The Indifferent Young Master’s Flash Marriage - Chapter 180
Chapter 180: To Be United Forever
With one hand leaning against the handlebars of the bicycle, Jiang Xuecheng smiled and looked at the angry Su Wan leisurely. He was in a comfortable posture.
“Wan Wan, are you sure you don’t want to get up? If you don’t, I’ll go now.”
“Hey, how could you leave your partner behind like this?”
Su Wan rolled her eyes but her feet brought her towards the man in front of her.
She tiptoed and got up to the back seat of the tandem bicycle.
The early summer’s warm breeze brushed against Su Wan’s body. She half-leaned against Jiang Xuecheng’s shoulders. Her white skirt fluttered, just like the fallen flowers and leaves fluttering with the wind.
To take care of Su Wan’s feelings, Jiang Xuecheng rode the bicycle at an appropriate speed, not too fast and not too slow.
Su Wan could smell Jiang Xuecheng’s clean and pleasant breath and her mood was warm just like the sunny weather.
Finally, they too had become part of the scene in the idol drama.
They made many heads turn as they leisurely went past the antique streets of Beitong.
Jiang Xuecheng had a noble and cold look while Su Wan who was currently hugging him, gave off the feeling of a timid and lovable little woman. Appearing together in the same picture, they were particularly eye-catching.
Su Wan saw people’s envious look and her lips curved up uncontrollably.
As the decision maker of Di Chen Group, he had always been the dream guy of countless women. She and him had never met but because of a chance encounter, they were tied together.
It was good. Jiang Xuecheng was very outstanding but he was her Jiang Xuecheng.
He was her husband who would embrace her self-will, remind her to eat, and smile at her…
She was afraid many people would not believe that an ice cube could have moments of gentleness like this…
When Jiang Xuecheng heard Su Wan’s titter behind him, he smiled and asked softly, “Wan Wan, what are you thinking?”
Thinking of you!
When the deep and magnetic voice entered her ears, her previous thought immediately appeared in her mind. She felt a little bashful and couldn’t help laughing again.
Su Wan dared not utter such bold and straightforward lover’s prattle and could only hide it in the bottom of her heart.
After wrapping her arms around the man’s slender waist, Su Wan rubbed on his back and she looked just like a lazy kitten.
“Shall we go hiking later? The last time I was here, I was tired and did not climb to the peak.”
“Sure.”
Before Jiang Xuecheng’s voice died down, suddenly, there was a sound bang and the bicycle stopped immediately.
What had happened?
Su Wan was scared out of her wits by the sudden unexpected situation!
“Wan Wan, are you alright?”
Jiang Xuecheng put his legs down to steady the bicycle. He turned to look at Su Wan and saw her bewilderment and shock.
After regaining her senses, she darted a look at the heavy object that had fallen. It turned out that the chain of the bicycle had broken.
“The quality of the rented bicycle is too low. It looked like a brand-new bicycle! We should feedback to the person in charge later.”
Su Wan jumped down from the bicycle. Her brows knitted and she started to grumble.
Jiang Xuecheng got down quickly too. He looked at the broken chain and then at Su Wan.
When this little woman was annoyed, her cheeks would flush red and she looked like a cat with hair and tail erected, making those who see her want to tease her.
A sense of banter flashed through Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes. “Wan Wan, could it be that you’re too heavy? When I rode alone just now, it was fine.”
Su Wan rolled her eyes. Women were most sensitive to weight and age. Moreover, hadn’t Jiang Xuecheng been thinking she was too skinny?
He was using this to tease her.
Su Wan was unwilling to show weakness and so rebutted, “You’re heavier than I am. If the chain broke because of weight, your responsibility is much bigger than mine!”
Jiang Xuecheng smiled as he caressed Su Wan’s hair. Both of them gazed at one another and after a while, they both laughed.
Actually, banter between them was very interesting.
Jiang Xuecheng pushed the bicycle while Su Wan walked beside him. Both of them decided to walk back to the place they rented the bike and tell them about the quality of the bicycles.
If every tourist who rented the bicycles were as unfortunate as they were and encountered the broken chain just after several hundred meters, then the tourists would not be in a good mood!
After hearing Su Wan’s and Jiang Xuecheng’s feedback, the person in charge of the bicycle promised he would check the performance of the bicycles in the future and ensured that it would not happen again.
Both of them had originally planned to go hiking but now, lacking transportation, they had decided to take a stroll along the street and visit the roadside shops along the way instead.
As Beitong promoted ‘returning to the slow-paced life, experiencing the ancient culture’, the shops along the roadside sold antique handicrafts.
Jiang Xuecheng was not interested in delicate handicrafts but because Su Wan wanted to shop, he accompanied her patiently to each shop.
After Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng walked out of an antique calligraphy and painting shop, in the blink of an eye, they went into a small gift shop next door.
The shop owner was a middle-aged woman. As Beitong was in its trial operation period, not many people visited the shops. So, when she saw someone visiting, she came up to them immediately in a friendly manner.
“Hello, handsome and pretty. At one glance, I know you’re a couple. Would you like to take a look at our new pair of jade rings? The quality and the sculpture are excellent!”
Su Wan was not used to the friendliness of the shop owner. Her eyes swept across that pair of jade rings. At first glance, the green of the jade was shocking and she could see that they were inferior man-made products.
Su Wan smiled stiffly as she shook her hands. “No, thank you. We wish to look around ourselves.”
The lady shop owner skimmed through Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng. These two people were exquisite in appearance and dressing and at one glance, she knew they were from a rich family. If she was able to convince them to buy something, she might make a great deal of business today.
However, this good-looking pair looked familiar…
Had she seen them before?
The lady shop owner gave a puzzled smile and for a moment, forgot to continue promoting the pair of jade rings.
Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng walked into the deepest part of the shop. Her eyes landed on a simple wooden pendant tied to the gift rack with a red string.
The wooden pendant was dark coffee in color and it was merely the size of half a small palm. The most eye-catching was the poetry carved on the pendant.
‘May I be like the stars and you, the moon; May we shine brightly every night.’
Su Wan was a person who liked ancient poetry. She couldn’t help picking up the wooden pendant.
When she turned over, she saw on the other side of the pendant several words: ‘To Be United Forever’.
The elegant font moved Su Wan.
