The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 79
Chapter 79: Try Saying ‘Senior’
Anita was quiet for a while, and Sophia subconsciously noticed Anita talking about giving up her spot to Daisy.
Was it because of Anita that Daisy was at NRTE?
And who made Sebastian’s assistant, Wright, personally show her around the company?
Sophia rarely thought about so many things in the past, but these unanswered questions seemed to increase since she became pregnant. Some questions were straightforward, but she couldn’t think of the answers. Usually, it was fine when she could not remember all the questions that plagued her mind, but she felt a little nervous and unsettled when she thought of them, which made her subconsciously nauseous.
She touched her belly. Was it because of the baby?
Sophia did not think too long before Anita sent another message.
Anita wrote, “Which position did you apply for?”
Sophia felt it a little strange. Although she did not explicitly tell Anita about the position she was applying for as a finance major, many things were tacit. Logically, Anita should be able to guess what job she applied for.
Maybe she didn’t. Sophia didn’t overthink about it for the time being and replied, “Assistant
Financial Analyst. ”
Anita responded, “Wow!”
This felt even stranger. It was as if a different person was responding to Sophia.
Anita continued, “Did you see him during the interview today? Did he give you a hard time?”
‘He’ implied Sebastian, right? And was it unusual for an interviewer to give candidates a hard time?
Sophia didn’t think it was a difficult interview and responded, “No.”
Anita responded, “No arguments?”
Sophia replied, No.”
Sophia then asked, “Who are you? Where’s Anita?”
Even if Sophia wasn ‘t as sensitive as she used to be, there was a considerable difference between the way Anita texted and this person. She’s not retarded, so she noticed that.
Anita’s response was, “You’re a smart girl. I’m Sebastian and Anita’s uncle. Just call me ‘Senior’.
Sophia replied,
It didn’t matter whether it was Anita’s uncle. What mattered was whether Anita was okay.
Sophia demanded, “I want to listen to Anita’s voice.”
A reply came from Anita’s phone, “She’s a little emotional right now.”
Sophia threatened, “You can send a voice message, or I will call the police on you. Pick one.”
The person holding Anita’s phone was not faint-hearted and quickly sent a voice message.
Sophia heard Anita’s familiar voice, “Raphael, you b*stard! Give me back my phone!” A young male voice replied to Anita, mischievous and willful, “I won’t!”
Sophia couldn’t understand, but she could hear that Anita was angry but still alive.
She only couldn’t get hold of her phone.
Anita texted again, but Sophia already knew that it wasn’t Anita who was texting her.
She got a text from Anita. “Little girl, why did you argue with Sebastian earlier? I’ve never seen him lose his temper with a girl outside of work.”
Even when Sebastian met with a suitor he didn’t like, he mostly ignored her.
It was a waste of time to argue with a girl he didn’t know.
Raphael decided that the next time he saw his nephew, he would tease him.
Raphael’s voice was also in the voice message he had just sent to Sophia. He only said two words, but Sophia could tell that the man was young and that it was inappropriate for him to address him as a ‘little girl’.
However, Sophia did not correct him. “For personal reasons, Senior gave me a piece of advice that I did not like.”
Raphael was not satisfied with that answer. “That’s it?”
How could he make fun of Sebastian with such a reason?
But his attention was immediately drawn to another detail. “Why are you calling him ‘senior?”
Sophia replied, “He graduated from Rotary University’s Faculty of Finance, and I’m now studying there. So he’s my senior.”
Anita replied, “Oh, do you always call him that?”
“No, I used to call him ‘bro’, but he didn’t like it.’ But after that, it seemed like it was the same thing.
Sophia asked, “Is there a problem?”
Yes, of course, there was a problem.
For a man like Sebastian, establishing any kind of relationship with a girl was very problematic.
Even if they were brother and sister, it was still problematic.
There were so many students in the Faculty of Finance of Rotary University, but not every student could call Sebastian ‘bro’.
Raphael glanced at Anita, who could not reach her phone because she was not tall enough.
”
“There’s something wrong with your brother.
Anita was confused.
Which brother? What problem?
Did he think she would ask such a stupid question? No, she would not. After all, Raphael often used such a method to trick her into offending her brothers. She would not fall for it!
Anita snarled, “I think you’re the one with the problem!”
Raphael shook his head regretfully and replied to Sophia, “No problem. Perhaps Sebastian can accept ‘senior’ better. Previously, when I called him ‘nephew’, he ignored me. Next time, I’ll try calling him ‘senior’, too. Let’s see how he reacts.”
Sophia was rendered speechless..
