The Idol Group Pet Became a Final Boss! - Chapter 238
Chapter 238: Candy 2
Ah, this made one…
Conflicted. 🙂
The man pressed between his eyebrows and chuckled.
‘Alright.’
‘It is what it is.’
‘Just let it be, everything is already the best possible arrangement,’ he told himself a few words of chicken soup for the soul and turned around, standing by the bed for a few seconds.
Some ‘inhuman’ thoughts flashed through his mind.
Finally, he turned off the lights and picked up the script sitting on his bedside table. He sat down on the armchair next to the floor to ceiling windows and began flipping through the pages with distinct fingers using a small night light.
Shi Sui was still debating if he wanted to take this film or not.
The script was wonderful, describing a holy and pure church that had a blooming flower of evil embedded within it, while the dark and damp mental asylum contained the only shining point in the entire movie.
The plot was based on a criminal deduction story that interlocked as the supporting cast all had high intelligence levels.
Romance budded in the rivalry between the high IQ priest that was a criminal, and the young psychiatrist. It began with a cat-and-mouse chase and ended with regret and tragedy, oozing with drama.
In all fairness, Shi Sui wanted to take the role.
But he couldn’t do romance scenes.
It wasn’t an issue with his acting skills.
More like a psychological problem.
His rejection of contact with females had become a psychological barrier.
Director Yan had tried several methods to help him, but everytime Shi Sui began to film, he would vomit as soon as the camera started rolling. There was no effect at all, and he could only give up in the end.
Previous scripts he’d received were okay, but if they were to remove the role of the young doctor from this film, or scenes involving the young doctor, the entire film would lose its balance. It would also fail to meet the requirements for this director’s artistic expression.
So, he either had to overcome the psychological barrier of acting in a romantic role, or he would have to pass up the job altogether.
Shi Sui felt a headache approaching when the girl on the bed rolled over, overheated, and kicked off the blanket.
“…” So mischievous.
Shi Sui shook his head. He put down the script and stood up to cover her up.
Drunkenly, she called out: “Xiao Naofu… Tong Tong…”
She felt around for the cat, half-awake. Xiao Naofu was nowhere to be found, but she touched…
Shi Sui’s hand.
Her pale fingers tentatively rubbed at the texture a few times. Then realizing it was not right, she opened her eyes.
The sky spun before her eyes as she desperately tried to focus her vision. Finally, she recognized the man in front of her.
“It’s you?”
Shi Sui raised an eyebrow, allowing her act of ‘violation’. “Who am I?”
“Cub.”
“…什么?”
“…What?”
“Zaizai.” Xiang Yi’s eyes did not waver. “Why are you here? This is where Xiao Naofu sleeps.”
To emphasize this, she patted the pillow next to her with her hand.
Shi Sui licked his lips. “Then tell me, where should I be sleeping?”
It was too difficult to ask a drunk person to perform radical analysis.
Xiang Yi felt her head throb as she blurted out: “You…the cat bed.”
Shi Sui sneered. “Is there a cat bed this big?”
With confidence, the girl boasted: “I’ll get my third brother to make you one!”
Shi Sui: “Sure, I’ll wait for him. You keep sleeping.”
He leaned over to pick up the blanket as the girl hung off the edge of the bed. Cheeks pressed against the black bedsheets, her skin seemed extraordinarily pale.
The drunk girl spoke slowly, in a much warmer tone than normal. “You, you look good…”
“Hm?” Shi Sui positioned himself on the ground and crossed his legs. Curiously, he looked at her. “Between me and your brother, who looks better?”
Xiang Yi frowned, as if she was once again being forced to be open for business.
