The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 184
Chapter 184: Came Looking For An Answer
Norman immediately dialed Daisy’s number.
“Sorry, the subscriber you have dialed is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. Thank you for your cooperation. Goodbye.”
When he tried again, he was greeted by a busy tone.
Norman was discouraged. Daisy was avoiding his call or had already blocked him. It seemed that if he wanted to know who Daisy had slept with that night, he would have to rely on himself.
However, now was not the time. He needed to talk to Daisy first. Yet, now was not the right time to look for her. He knew that if he continued to badger her like this, Daisy would break up with him, and their relationship might be completely over.
Norman felt that he should wait for a while. After all, Daisy was his only choice for the time being. Although he knew he was not in love with Daisy, the more she resisted, the more Norman wanted to get close to her.
Thinking of this, Norman gave up the idea of chasing after Daisy. After all, he knew his temper. If Daisy provoked him, it might cause a more serious incident. When that time came, he would regret it.
So, he would give her a few more hours to calm down. After all, a woman’s temper came and went quickly. It was no big deal.
Norman parked the car by the road. He opened the window and let the whistling north wind blow into the car. The cold north wind blew on his face, and Norman felt his entire head become much clearer.
Since it had been four hours, there was no reason for Daisy to be angry. He just had to coax her. If she didn’t answer the phone, he could at least try a text message.
Norman immediately took out his phone and wrote a text message for Daisy. He sent it out. After the text message was sent successfully, Norman stuffed the phone into his pocket, started the car, and drove quickly to the apartment.
Daisy had just returned home when she threw herself into her room. Sitting on the sofa, Daisy’s face was full of anger.
As Norman was not worth a lot, Daisy did not want to pay any attention to him at the moment. What right did he have to criticize her? What right did he have to show up in the underground garage of NRTE as he pleased?
A large part of her anger was because she felt that the entire NRTE was on Sophia’s side. She could get whatever she wanted. Why did Alan have to leave and not this damned Sophia?
How could Sebastian and Sophia get closer and closer to each other? What did she deserve only to be Norman, the playboy’s sexual partner?
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Finally, she picked up the wine glass on the coffee table and took a few sips of red wine. Only then did she feel much better.
Not long after, the doorbell rang. Daisy’s expression changed. It was so late. Could Norman have come to look for her? Her expression was hideous.
She deliberately avoided his call or his text message. She wanted to give him a difficult time.
Daisy walked to the door and looked out through the peephole. She found that it was Norman standing at the door.
“Daisy, I know that you have always resented me. I know that my attitude these days has been very bad too. I have even treated you very badly. I apologize to you. I hope that you can forgive me. I like you too much. I hope that you can consider having me in your life. I like you! I love you. I love you more than my life. Do you understand?” Norman pleaded outside the door, half a truth and half a lie. He wanted to know why Daisy didn’t admit to sleeping with him. Did she not enjoy it? Or was there something else she was hiding?
Listening to Norman, Daisy was disdainful. She was still livid and felt conflicted. She didn’t want to accept Norman, but she also didn’t want to be alone under the influence of alcohol.
She considered what she should do.
No matter how much she hated Norman. She also did not want to be touched by others. She wanted to find a man to chat with her, relieve her loneliness, or find a man to fill the emptiness in her, and Norman was undoubtedly the best choice.
However, what did it say about her reputation if she easily agreed to his requests? Was she that easy?
“What are you arguing about? If you keep arguing, I’ll call the police,” the neighbor pushed the door open and shouted.
Daisy opened the door, pulled Norman in, and closed the door. She turned around and sat on the sofa in the living room.
“I think I’ve made myself Clear,” she said coldly.
“Daisy, can you bear to let me suffer? Do you know how sad I would be if I really lost you? After all, the story of us started a few months ago on that night, didn’t it?” Norman looked at Daisy as he said firmly.
Norman dangled the necklace in his hand he found in front of Daisy’s face.
Looking at the necklace, Norman’s heart was full of joy. Although there was only a glimmer of hope, he still had to do his best to fight for this glimmer of hope.
“What are you doing?” Daisy was shocked when she saw the necklace. This item was very important to her. She quickly grabbed the necklace..
