The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 213
Chapter 213: Morris Punished
“Morris! What did you do!”
“Dad! It’s all because of that woman. She seduced Norman.” Morris felt extremely wronged. Her father never called her by her name. It was always ‘sweetheart’ and ‘honey’.
Morris hated that woman to her core. If it weren’t for Sophia, her father wouldn’t have treated her like this. He never even scolded her.
“Shut up! This has nothing to do with anyone else. Don’t blame all the mistakes on others.” When Milan Bess heard that, he became even angrier. He was absolutely disappointed in his daughter. She was blaming everything on others, a woman with no significant background.
“Dad! How can you side with an outsider? She seduced Norman. Is it still my fault?” Morris cried loudly. She had never been so sad before. But, for the sake of his father’s favor, she had endured it for a long time.
“Morris! I’m warning you! Don’t involve others in this. Are you jealous because of a man? Our family’s face has been thrown away by you. Take a look for yourself. Where is the stock price now? It’s because of Norman and that woman you can’t stand! Go and apologize to her!”
“But, Dad, it’s her fault!” Morris was still unwilling to let it go. What did she do wrong? She was Norman’s legitimate fiancee, and Sophia was just a wild woman.
A loud slap landed on her face. With a crisp sound, blood immediately gushed out from the corner of Morris’s mouth. She looked at her father in disbelief.
She would never have thought that her father would hit her because of someone else!
“This is a lesson for you. Remember your identity in the future. Does the Bess family need to go so low as to fight with others like this? How many people are lining up to marry into our family? Did you have to do this just for Norman? Tell me, aren’t you cheap?” Morris’s father glanced at her coldly.
“Morris, I’m warning you, if you can’t settle this, you’ll pack up and leave!” Milan said coldly.
“Humph.” She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. Then, she turned around and left.
“Father, is our family’s business going bankrupt?” Morris’s brother looked at his sister leaving and asked.
“It won’t go bankrupt. I’ve already reached an agreement with the chairmen of those big companies. As long as our Bess family survives this crisis, they will help us get through it. So you don’t have to worry. Just wait and see. But we still obtained a heavy loss. ”
Morris’ mother comforted him by the side, but her heart was filled with worry. She didn’t expect things to develop to this extent. Now that the Bess family’s stock had almost fallen under the daily limit, it was utterly useless. If it were not for the Bess family’s solid foundation in the past, the company without cash flow would not be able to turn the tables in this lifetime. Morris returned to her room and angrily pushed everything on the table to the ground.
“Ah!” It was all that Sophia’s fault!
“Miss Morris, please calm down. I have already asked the butler to send food. Let’s eat first.” The servant knocked on the door and advised, hoping Morris’ anger would be reduced. After all, if Morris were angry, her life would not be easy.
When Morris heard this, the anger in her heart did not subside a little. What could these servants do? Did they not know that she was angry?
“Get out! All of you get out!” Morris roared.
The servants of the Bess family all hid on the other side of the wall. They were afraid that Morris would be angry at them again,
“Bang!”
Morris slammed the door loudly.
The servants looked at each other and eventually chose to leave.
Morris’ mother stood at the door. She knew that Morris was currently raging. Therefore, it was better for her not to provoke Morris further. Otherwise, she would get angry at her again when her anger subsided. It would be even more difficult to deal with when that time came.
“Who should give in to her? Does she still have the guts to be angry? Let her starve. No one is allowed to bring her food,” Morris’s father shouted up the stairs.
“Yes, Master,” the servants answered one by one and then went to work.
Morris sat on the bed and hammered the blanket fiercely. She felt very uncomfortable. She could not accept that her father would treat her like this because of that seductress. He even refused to have food brought to her. It was heartbreaking!
Who was she doing this for?! She had given too much for Norman. She had also paid too much. And now, she could not even contact him.
What should she do?!
Should she really apologize to that woman? Apologize to her, beg for her forgiveness, and let her go? Morris didn’t think she could do it, but could there be a better way?
Her mind was a mess, and she couldn’t make sense of anything.
What exactly should she do?.
