay here for a moment? To repent we are willing to hold a feast,” said the middle-aged man Li Kai.
“No need. Farewell.” Chu Feng waved his hand to signal Zhan He to steer the ship away. He sneered—the people of Fang Zhang kept trying to keep him there, but it couldn’t be that they appreciated him. There must be another reason for it.
On second thoughts, they could be after the Robbery Induction breathing technique. When he was fighting against the Xilin expert two days ago, they had been amazed by his breathing technique and had appeared excited and thrilled.
These details would’ve been evident in the eyes of observant individuals.
Evolvers on Fang Zhang were, like those on Earth, incredibly attentive to the Robbery Induction and followed it closely.
On careful thinking, these people’s detaining was definitely not out of good intentions and they probably harbored evil intentions.
Chu Feng laughed coldly. He couldn’t be bothered to pay them any heed since those old geezers couldn’t come out. Though they could guess he had the Robbery Induction on him, they could only worry helplessly and wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. He reckoned it must be difficult for them to bear.
“You are indeed rude and arrogant. The island owner has invited you to stay with kind words and has treated you with such courtesy, yet you react frivolously. You don’t put our Fang Zhang in your eyes,” Ruo Lan, the maid by Princess Qing Qi’s side, lashed out.
She was depressed in her heart all along as she was almost married off to Chu Feng, which would mean giving up the chance to join the Top Ten. She was still not at ease now, therefore spoke in such a way to try to cut off any possibilities with Chu Feng.
The island’s vice-owner Li Kai heard this and shot her a glance. He frowned but remained silent.
Ruo Lan quickly lowered her head with a guilty conscience.
“How ridiculous. Some people are so vain to think that marrying into the Deity Planet is such an amazing honor. Did you not know that they could’ve been the ones who destroyed your ancestors? Do you really not understand the background of the person you’re marrying? How vain and ignorant must you be to be proud of such a thing?!”
Chu Feng shot a chilling glance at her and didn’t give her another look again.
His words had not only made the maid Ruo Lan resentful but had also brought an unsightly complexion to Princess Qing Qi’s face. Many others also showed ashen expressions.
“Don’t act like you’re noble and virtuous. The top ten planets and stars are eminent and unapproachable. One day when one of the young and proud sons of heaven come to earth, do you still think you’ll be a prodigy? You’ll be nothing at that point. You’ll be beaten into a crushing defeat and flee like a stray dog. Young noble Yu will be coming soon. Let’s watch how you’ll flee then!” shouted Ruo Lan.
“Is the Deity Planet the heaven? Is it worth you getting down on your knees to approach them? Maybe you’re used to it.” Once he had finished speaking he made Zhan He set sail. He didn’t want to talk anymore and began to leave directly.
He stood on the ship with his hands behind his back. Gradually he went into the distance, leaving a crowd of ashen faces behind him. If they could’ve left the island, many would’ve taken to pursue him.
“Master, we have some arrangements set up in the main space of this planet that can hunt and capture him. In fact, we could even come up with an idea and ask some of the seniors to step out of the Fang Zhang island. This man is too insolent and we must put him down. Above all, the breathing technique Robbery Induction could be on his body, so we mustn’t miss the opportunity!”
Someone muttered, desperate to take the initiative and attack.
“There’s no hurry. The young noble Yu Jiubian will come within three days and it’s unlikely that he will go back on his words. It’ll be enough if he takes action, so for now, there’s no need for us to make a big fuss.” Li Kai gazed coldly, watching Chu Feng’s back as he sailed far away.
The Top Ten, with their resplendent radiance, was forever a subject of talk no matter where. Anything involving them was guaranteed to receive worldwide attention!
Unchanging since time immemorial, they were the strongest all along. If there were any signs of disturbance or trouble, there was no chance they would be ignored!
Immediately it had been spread to all the corners of the world that Chu Feng had had an argument with Yu Jiubian in the Eastern Sea. Throughout the starry skies, all races were paying close attention!
People were discussing it passionately on the Origin Beast Platform, and it became a hot topic.
The race which dwelled on the Deity Planet was far too powerful and they stood high above the masses. To dare to regard themselves as deities among countless other races was enough to show their paramount position.
Yu Jiubian had a mysterious history. People only knew that he was born on that planet, but had no idea what sort of a position he had there.
However, he was now already the center of everyone’s attention. They were all waiting on what would happen three days later when he descends upon Earth. Would it be a one-sided bloodbath with his position as one of the Top Ten unshakeable, or would he collide and create splendid battle sparks with the waning planet’s prodigy? Everyone was looking forward to it!
“Can he really come over?” Chu Feng asked Yuan Mo, Zi Luan and the others in the middle of the sea.
He could imagine that Yu Jiubian was an evolver of the visualization realm at the very least, otherwise, he would’ve been unworthy of his identity as one from the Deity Planet. Could it be that he would debilitate his own cultivation to come onto the Earth?
It was impossible to think so!
There was a lot of intense competition to become one of the Top Ten. Yu Jiubian would never dare to do so.
“If the Xilin clan could send an evolver of the visualization realm here, then the Top Ten must have a way to do so too, as their methods are even more heaven-defying,” said Yuan Mo.
“Mn!” Chu Feng nodded. He was adjusting his body’s state and studying all kinds of clever techniques. He kept himself in a peak state, waiting for the big fight!
Colliding with one of the Top Ten was indeed a major event!
Time passed quickly, and three days had passed in a wink. On this day, a flourishing gold beam appeared suddenly in the East Sea. The waves surged sky-high paired with an air of terror. There was someone rushing over from the dry land and landing within the sea!
“Where is Chu Feng? Stretch out your neck and meet your death!” A bright radiance lit up the ocean as if the blazing sun was right here. It was intense and fierce, and there was someone inside, like a God descending upon Earth!
“The bait is here. I’ll use you today to fish for the ao turtle!” Someone replied in the distance, yelling. His voice was vibrating on the surface of the sea like the sound of thunder!
