The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 208
Chapter 208: Morris’ Farce
“Let me in! You have no right to stop me. Doesn’t the NRTE building belong to the country? Why can’t you let me in?” The woman started to mock. However, after the farce that Norman caused last time, the guard became even more determined to stay at his post. However, he couldn’t do anything about the woman’s shouting.
“Lady, please lower your voice. You are not allowed to shout in the office.” The guard tried to chase her out, but she started shouting before he could even touch her.
“Molestation, molestation! Why are you touching me? I’m going to sue you for sexual harassment. What kind of people are being hired at NRTE?!” Morris was unwilling to let it go. To achieve her goal; she didn’t care about her reputation.
“Sophia, come out. You have to know that it’s useless to hide in there.” Morris suddenly shouted at the top of her voice.
The few security guards at the door were shocked. After hearing her words, they immediately reacted. They rushed forward and grabbed Morris by the arms.
“VVhat are you doing? Let go of me.” Morris struggled.
“Can you calm down? This is the NRTE building. If you continue to argue, we have the right to call the police,” the security guard advised.
Morris stopped struggling, but she glared at the security guards.
“Open the door, or I’ll teach you a lesson!” Morris threatened.
The security guard ignored her crazy actions and continued to drag her to the side accordingly.
“This is NRTE’s building. It’s not a place where you can behave atrociously.” The manager on duty in the lobby came over, hoping that he could scare her.
He was wearing a black suit and was two meters tall. Normal people would be intimidated when standing near him, but this woman wouldn’t fall for it.
“Behave atrociously? That woman is behaving atrociously over my head. I’m just asking for an explanation. You’re blatantly covering up for her!” Her tone was very harsh, and she did not intend to yield.
However, she did not know that society did not revolve around her scoundrel behavior. It was not that anyone who acted atrociously would occupy the moral high ground and that anyone could gain benefits.
The manager’s expression changed, but he did not want to argue with such people. He had to change the topic. “In that case, if you have anything to say, explain it to the police, or contact the media directly. I believe your influence is enough to arouse their interest, and we don’t have to waste time on you.”
Hearing the manager say this, Morris was stunned for a moment. It was as if she did not expect this to happen, so she began to shout again.
If her family found out, no matter how much she was spoiled, she would be responsible for damaging the reputation of her family’s company. So Morris instantly calmed down and kept a low profile.
At that moment, the elevator in the building opened with a ‘ding’. Her eyes lit up.
Raphael was wearing a dark brown suit today, which was rare. His hair was neatly arranged. He was handsome, and he exuded the scent of a mature man. He was more attractive than Norman.
He glanced at the security captain and the woman next to him, and then his gaze fell on Morris.
“Excuse me, Miss. What can I do for you?” He asked calmly as if he didn’t care who Morris was and couldn’t see her.
Raphael felt lucky. Fortunately, he had asked Sophia to go directly to the underground garage, and now she should be driving to her neighborhood in Olivia’s car.
“VVho are you? I’m here to see Sophia.” Morris saw Raphael. His well-tailored suit indicated that he was of a much higher rank than the people in the hall. However, his calmness made her very angry. It was as if he didn’t care about her.
“Oh, Sophia. I’m afraid you won’t be able to find her. She has already left NRTE.” Raphael seemed indifferent.
He had only stayed at NRTE for a few short months and had already gotten used to dealing with these things. He had always been good at dealing with people, which was the same in his band.
“VVhat! She left?” Morris turned angrily to the center of the lobby, her expression somewhat dejected. If what he said was true, then her making this commotion was like a punch hitting cotton. It was utterly useless.
When she wanted more certainty, Raphael had disappeared, and there was nothing in the lobby at the moment.
“Miss, you heard it. She has left her job. Please leave. Your current behavior has seriously affected the work of others,” the manager on duty said with a frown, obviously tired of Morris’ pestering.
“Humph…” Mosley snorted in a low voice. She could not stay here for the whole day. She had no choice but to walk toward the car at the door reluctantly.
Just as she was about to get into her car unwillingly, she turned around and saw a familiar figure. She gaped in surprise. It was Sophia. She was sitting in the front passenger seat of a white Ford sedan..
