Xu Wei’s fighting moves were fluid and smooth, very similar to those of the formally trained special forces in the army.

Leaning against the wall, Fu Zhi looked at her and asked, “Where did you learn your kickboxing from again?”

Xu Wei’s heart skipped a beat and she was stumped.

She seemed rather hesitant. She hemmed and hawed for a long while before finally deciding to tell her daughter the whole story.

Your grandpa and grandma worried that I can’t get married, so they asked the butcher to teach me some kickboxing skills. They said that they will pay someone to marry me if they have the chance in the future, and then if my future husband doesn’t like me and wants to beat me up, at least I can protect myself.

“But…” Xu Wei scratched her head before continuing, “Since I didn’t have a chance to put my skills into practice, the butler asked me to help him slaughter the pigs. The door of the elevator opened up with a ding.

Xu Wei and Ye Jiu were sitting on wooden chairs not far away.

After Fu Zhi had handed the voucher to the cashier, she took a look at the menu and said, “One strawberry slushie, a cheese top oolong tea, and a chocolate taro milk tea. Thank you.”

The cashier smiled at her and replied, “Alright. Please wait at the line here, or you can go sit on the couch in the lounge area over there and wait a little bit, I will call you when your drinks are ready.”

Fu Zhi nodded and headed to the couch in the lounge area. No sooner had she entered her game, than the hall manager of the first floor came to the milk tea shop with a printout of a wanted notice in his hands.

It had a detailed shot of the wanted person’s face, name, and the crime he committed.

“Equinox Flower” was the most heinous serial murder case in the past decade. It loomed over everyone, especially the people in Myanmar like a dark cloud. After all, Myanmar was the location where Matthew and Anmisu committed most of their crimes.

“Attention! Attention!” The manager said through a microphone. After he had arrived at the milk tea shop, he turned to the customers and said, “I’m sorry, but there is an emergency and I have to inform the workers right away. Xiao Qi, Xiao Yuan, please come over here.”

Nobody could see what the manager was holding since he had gone inside the counter of the milk tea shop.

However, a masked man in the line suddenly set his jaw tight.

“Take a look at this,” the manager said, “The police station said that the last location Matthew was sighted was the Lucky Cloud Pavilion. If you guys spot any people with strange outfits or come across any suspicious people, don’t approach him and call the police, okay?”

“Okay.”

The hall manager then showed the wanted notice to them before going to the western dining area to inform the workers there.

“Manager, don’t you think that guy wearing a mask is suspicious?” A waiter said as he pointed at the man wearing a mask not far away. “If my memories serve me right, I remember he has a pair of blue eyes…”

“What?!” The manager was startled and the wanted notice nearly fell from his hand. He swallowed a few gulps of saliva instinctively and looked in the direction of the waiter’s finger.

“Keep an eye on him,” he said, “And you, go look for Ms. Chen Min, and you send a message to Xiao Yuan. Tell her to stay calm. I’m going to call the police now.”

After he had finished giving out orders, the hall manager turned around and went back into the office.

In the meantime, inside the police station.

The sheriff put the phone down and shouted, “Attention to all officers. Go get yourself gear up now and head to the milk tea shop in the Lucky Cloud Pavilion. Matthew has been sighted and we must not let him get away this time!”

“Yes, sir!”

Every police officer in the police station then geared themselves up and headed out.

The sheriff went into a racy police car and he made a call to the captain of the 4th division, “We received a report that a man that looks like Matthew has been sighted in a milk tea shop on the street near the Lucky Cloud Pavilion. Please send help!”

“Roger that.”

The captain of the 4th division turned the car around and the captain of the 5th division asked with a frown, “What happened? They found Matthew?”

The captain of the 4th division nodded. “Inform our people to form a barricade at the intersection of Evergreen Street and send someone to the Lucky Cloud Pavilion.”

“There are six streets around the Lucky Cloud Pavilion, and Matthew could escape through any of them. Besides, he’s very good at covering his tracks, not to mention that he’s a profiler. We might not be able to get him.”

“We don’t have other choices. This is related to the reputation of the International Crime Unit and we have to succeed no matter what! Or else, the people here might laugh at us!”

The police cars and the sports cars from the International Crime Unit swarmed into the street.

The cashier of the milk tea shop raised her head and took a glance at Matthew, who was standing at the front of the line. Then, she turned to look at Fu Zhi and she wondered if she should call her forward to pick up her drink or not.

“Erm, miss, your strawberry slushie…” Just when she cleared her throat and said something, Matthew lifted his head up at the same time as Fu Zhi.

The heart of the cashier leaped into her throat, but she tried to make herself look as calm as possible. She put the drink on the desk, and before she could say anything, a dark-skinned hand appeared out of nowhere and snatched the drink away.

Facing the cashier, Matthew shook the drink in his hand as he began to take his mask off his face.

“Hold on, sir,” the cashier shouted, “This is not your drink. This is for the lady behind you, yours will have to wait a little longer.”

The police officer told them to hold Matthew off, so she had poured Matthew’s milk tea into the sink.

The man ignored her and continued to take the mask off his face. His eyes were blue like the sea as he stared at her and said, “Really?”

He had the same face as the man on the wanted notice. It was just that he looked skinnier since he had not been eating for a few days straight.

“Ma… Matthew…”

The cashier’s eyes widened in shock. The man grabbed the rest of the milk teas on the table and said, “Oh, sweetheart, I’m really sorry to meet you and get to know you this way, but it’s not a nice thing to tell on your friend, don’t you think?”

The cashier’s heart skipped a beat.

In the next second, as countless police officers swarmed into the building, Matthew turned around and shot at the window.

“Ahhh!!!”

The gunshot had thrown everyone in the building into confusion.

Then, Matthew jumped out of the window.

“Matthew! Matthew!” The cashier shouted as she pointed at the window, “Officer, that’s Matthew!”

“Lawson, hurry up!” The sheriff ran towards the window and he saw a blue sports car was speeding away on the road.

“F*ck!” The sheriff punched at the windowsill. He turned back to the cashier and asked, “Did he hurt you? What did Matthew take with him?”

“No, he didn’t hurt me. He took away the strawberry slushie, and this is the worst thing he could do. You know what, officer, due to the scarcity of ingredients, this is the last cup of strawberry slushie today!”

The sheriff was speechless, while Fu Zhi was stunned when she heard what the cashier had said?

“What did you say? That’s the last strawberry slushie?”

The cashier nodded. “Yes. How about I make you something else?”

Fu Zhi did not say anything in return. Her expression changed, and she put her phone down

She did not care if Matthew killed somebody, or set the building on fire, or broke the window, one thing that he should’ve never done was take away her drink, not to mention that that was the last strawberry slushie of the day! Did he not know that she had been wanting to drink a strawberry slushie for an entire day?

This was unforgivable!

Fu Zhi stretched her arm and rose to her feet.

There was chaos inside the building. Everyone was shouting and screaming and running haphazardly for their lives.

As Ye Jiu dragged Xu Wei behind a couch, she asked, “Xiao Jiu, where’s Zhizhi going? It’s so dangerous.”

As she was talking, she tried to break herself free from Ye Jiu’s clutches.

‘I have to protect Zhizhi! Go, go, go, Xu Wei, you can do this!’

However, Ye Jiu did not give her the chance. He grabbed tightly at the back of her collar and she nearly choked herself to death.

“Calm down, Xiao Jiu,” Xu Wei said, “I will not go anywhere, so can you please let go of your hand, I can’t breathe!”

It was never an easy task to capture Matthew. He broke through the barricade set up by the police and he crushed a few cars.

When the sheriff heard of the report, he hissed in exasperation, “How can you guys fail to stop him when there is only one of him and plenty of us? Where is the International Crime Unit? Are they not here yet?!”

The stone gambling session was around the corner. There were a lot of visitors from China and Country M, and it would affect the image of their country if they allowed Matthew to continue wreaking havoc in their country.

Just when the sheriff was on the anxious seat, he felt a strong tug from his back and he was dragged out of his car. Then, before he could do anything, the person had slithered into the car and slammed the door shut.

“Vroom!”

The engine was startled and it was only then the sheriff snapped himself back to reality.

“Hey! Hey! What are you doing?!” The sheriff shouted and pulled his gun out. He squinted his eyes and it was only then he saw clearly who the person was inside the car.

It was a young girl. She looked youthful but she had an imposing aura about him. There was no expression on her face as she rolled the window down.

The sheriff was stunned for a few seconds. The girl in front of him had a fair and delicate face. Her phone was on the passenger seat and it seemed like she was playing a game as he could hear the shout of her teammates.

“Li Wan, where the hell is you?!”

“How could you dump us again?!”

“You’d better watch out when you go out. I might hire someone to kill you!”

“I will be a dog if I ever play games with you again!”

The sheriff was stunned. However, he soon came back to his senses. He pointed his gun at her and shouted, “Girl, do you know that it’s a serious offense to assault a police officer? Get down from the car now!

“Sheriff,” Fu Zhi said as she stepped on the accelerator, “Didn’t you ask for help from the International Crime Unit?”
