Shielding Fu Zhi behind his back, Gu Yanqi said, “The Gu Family and The Li Family have never done anything wrong to you. I’m sure you know that the reason you guys can push us to the corner is due to your weapon and manpower. As long as the Li Family’s Shadow Corps is here, you will have no possibility of winning.

“Besides, it will not do you any good if the news of you ambushing us at the Lucky Cloud Pavilion gets out, so how about let’s make a deal? No matter who pays for you guys to come, we are willing to pay ten times the price on top of that to cancel your plans.”

Mark ignored Gu Yanqi and clapped his eyes at the woman behind his back. Through the light, he saw that the woman’s face was dirty but her eyes were bright like the stars in the night sky.

A cruel smile danced across his lips when the thought came into his mind. He rolled his eyes around the sockets and said, “How about this? I know you don’t want to die, so I will give you a chance. Let’s play a game. If you win, I will let one of you live.”

“Captain! Boss said we should get rid of them as soon as possible!”

“Yeah, right! These people are as cunning as foxes. The two of them have killed many of our brothers, so who knows what they still have up their sleeves!”

“Boss ordered us to kill them right away!”

After all, they knew how tricky their mission was. Li Nanli was able to cause them some losses although he had only brought a team with him, so if they let him run away this time…

Gu Yanqi frowned.

He knew Mark must be up to something no good.

Just as he expected, Mark said, “Let’s have a fight. No weapons, just our fists.

“If you could defeat me, one of you could live. As for who will live, it’s up for you guys. Of course, you guys can rest assured that no one will interfere while the fight is still going on.”

Truth be told, anyone who did not know about Mark and met him for the first time would think that he was just an honest and simple man. However, what they did not know was that deep down that deceitful appearance of his hid a cruel heart.

Gu Yanqi was never a good fighter, Mark knew it very well since he had all the information about Gu Yanqi. He just couldn’t help himself to toy with his prey before he ate them.

Gu Yanqi turned around and said to Fu Zhi, “I will try my best to hold Mark. You find a chance and run as far as you can. Their target is Li Nanli, so they won’t go all out to look for you.

A stream of warm blood splashed down on his jaw, and he fell on the ground limply.

Many images crossed before his eyes and the last thing that appeared was a woman’s face.

“Get up.” Gu Yanqi felt someone was kicking him.

He opened his eyes and when he saw Fu Zhi, he signed, “You haven’t run away yet, huh? Then I’ll die first.”

Then, he closed his eyes.

Fu Zhi was speechless.

“What are you talking about? You can feel the pain even if the dagger is not stabbed on you?” Fu Zhi kicked at Gu Yanqi again and said, “Get up. It’s time to do some business.”

Gu Yanqi cracked his eyes open, and he was stunned when he saw that Fu Zhi was holding Mark at gunpoint now.

‘Who am I? Where the hell am I? And what the hell happened when I closed my eyes just now?’

A myriad of questions crossed Gu Yanqi’s head.

In fact, he was not the only one who was dumbfounded. Even the people from Phantom Lord did not know when Fu Zhi sneaked into the fight. “My boyfriend is in the house on top of the mountain,” she said, “And I just want to go there.”

The people from Phantom Lord stepped back and made way for her.

She injected the right amount of anesthesia into Mark’s body.

Mark was still struggling and Fu Zhi kicked him on his knee, causing him to jerk his head around and glared at her.

Fu Zhi had been here for more than two hours and her patience was running thin. She kicked at him again and said, “If you don’t know how to walk, you might as well don’t need your legs. I can ask Gu Yanqi to carry you up there.”

Both Mark and Gu Yanqi fell silent.
