The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 86
Chapter 86: She Has A Different Status
Sophia initially had some doubts, too. But on second thought, Daisy did say that she was now working in the administration department. There was a reason for her to deliver their work badges.
“When I arrived earlier, I couldn’t remember which floor the interns were supposed to report to. Fortunately, Daisy told me,” Alan said and scratched his head in embarrassment.
“Sophia, we meet again.” Daisy had specially requested this errand from Rosa. Rosa did not want Daisy to be everywhere as she did not like Daisy at all.
This girl had no administrative experience, and she was not particularly smart either. Her desire to climb up the ladder using men was apparent, making Rosa look down on her.
But now, Rosa could do nothing about it. She could not understand why the president’s assistant, Wright, would randomly show Daisy around the building.
Even though she looked down on her, Rosa was less harsh on her. When Daisy said she would deliver the work badges to the interns, Rosa did not object.
Daisy looked at Sophia and pretended to be concerned. “How are you? Have you settled in?”
“My new colleagues are all excellent. I like this place very much. Thank you, Daisy.” Anita was the only common thing she and Daisy had. But even Anita noticed that Daisy had started to pop up around them from time to time more often now.
“Ah, I got carried away and still haven’t distributed your badges.” Daisy reminded herself and began to look at the names on the badges.
“Decca, here you go.”
“Thank you. I’m so flattered that a beautiful lady is here to give it to me.” Decca took his badge and looked at his photo. He was the kind of person who was confident in his looks and cared about his looks. In the photo, Decca was wearing a blue suit. He was very handsome and energetic.
“Alan, here you go.” When Daisy handed it to Alan, she accidentally touched his hand.
Alan looked at his finger where touched had touched it and was stunned. After a while, he started to thank her. “Oh, thank you, thank you.”
“Jessica, you’re even prettier than your picture!” Although Daisy was inexperienced, she knew that the competition between interns was very fierce. She wanted to build a good relationship with the rest of the interns so that she could pull some tricks in the future.
As Daisy liked to be praised for her beauty, she thought that all pretty girls would fall for it. Unexpectedly, Jessica’s face turned duller than before. She only calmly said, “Thank you.”
Jessica accepted her work badge and rubbed the NRTE company logo with her fingertips. She cherished it very much. Although it was only an internship, the moment she received the badge, pride rose in her heart.
“Sophia, your role. Wow, Sophia, your role is different from theirs!” Daisy’s voice was a little exaggerated, and all her intentions were achieved at once.
Seeing Daisy say this, the interns looked up and looked over suspiciously. Jessica had also moved a little closer to Daisy.
“An assistant investment analyst…” As Alan was the closest to Daisy, he was the first to see the badge in Daisy’s hand and read it out loud.
“Aren’t interns from the financial investment department assigned to this office? Sophia, why are you an assistant analyst?” Alan exclaimed.
“I… I don’t know either.” Sophia did not know. “Maybe the company made a mistake.” She knew that she had attracted too much attention, so she could only say that to brush it off for now.
Even she couldn’t convince herself, let alone the other interns. NRTE had always been meticulous in every procedure, so how could it make a mistake?
“Oh my, Sophia was interviewed by the CEO, so of course she’s different.” Daisy saw a trace of displeasure on the interns’ faces, so she decided to continue adding fuel to the fire.
“Whatever it is, the CEO is both Sophia and my senior. Please take special care of her. Moreover, Sophia’s good friend, Anita, is the CEO’s only sister.” Daisy knew Sophia would not have a good time among the interns in the future.
“Daisy!” Sophia saw the changing expressions of the other interns and was a little angry. What did Daisy mean by that? She had gotten this challenging offer with her own efforts, but was Daisy implying that she had used some underhanded tactics to get into NRTE?
She saw the other seniors looking over, frowning as if the interns were disturbing them. Sophia quickly took her badge and decided to ignore Daisy. She then sat down quietly.
Jessica knew that Sophia was the top student in the Faculty of Finance at Rotary University, but her Faculty of Finance at Harper University ranked higher than Sophia’s university in the past two years. There shouldn’t be too huge of a gap in terms of capabilities between them. If Sophia came in through connections, she must just be so-so.
Jessica breathed a sigh of relief..
