The Sacred Ruins Novel - Chapter 300
Chapter 300: Diamond Might
Translator: Alsey Editor: Chrissy
A top grade expert had been slaughtered with his mountain-sized corpse sprawled across the ground. The Octopus King was no more.
In the air, the Sea God Tiger’s eyes were ferocious—he let out a roar which sent golden ripples out from his mouth. The mountain peak below him was shattered with a thump after coming in touch with these waves.
Some of the mountainsides were cracked and even burst open.
This was the Tiger Roar Sonic Art!
He was somewhat resentful. Two powerful experts had ganged up on Chu Feng only to have one of them killed instead. This news, if spread, would only prove this human’s great power.
To the Sea God Tiger, this was a stain and a disgrace to his martial accomplishments. He couldn’t accept this outcome.
Clang! Clang! Clang…
The Sea God Tiger’s body surged with flames as if he was being immolated. Afterwards, a part of this scale armor came off and hovered in the air momentarily before shooting down amidst an eruption of golden yellow light.
Chu Feng didn’t pay much attention at first. Wasn’t this just a scale? He could just blast it to pieces.
But very soon, his expression changed—this scale had blood stains on them which formed odd patterns as if it was a mysterious talisman.
Boom!
A huge explosion took place the moment Chu Feng swung his fist towards the rapidly descending scale.
“These words contain certain principles within them!” Chu Feng was astonished.
The blood patterns on the scale were characters which contained inherent capabilities. It could draw in the energy of the heaven and earth to induce an explosion.
Chu Feng’s fist felt pain and some traces of blood had appeared on it. It was evident just how powerful that explosion was. It contained such dense energy within.
“Human, I’ll definitely kill you!” The Sea God Tiger’s eyes were frosty as he roared in the air. He had almost gone mad because more of his scales had dropped off.
He shot out eight scales in one go, all of them carrying blood-colored patterns. They glowed brightly and interweaved together to form a terrifying energy storm.
The mountain Chu Feng had been standing on exploded with a boom!
He rushed out from within the smoke and dust to arrive at another mountain region. This scale attack was simply too destructive.
Chu FEng was certain that this Sea God Tiger possessed an extraordinary bloodline because normal beasts and birds would find it difficult to return to their ancestry like so. He had likely obtained the characters that his ancestors had hidden within the blood.
“You can’t escape. Your head will become the spoils of war!” The Sea God Tiger’s voice was extremely cold. Flapping his wings midair, he followed Chu Feng swiftly.
He was hell-bent on killing this enemy and washing away the stain on his name. He had never met an enemy he couldn’t kill since the day he came into being.
“Do you really want to become naked, you sick cat!? Who are you trying to show your naked hoodlum body to after removing all the scales?
“Aou…” The tiger’s roar shook the skies.
At the same time, the bloody clouds surged in the distant skies as the azure calabash began to sway violently. Multi-colored radiance began to gush out from the calabash mouth amidst the clang of iron chains.
Once could see a little girl encased in a mass of prismatic lights struggle free from the mouth of the calabash.
However, her body was entangled in strand after strand of golden chains which suppressed and shackled her to the mouth of the calabash.
The scene was vague and fuzzy amidst the surge of misty prismatic glow. The whole area was becoming rather eerie as the surroundings surged with blood energy.
At this moment, the marine human Lou Tian finally stopped his attacks and jumped down the calabash. Discontentment, regret, and helplessness were written all over his face. He let out an angry roar before fleeing into the distance.
This madman had finally given up. It seemed he no longer dared to forcefully extract the azure lantern.
That copper lantern had broken free of the calabash mouth and was now floating in the air. It showered the calabash mouth with specks of light as if it was suppressing the ancient evolved being from emerging.
Even the madman had fled but the Sea God Tiger still refused to give up. He wanted to kill Chu Feng at the final moment.
Chi! Chi! Chi…
A dense horde of golden scales, numbering in the dozens, few out towards Chu Feng.
“It ends here!” the Sea God Tiger roared. His extremely loud voice reverberated in an area dozens of kilometers in diameter. It even shook the whole mountain range.
Clang…
Chu Feng circulated his special breathing technique and utilized his Xingyi Fists. He released several true forms and merged the Demon Ox and Demon Flood Dragon Fists within. This kind of complex mixture caused the misty great bell to appear once again.
He was evading as much as he could, trying his best not to touch the golden scales. Those which he couldn’t dodge was blocked by the Bell of Primal Chaos.
Several parts of the Sea God Tiger’s body was stained with blood because the loosening of his scales wounded his body.
Chu Feng knew the Sea God Tiger was going all out and was fighting with his life on the line. He was prepared to meet this great enemy in a final battle.
Chu Feng quietly shifted the diamond chakram into his hands. There was only this enemy left so he could safely throw it out without worrying about it falling into marine race hands.
All of the marine race experts around the azure calabash had fled.
“I’ll give one chance. Become my attendant, what say you!?” The Sea God transmitted a cold voice as he dived down from above, his eyes fixed own on Chu Feng below.
“Become a tiger’s accomplice?!” [1] Chu Feng sneered. Following which, his eyes turned cold and said, “Come over to die!”
“You don’t know how to value opportunity. Die!” The Sea God Tiger’s glare was cold and his smile, sinister. His whole body erupted with a golden radiance—within his claws was a dagger which suddenly glowed as if it burst into a blaze.
Boom!
At this moment, energy gushed explosively in the air before pouring down in great torrents like an erupting volcano. The blinding golden light drowned the whole mountainous region.
Everything originated from this golden dagger from which a baleful aura surged upwards as if it was about to tear the earth and sky apart.
The vague image of a gigantic tiger appeared from the dagger. Its feet seemed as if they were stepping on the starry skies. It roared loudly and pounced towards Chu Feng.
The Sea God Tiger had used his great killer weapon. He couldn’t wait any longer and wanted to end this battle quickly by finishing off Chu Feng.
That was because the azure calabash was becoming more and more dangerous. Blood energy pervaded an area of several kilometers as the ancient evolved being stood on the verge of escape. This caused any beholder to palpitate.
“Human, you want to contend against me with your mere skills? I can kill you with a lift of my hands. Die!” the Sea God Tiger roared.
He saw that Chu Feng had used up his Golden Arhat Talisman and didn’t believe the latter would possess any more items produced by ancient powerhouses. This was the perfect moment to collect his life amidst a clap of thunder.
Chu Feng’s eyes shot out strands of divine radiance as his energy was drawn back into his physical body. His right hand grasped the Diamond Chakram as he rushed towards the sky to meet the enemy.
Boom!
The golden dagger came down amidst a vast surge of energy and smashed towards Chu Feng like a golden mountain or a boundless ocean.
Chu Feng decided to take a certain amount of risk as he rushed to meet the golden ocean and its energy tides with the diamond chakram in hand.
This extreme rubbish could absorb energy to increase its weight. This mysterious ability was rather baffling.
Chu Feng had always injected his own energy into the weapon before shooting it out and blasting his enemies with it.
This time, he wanted to take a risk and see if he could inject the enemy’s energy into the diamond chakram. The shiny bracelet immediately become resplendent and as white as snow.
Buzz!
The diamond chakram’s weight explosively increased. It reached tens of thousands of kilograms in weight within moments and was still growing.
This process was extremely dangerous because Chu Feng was using the diamond chakram to receive the opponent’s energy. Any carelessness could result in him suffering from the explosive attack.
This required a great deal of expertise in energy manipulation. Naturally, the most important was that this ultimate rubbish diamond chakram was simply too special.
The Sea God Tiger was astonished as he originally thought he could slaughter this human easily. He didn’t expect the terrifying golden energy from his golden dagger would be absorbed by the snow white bracelet.
At this time, Chu Feng had suffered an intense attack. It was impossible for the diamond chakram to absorb all the energy and hence a large golden tidal wave still slammed down onto him.
However, this attack had already been reduced greatly. Even though he swayed violently with blood seeping out of the corner of his mouth, he could still withstand it in the end.
“Kill!”
Chu Feng roared explosively as he shot out the diamond chakram.
Even Chu Feng found it difficult to say just how much heavier the diamond chakram had become. In any case, it was much heavier than it usually was because even Chu Feng had to exert quite a bit when throwing it out.
Chu Feng had to use all his strength in order to maintain the projectile’s speed. This caused his arms to feel quite sore.
He felt all the more that this bracelet was rather odd and special—it couldn’t be considered garbage at all.
Boom!
A gigantic explosion took place on the dome of the sky as the bracelet erupted with terrifying force.
The Sea God Tiger had long since noticed something was wrong and turned to leave but the diamond chakram was simply too fast and closed the distance within moments.
Chi! Chi! Chi…
Golden scales dropped off from the Sea God Tiger’s body and shot towards the diamond chakram. He was hoping to block the incoming attack.
He didn’t dare use the dagger for fear that the energy would be insufficient to block the terrifying bracelet.
Dozens of blood patterned scales glowed brightly then exploded but it wasn’t enough to stop the diamond chakram. The latter’s energy was simply too frightening.
Its weight at the moment was especially intimidating. After being shot out by Chu Feng, the momentum was absolutely shocking.
Chu Feng was confident that even a gigantic mountain which reached into the clouds would be ground to pieces if it stood in the diamond chakram’s way.
The Sea God Tiger attempted to move sideways and evade during the time the scales were shot out.
Chu Feng leapt high into the sky and was almost charging alongside the diamond chakram. He did his utmost to utilize his spiritual energy and give the diamond chakram a nudge in the right direction.
The weapon was too heavy to steer but now he could slightly adjust its trajectory.
Boom!
The air exploded—the diamond chakram overflowed with surging lights which pressed down on the Sea God Tiger’s body and had already come into contact with his tail.
“Clang!”
The Sea God Tiger was furious. He utilized his spiritual energy to shoot out the golden dagger and stop this killer weapon.
“Crack!” The diamond chakram was indeed blocked but the golden dagger lost its energy. It became dimmer and finally broke apart.
“Ah…”
The Sea God Tiger was absolutely enraged. An advantageous killer weapon had been destroyed just like this. This made him feel quite upset.
Especially since this didn’t even resolve him of the current danger. The diamond chakram was extremely tyrannical. It was only obstructed temporarily but was still spinning as it struck the tiger’s tail.
The distance between them was so close that he had no time to dodge.
“Plop!”
He whipped his tail violently and struck the diamond chakram but the result was that a large part of his tail was ground away with a bloody pfft and ruptured in midair.
Scale, dagger, tail—all of this powerful weapons were destroyed. However, after three clashes, the diamond chakram finally slowed down and shifted directions.
Naturally, it was still spinning rather fast.
Pfft!
The diamond chakram which had just shifted directions brushed past the Sea God Tiger’s leg and immediately tore his scales apart and ground away a large piece of flesh. The wound was so deep that his bones were revealed by the time it had passed by.
“Ah…” The Sea God Tiger was so angry that he had almost gone mad. He had suffered a grievous injury—his tail was cut off and several hundred kilograms of flesh had gone missing from his leg. This wasn’t only agonizing but also quite humiliating for him.
Chu Feng made another “micro-adjustment” to the diamond chakram’s trajectory and made it fall to the ground. He then immediately rushed over to retrieve it.
The Sea God Tiger’s eyes were cold and intimidating. He roared loudly as he chased after the bracelet. He wanted to catch up to the bracelet and take it for his own.
Boom!
The land in this area was vast and lacked obstructing mountain peaks. Chu Feng overtook the Sea God Tiger with five and a half times the speed of sound. He rushed into the dense woods, released his powerful divine instinct and had soon found the diamond chakram.
The Sea God Tiger wasn’t slow either. He arrived rapidly but was still one step too late. He roared furiously and turned around to flee lest he was struck once more.
Chu Feng held the bracelet in his hand and judged the distance between them—the opponent was already quite far—he was worried the attack would miss.
The Sea God Tiger retreated decisively and directly rushed into the sky. He didn’t dare to delay any longer, not only because of his wounds, but also because the lady in the azure calabash had already broken one of the divine gold chains.
Chu Feng found the piece of tiger thigh flesh which weighed hundreds of kilograms and then the fallen tail. After that, he too ran frantically, chasing after the Sea God Tiger towards the exterior of this space.
“Where do you think you’re going, tailless kitty?!”
One man and one tiger rushed madly towards the spatial borders.
Clang!
Within the azure calabash behind them, prismatic lights shone brilliantly from the lady’s body. The second multicolored chain on her body was pulled taut and was directly torn apart.
One could see the blinding energy lights which erupted as the chain was severed. It was incomparably vast like the ocean, capable of sweeping everything away. It was truly terrifying!
…
