The Indifferent Young Master’s Flash Marriage - Chapter 225
Chapter 225: People Are Biased
Jiang Zhiyuan looked solemn. His eyes swept across the mess in the music room and his cold eyebrows were curved upwards.
“How did An’ning faint?”
Jiang Xuecheng darted a look at Jiang Zhiyuan and said, “I’ll explain later. Let’s send An’ning to the hospital first.”
Although he didn’t like Sheng An’ning, he couldn’t watch Sheng An’ning die here.
If this was the case, he was afraid that Su Wan would have a hard life in the Jiang family in the future.
Sheng An’ning’s move was dangerous but it was indeed a clever one. Other than breaking her own retreat, she broke that of Jiang Xuecheng’s and Su Wan’s at the same time.
Sheng An’ning’s grandfather was Jiang Zhiyuan’s subordinate and was his friend of life. Back then, when the Sheng family entrusted Sheng An’ning to the Jiang family, Jiang Zhiyuan had promised to treat her like his own granddaughter.
In reality, the Jiang family treated Sheng An’ning as such. From a young age, Sheng An’ning enjoyed the privilege of being the Jiang family’s young missy. Luo Xiuxiu had treated her as the apple of her eye too.
Hence, no matter what, they would not allow anything bad to happen to Sheng An’ning here.
Before Jiang Xuecheng’s voice died down, Jiang Haoxuan had carried the unconscious Sheng An’ning and in a hurry, went pass the seniors who surrounded the door as he rushed out of the music room.
Xu Ziyao saw Jiang Haoxuan’s anxious look and frowned. Both her sons worried her. How nice it would be if the person Sheng An’ning liked was Haoxuan.
The situation might not be as ugly as it was today.

Jiang Haoxuan and Sheng An’ning got into the ambulance. Because the Jiang family’s old mansion was closest to The City Hospital of S City, Sheng An’ning was sent there first. If the situation changed, they would consider transferring her to Zhao Hua Hospital.
The seniors of the Jiang family were worried about Sheng An’ning. So, they ignored their need to rest and drove their cars to the hospital.
Naturally, Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan could not fall behind. So, they drove their Koenigsegg Agera R and followed suit.
In time of crisis like this, if Jiang Haoxuan confused everyone and distorted the truth in the hospital, Su Wan wouldn’t be able to clear her name even if she jumped into the river.
Jiang Xuecheng drove very fast. Su Wan’s mind was filled with what happened today and she was in a state of confusion at the moment.
Through the rear-view mirror, Su Wan saw Jiang Xuecheng’s father driving his car. She sighed softly. At the thought of the need to explain the matter all over again in the hospital later, she fretted.
Jiang Xuecheng heard Su Wan’s soft sigh and frowned. Then, he consoled her softly by saying, “Don’t be afraid, I’m here.”
Just like how he had promised Lin Fei’er at Zhao Hua Hospital today, he would not allow anyone to bully Su Wan, even if those were his family members.
The bright light from the street lamp shone on Jiang Xuecheng’s face and Su Wan could see his current expression clearly.
From his deep and cold eyes, she could sense some tenderness.
A different feeling sprang up in her mind and she gaped but not a single word could be uttered.
Su Wan felt as if something was stuck in her throat and it gave rise to her urge to cry.
If there is one person who cares for you so much in this world, the feeling is indescribable. She was touched but it was stained with bitterness.
When Jiang Xuecheng arrived at The City Hospital of S City, Sheng An’ning had already been sent into the emergency department.
Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng, alongside seniors of the Jiang family, went to the level where Sheng An’ning was.
The night grew darker and not many patients were left in the City Hospital of S City though occasionally, one could still hear the sound of patients or nurses walking.
Su Wan raised her head to look at the ceiling. Her eyelids suddenly twitched.
In fact, Su Wan despised the hospitals. Since the day of her parents’ accident, she didn’t like the smell of disinfectant in the hospitals. Lin Fei’er’s accident a while ago had deepened this sort of feeling in Su Wan.
However, now, she had no choice but to sit on the chair outside the emergency ward.
The minute they sat down, Luo Xiuxiu couldn’t suppress her anxiousness. She came over to Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan as she asked, “Wan, tell me, why did the two of you come back suddenly? Why did An’ning become like this?”
Luo Xiuxiu genuinely liked Sheng An’ning. On one hand, she was concerned about her husband’s subordinate and on the other hand, Sheng An’ning was a likeable child.
Su Wan’s lips moved. She saw that Xu Ziyao and the others looked toward them too. For a moment, she didn’t know how to explain to Luo Xiuxiu.
How could she convince them that the seemingly gentle and pure Sheng An’ning had planned such a vicious plot against her as soon as she returned?
How could she be tactful enough to show her calmness?
When Jiang Haoxuan saw Su Wan in a silence, he misunderstood that she had a guilty conscience. He thought of the uncertain fate of Sheng An’ning, who was still in the emergency room, and a throbbing pain arose in his heart.
“Grandmother, do you know what kind of wife Brother has married? She was trying to force An’ning to death!”
It was not only Luo Xiuxiu’s, but even Xu Ziyao’s, Jiang Zhiyuan’s and Jiang Wei’s faces changed. They had obviously not expected an exaggerated argument between Su Wan and Sheng An’ning.
“Grandmother, I…”
Just when Su Wan was about to provide an explanation, Jiang Xuecheng blocked her and stood in front of her like a knight.
Although Su Wan was his wife, Jiang Xuecheng knew that in the eyes of the Jiang family members, her worth was much lower than Sheng An’ning’s.
Sheng An’ning had stayed in the Jiang family for more than ten years. She was a girl whom Luo Xiuxiu, Jiang Zhiyuan, Jiang Wei, and Xu Ziyao watched grow up.
People’s hearts were biased. Who could guarantee absolute fairness?
He was the eldest son of the Jiang family. It would be much better if he were to explain compared to Su Wan.
Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes moved and he stared at Jiang Haoxuan steadily. His eyes were as deep as the ocean.
“You avoid the important points and dwell on the trivial. You speak slandering words against your sister-in-law. Have you returned everything you learned to your teacher?”
Jiang Xuecheng’s voice was as gentle as the river but once it entered everyone’s ears, there was a kind of terrifying power.
This was the first time Jiang Haoxuan was directly criticized. His expression laxed and he snorted coldly.
“You only know how to defend Su Wan but you’ve never turned back to look at An’ning who stands behind you!”
What was so good about that woman Su Wan? To Jiang Haoxuan, what Sheng An’ning had done for Jiang Xuecheng was far more than Su Wan.
When the Jiang seniors heard what Jiang Xuecheng said, their hearts surged like waves.
Jiang Zhiyuan stared at Jiang Xuecheng with a face of solemnness.
After all, he was once the powerful man in Jiuzhou who was accustomed to playing tricks. Everyone present could feel his air of authority.
“What do you mean by avoiding the important and dwelling on the trivial? What slander? Tell me directly. I don’t like people who beat around the bush!”
