“How dare you step into the fight between Gu Yanqi and me? Do you have no integrity at all?” Mark hissed, his voice thick with contempt.

As an outlaw himself, Mark was certain that Fu Zhi would not have the guts to kill him, so he continued, “After you get into the house, my men will go in as well. I will pull your bones out and use them as an easel, and tear up your skin to make paintings…”

Fu Zhi ignored him and looked around. She could see the house from her distance now, and the mercenaries from Phantom Lord had retreated to a hundred meters away.

“Yes, it’s me. Where’s Nanli? How is he now?”

“Young Master Li is in bad shape and Liu Mi is taking care of him now,’ Yu Sheng said, “These sons of b*tches! How dare they ambush us when we’re on our way to the banquet! After I get out of here, I swear to God I will kill every single one of them!”

Before Jiang Zheng could finish his sentence, he was cut short by Yu Sheng.

Then, he received another slap on his cheek.

Mark jerked his head and glared at Fu Zhi.

“You’re too noisy,” Fu Zhi replied flatly.

It was only then Yu Sheng and Jiang Zheng noticed the midget behind Mark. Although they knew it was rude to call someone a midget, the girl was really short and petite when she was standing beside Mark, who was big and burly.

Yu Sheng recognized that Fu Zhi was the girl who appeared at their meeting this morning. With a frown on his face, he asked, “Young Master Gu, what is she doing here?”

‘This is strange. Could it be that Young Master Gu defeated Mark, and he asked her to watch over Mark? But since when did Young Master Gu become so powerful?’

There was a myriad of questions in Yu Sheng’s brain.

“It’s a long story,” Gu Yanqi said. Then he turned to Fu Zhi and asked, “So what are we going to do with him now?”

“Release him.”

This was what Gu Yanqi was thinking as well.

Phantom Lord’s target was Li Nanli, and there was no way they would change their plan even if they lost Mark.

Secondly, the terrain in this area was complex, and no one could guarantee the chance of survival without conducting reconnaissance.

Fu Zhi released Mark. He took two steps forward and stretched his body. When he bent his body down, something glinted across his eyes and he shouted, “Die, b*tch!”

“She’s going to die before me!”

“You really are a noisy man,” Fu Zhi said, stunning the crowd.

She pulled the zipped down expressionlessly and revealed the black bulletproof vest inside.

“For a weak, feeble, and tiny little girl like me,” she continued, “Of course I have to wear a bulletproof vest at all times when I’m outside.

“Do you know what a bulletproof vest is? It can even stop a bullet, so do you think your little dagger can pierce through it?”

Both Mark and Gu Yanqi did not know what he should say.

Fu Zhi took her first-aid kit over from Gu Yanqi and glanced at Mark.

“Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you something.”

She threw the gun to Gu Yanqi and continued, “There’s no bullet in the gun. I’m just a cute little girl, so it’s impossible for me to hold a gun with bullets, right?”
