The Indifferent Young Master’s Flash Marriage - Chapter 231
Chapter 231: Lowered Her Head Nervously
As Jiang Xuecheng looked at Su Wan waiting to be praised, an indistinct light appeared in his eyes. Su Wan indeed looked more and more like a little kitten.
Jiang Xuecheng was amused by his own imagination. He picked up his chopsticks and took a piece of prawn from the blue and white porcelain plate.
“It doesn’t taste too bad.”
Su Wan knew that when Jiang Xuecheng said it was not bad, he meant it was good. She couldn’t help laughing softly. Then, he took a piece of prawn and put it into her mouth too.
Mmmm, both the prawn and the sauce were tasty.
Su Wan happily picked up another piece. While Jiang Xuecheng watched her eat, he poured himself another glass of red wine.
The red wine in this restaurant was quite good. The wine was moderately acidic with a faint aroma of grapes.
When Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng left the restaurant, night had completely occupied the sky of S City.
Su Wan sat on the co-driver’s seat and looked at the neon lights lighting up one by one on the streets. Her stomach didn’t feel bloated, probably because she had not ordered too much food tonight.
On the contrary, she felt hot. Why had she dipped the food in so much chili sauce?
Although it was night, the summer heat in S City had not been dispersed. The night breeze blowing into the car from outside didn’t cool Su Wan down much.
With one hand supporting her chin, Su Wan grumbled, “It’s so hot…”
Jiang Xuecheng shot her a glance and led the conversation to another topic. “Wan Wan, do you know how to swim?”
Swim?
When she realized what Jiang Xuecheng was asking her, the image of a blue swimming pool in Fontainebleau appeared in her mind.
Su Wan smiled and she curved her eyes, showing the two dimples on her cheeks.
“I don’t know how to swim but I can play with the water!”
Jiang Xuecheng looked at Su Wan’s smiling face and then shifted his eyes back to the traffic in front of him.
He sped up and his black car zoomed toward home like a dim lightning.
After they arrived home, there were stars in the sky. A crescent hung above the trees and the brightness was subdued by the stars.
Su Wan placed her things in the living hall and ran towards the swimming pool. Though she was actually afraid to go into the pool, she liked to stand beside the pool to play with the water.
Su Wan stretched out her delicate palms. Because the pool had been under the sun the entire day, the water in the pool was still a little warm but it felt comfortable.
Suddenly, Su Wan heard the sound of footsteps behind her.
Su Wan snickered and at once, splashed some water onto Jiang Xuecheng. “Did I scare you?”
Su wan splashed the water without looking at Jiang Xuecheng. When she turned around, a man in swimming trunks appeared in her sight.
Jiang Xuecheng was standing not far away, looking down at her from above.
The light beside the swimming pool brought out Jiang Xuecheng’s perfect body. Each drop of water Su Wan had splashed on his body were like little crystals in the night.
Even if he merely stood there silently, he could make hearts race.
The night breeze was cooler by now but Su Wan’s mouth went dry and her cheeks felt warm.
Su Wan turned and dared not look at Jiang Xuecheng. She pointed at the swimming pool and there was awkwardness on her face. “Go ahead and swim.”
“Don’t you want to swim with me? I can teach you.”
Jiang Xuecheng darted her a look with distant and cold eyes. Su Wan shook her hand immediately and she replied, “I’m actually afraid of water, I’d better…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Jiang Xuecheng had walked forward and pushed her into the pool.
“If you don’t try, how do you know that you’re afraid?”
Gosh! Jiang Xuecheng, you’re a rascal!
The water flooded and covered Su Wan’s body. Su Wan widened her eyes and realized what Jiang Xuecheng had done to her. She quickly kicked and tried to lean towards the edge of the pool.
Su Wan’s sense of balance was really poor. Coupled with the fear in her, she got more and more panicky. She prayed that she would not drown.
When Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan’s struggles in the water, he had an evil smile.
He jumped into the water gracefully and with sharp eyes and agile hands, brought Su Wan into his arms. At the moment of close contact, he could feel Su Wan’s stiff muscles.
No wonder she couldn’t swim. She was stupid and nervous.
Jiang Xuecheng tucked Su Wan’s hair behind her ears. When he saw how adorable she looked as she tried to open her eyes, he couldn’t help tapping her nose.
“You must relax when you’re in the water or you’d lose your sense of balance.”
With the presence of a human life buoy, Su Wan let out a long sigh. She held onto Jiang Xuecheng’s arm and glared fiercely at him.
“I said I was afraid of water and you still pushed me in! Now that I’ve tried, can I get out?”
Jiang Xuecheng brought Su Wan to the edge and glanced at Su Wan’s wet dress. There was a glimmer in his eyes.
Clothes in summer were naturally thin. Now that it was wet, it became an astounding temptation.
He smiled slowly as he added, “Wan Wan, how can we do things halfway? I’ve said I’ll teach you how to swim and I won’t give up.”
Su Wan looked at Jiang Xuecheng’s serious smile and felt helpless. She had better not go against his wishes or she would be at the losing end.
“But I don’t have a swimsuit. How do I learn…”
As she spoke, she saw her thin dress and was instantly dumbfounded.
Feeling shocked, Su Wan immediately pushed Jiang Xuecheng away. Gosh, her dress…
Redness appeared on Su Wan’s face. Why did she wear a white dress today? After going into the water, she felt unnatural everywhere.
Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan’s blush and told her, “You have a swimsuit in your closet. It’s in the last row.”
Su Wan was speechless. Had Jiang Xuecheng long wanted to teach her how to swim?
After being in a dilemma for a while, Su Wan wanted to decline but before she could voice it out, Jiang Xuecheng had held her hand and brought her to the dressing room to get the swimsuit.
When they arrived at the dressing room, Su Wan opened the closet door.
Suddenly, rows of colorful women’s swimsuits came into view. Among them, the bikini was the most eye-catching.
Su Wan looked at the swimsuits placed tidily in the closet. Feeling stunned, she asked, “When did you buy these?”
“Last weekend,” Jiang Xuecheng replied. “Wan Wan, go and get change.”
Although Su Wan was reluctant, under his deep gaze, she picked a more conservative swimsuit.
Su Wan looked at herself in the mirror of the dressing room. Her face couldn’t help feeling warm. After some self encouragement, she slowly opened the door.
She lowered her head nervously and dared not look at Jiang Xuecheng. She didn’t know where to put her hands.
