The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 96
Chapter 96: Too Abnormal
Sebastian sat on the sofa not far from her and kept staring at her. On the coffee table was the computer that he had brought out casually. Sophia was uncomfortable under his gaze. This was the first time he had come to look for her after many days.
Sophia saw a smile on Sebastian’s face. Was he in a good mood today? She couldn’t read his eyes. Maybe he was mocking her.
Even so, Sebastian’s gaze was like a magnet, attracting Sophia and making her unable to concentrate.
“Bro?” Sophia tried to probe, but she immediately realized that something was wrong and immediately changed how she addressed him. “Oh, no, Mr. CEO. Is there something you want to say to me?”
She was still used to calling him ‘bro’.
“That sounds very awkward. You don’t have to call me ‘Mr. CEO’. Call me ‘bro’ when no one is around.” Sebastian didn’t know what was wrong with him. Could it be that he was still affected by the dream? But he had already said that, and it wasn’t easy to take it back.
Sophia looked at his face. It was the first time she realized that his eyelashes were so long. She saw that Sebastian’s eyes were deep. His eyes made her heart beat faster. She saw his eyes. There was a fire burning in his eyes. He looked at her with a burning gaze. It made Sophia feel shy.
Sophia panicked. She lowered her head.
What was wrong with him today?
Sebastian didn’t know what was wrong with him either. But he knew that if this continued, he would be even more confused about his relationship with her. He decided in his heart. He wanted to get close to her and see what would happen.
“Check your email.” His voice finally returned to normal, but was it too rigid and demanding?
“Okay, bro.” Sophia didn’t think too much about it. To her, work was work. It was to complete the task at all costs and then challenge the next more difficult task.
The mouse made a crisp sound, and she began to read the email attentively.
Sebastian looked hard at her. He looked at Sophia’s profile, which looked much more beautiful than in the dream. Her nose was straight and beautiful, and her lips were full and sexy.
She looked like she had a strict attitude toward work, but she still retained the innocence of a schoolgirl looking so young. The image of this girl combined with Sophia in the dream, and Sebastian felt a little turned on.
“Bro, I’ve finished reading it. Wright gave me the report you asked for, and I’ve finished reading it. I can give it to you as soon as I can sort it out. When do you want it?” There was a hint of excitement in Sophia’s voice.
In the few days that Wright had given her the assignment, Sophia had cherished it. She had carefully read through the material Wright had given her, over and over again. Although she had never encountered the type of material Wright had given her in the past few days back in school, she wanted to go one step further or make something out of this.
She was looking forward to producing one or two industry reports to learn more from this job.
Sebastian could see that Sophia was very happy. He felt that his decision was correct.
“I need it for a meeting tomorrow morning. You can make a PowerPoint presentation for me.” Sebastian wanted to do things professionally so that Sophia could not see through his thoughts.
“Okay, bro,” Sophia blurted. After saying that, she frowned regretfully.
Because she remembered that it was already Friday, she had already promised Carl and Laura to go home for dinner today. ff nothing unexpected happened, David would be at the NRTE building in half an hour.
“You don’t look too pleased. Do you have something to do later?” Sebastian noticed the change in Sophia’s mood and unconsciously frowned.
“I’m fine. I’ll give it to you by tonight.” Sophia decided to cherish this opportunity. After all, this was the first task Sebastian had given her. She could prove to Sebastian that even if she was pregnant, she could still meet NRTE’s standard and finish the work on time and perfectly. It could also make up for the mistakes she made in the previous form.
If she couldn’t go back today, she would ask David to make another trip tomorrow. Her brother had loved her since she was young, so he probably wouldn’t say anything.
However, she couldn’t let her mother know that she worked overtime. With her mother’s sentimental personality, she would probably feel that her work at NRTE was difficult, and she would secretly cry.
“I’ve asked Chef Phil to prepare dinner for you. It’s quite healthy. You can go eat when you’re hungry later.” Sebastian got up from the sofa and pointed in a direction. After that, he walked back to his office.
“Thank you.” The food on the fifth floor was a little greasy and didn’t suit Sophia’s appetite. After hearing what Sebastian said, she was really hungry.
“I have asked Phil to come here. Don’t eat on the fifth floor in the future.” Sebastian’s back was stiff as his shoulders moved. There was no emotion in his voice.
‘There is a personal chef on the twenty-third floor? Is Sebastian concerned about me? Seriously, he’s clearly concerned about me, but he’s still ordering me around.’
Sophia recalled the way Sebastian looked at her when he was sitting on the sofa, and she blushed again.
‘He’s really abnormal today.’ She thought..
