The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 85
Chapter 85: Do You Know Each Other?
“I saw the CEO from afar when he was giving a lecture at school.” Alan didn’t arrive early, but he wanted to familiarize himself with his colleagues as soon as possible. After all, they were colleagues working together, so it was always good to build good relationships.
He continued, “If I hadn’t reserved a seat in advance for his seminar, I wouldn’t have been able to squeeze in. It’s a venue that could fit a thousand pax, and many girls were in front. If I were a girl, I would have squeezed myself up in front!”
“Before I came, I searched his name on Google, and there were very few pictures of him. But the finance world is full of stories about him. He founded NRTE at the age of sixteen and is now the best in the industry. I’m really curious what he looks like,” Decca said sincerely to Alan.
Sophia did not expect that even guys would be so interested in Sebastian. So, her interest in Sebastian seemed to be justified.
Yes, she remembered that the venue for Sebastian’s NRTE seminar at her university was already packed before the opening. If Anita hadn’t reserved a seat for her, she might not have been able to find a seat in the back row.
“I’d rather know the details of our internship than the CEO.” Jessica was a little tired of the boys’ excessive interest in gossip, and she wanted to switch to a more practical topic.
On Wall Street, time was money, efficiency was money, and gossip was worthless. Jessica didn’t care about the CEO’s appearance at all. She only cared about whether she could smoothly be retained in NRTE after the internship.
She knew how much effort and time she had put in to get into NRTE. She couldn’t let such effort and time become worthless costs in the end. The number one in the finance industry was a far cry from the number two in the industry.
Jessica also knew how strict NRTE was when it came to identifying talent. Her classmate Kyle had always been a strong competitor and slightly better than her.
However, Kyle had only made a mistake with a punctuation mark on his resume, and his resume was tossed aside. He also lost the chance to enter NRTE forever. Although she also felt sorry for Kyle, having one less competitor was desirable to her.
After many rounds of screening and interviews, Jessica was qualified to sit here in the NRTE headquarters on the seventeenth floor of the building. She could not relax. There are still many levels to get onto and many monsters to fight.
When she heard that Sophia had passed the interview on the spot, she couldn’t believe it.
Only yesterday, Jessica finally received a call from NRTE about the result of her interview. It was already the eleventh day after her final interview round. She was already planning to give up and had started preparing for interviews with other companies in the industry.
Jessica felt that she was lucky. When the human resources department asked her on the phone when she could start, she told them without hesitation that she would be there the next day.
After so many rounds of interviews, Jessica did not even see the CEO. But Sophia was different. Sophia only went through one round of interviews, and she heard that the CEO hired her on the spot.
Over Decca’s shoulder, Jessica secretly began to size up Sophia. Her looks were impeccable. She was very beautiful, but she was not bright and was even a little cold. She did not look like a person who was easy to approach.
When Sophia entered the workstation, she was only polite when she greeted them. She did not try to socialize too much. No one knew what she was thinking. She was completely different from the two male interns.
However, she kept stroking her stomach. Was she feeling uncomfortable? Or was there some other reason?
When Jessica found that Sophia’s head was slightly tilted in her direction, she quickly stopped looking at her.
Sophia was not simple. If they were competing for the same position in the future, Sophia must be the competitor she should be the most careful of.
Only by knowing oneself and their enemy could one win a hundred battles. “What positions are you all in?” Jessica needed to plan for her future.
“Interns in the financial analysis department.”
“Yes, me too. Wasn’t there only one internship position in the NRTE campus recruitment?” The interns noticed that Decca always liked to say a few more words.
“Me too.” Jessica’s eyes flashed with a competitive light.
“Sophia, you haven’t said yours yet,” Alan reminded.
“Since she joined our batch at the same time, I think Sophia has the same role as us,” Decca answered first.
Jessica frowned. It seemed that the three interns present were all her opponents.
“Interns, your work badge has arrived.”
“Why are you here?” Alan’s face started to turn red.
“You know each other?” The others were a little surprised.
“Daisy?”
