Anita remembered that she had a reserved spot at Sebastian’s company. She had initially wanted to give the spot to Sophia, but Sophia was too stubborn. She insisted on going through the official channel to enter NRTE and was unwilling to take the offer.

With Sebastian’s lousy temper, Anita refused to work with him. If Sophia did not want the spot, she still would not want it.

But if Daisy needed it, she could give it to her.

Anita said, “I can help you get an internship in my brother Sebastian’s company. But he runs a finance company. It has nothing to do with your major. You might find it challenging.”

Daisy acted as if she did not hear what Anita said after that. She said excitedly, “Really, Anita? I go to your brother’s company?”

“Yes, you can. Although you may not be used to working there, my brother’s company is at least legit. You won’t be made to sign such an unfair contract.”

Daisy hugged Anita. She even wanted to kiss her!

Anita sent her the address of NRTE’s headquarters and asked her to mention her name directly.

Daisy dressed up beautifully, but she didn’t meet Sebastian at the company. A woman greeted her. “Excuse me, are you Miss Seeley?”

Daisy was a little absent-minded. She wanted to see Sebastian, not his minions.

Imagining that these people would call her Madam Seeley politely in the future, she could not help but feel excited. She replied condescendingly, “Yes, I am. Are you bringing me to meet Sebastian?”

Feeling that Rosa did not like her, Daisy held back her temper and showed a flattering smile. “Okay, I was a little impolite. Did the CEO not tell you where to place me?”

‘The CEO has a lot of things to attend to every day. How could he have the time to bother about such things?’ Rosa thought disdainfully. If it were the CEOs sister, Anita, it would have been fine. But who did Daisy think she was? Was she even worth the CEO’s time and attention?

Daisy knew she shouldn’t refute, so she cleverly kept silent, but she was not convinced.

Rosa glanced at her. “Since your major doesn’t match what the company requires of an intern, you can go to the administrative department for an internship. Learn the job quickly.”

NRTE very generously rented a building on Wall Street. Each floor was a department. The company’s rule was that other than the department heads and cleaners; other employees were not allowed to go to floors that did not belong to their departments.

The administration department was on the fourth floor, and the CEO’s office was on the twenty-third floor.

Daisy went to work at NRTE for several days but did not see Sebastian.
