The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 183
Chapter 183: Not Sophia
“Don’t you think you need to explain?” Norman did not know why he was so angry when he saw Daisy with another man.
“There’s nothing between us. We’re just ordinary friends. You can ask him if you don’t believe me.” Daisy was helpless. Norman could not even figure out his issues. Did he forget that he had a fiancée? And he was pointing fingers at her? What right did he have?
“You’re just ordinary friends?” Norman’s eyes were bloodshot. He roared angrily, “Ordinary friends cuddling and making out with each other? Are ordinary friends going to dinner together? You lied to me. He must have taken a fancy to you.”
Hearing Norman’s rage, Daisy couldn’t help but laugh bitterly. She didn’t expect this man to be so thick-skinned. Yet, he dared say such words.
Yes, Alan was indeed interested in Daisy, but Daisy and Alan were just ordinary friends. There was no ambiguity between them. However, Norman did not know about this.
“There is no ambiguity between us. Don’t talk nonsense,” Daisy replied coldly. She did not want to continue this discussion with Norman.
“You’re still trying to deny it! It’s fine if you don’t admit it. I have a way to figure it out,” Norman roared.
“Norman, let me tell you. You don’t have to worry about me. I don’t want to have anything to do with you. Yes, I slept with you a few times. Do you think we are a couple now? What right do you think you have to control me?” Daisy was angry too. She didn’t want to talk to this man. She knew Norman wouldn’t believe her. Instead of wasting her breath, she would let him figure it out himself.
Moreover, Daisy felt that Norman was becoming less interesting.
Daisy gave Norman a fierce look and turned to leave. Even if Norman liked her, so what? She was no longer the passive Daisy from before. She could take the initiative too.
Seeing Daisy leave, Norman sighed and laughed self-deprecatingly. He now knew what regret was and how frustration felt. If he had known this would happen, he would never have fallen in love with Daisy. This damned woman, she had played him in her hands.
No matter how thick-skinned Norman was, his patience had a limit. Daisy had challenged his limits repeatedly.
He returned to the car and tried to calm himself down. However, Norman knew that his patience had run out, and he was no longer willing to endure such humiliation.
He looked down and saw a necklace.
Although this necklace was very ordinary, it was made of a material he had never seen before. If his guess was right, this necklace should be carved from a gemstone, right?
He picked up the necklace and examined it carefully. This necklace seemed familiar. He seemed to have seen this necklace somewhere before!
“This…” Norman’s gaze stopped on the necklace. This necklace was the necklace that Daisy had worn earlier!
He remembered this necklace. He had seen it before, but not recently. Where had he seen this before? He looked at it again.
Norman looked at the necklace, lost in thought. He seemed to recall something. His eyes lit up. He seemed to have realized something.
He had seen Daisy wearing it at Anita’s party. She wore a low-cut bright yellow dress that made the necklace stand out.
She was a seductress, a woman that every man would go crazy over. Her looks and figure were the focus of everyone’s attention.
She was a dazzling presence at that party. She had many glittery accessories on her.
The perfume on her was especially strong. She had a great figure. Her breasts were perky and full. Her waist was slim. Her hips sat just right. Norman’s gaze moved to her from time to time.
However, when Norman was among women, he gradually lost focus on her but was deeply impressed by the necklace.
Apart from the love bite he left, he vaguely remembered that the woman he slept with that night also wore a necklace that looked very similar.
In the throes of passion, he had ripped off the necklace so hard that it split in two, and thus in a way, he got the revenge Daisy deserved.
Sure enough, the necklace in his hand had signs of being ripped apart and then repaired.
Norman recalled that Daisy had once looked for him and asked him what he and his date had experienced that night. He had harshly criticized his date, and at that time, Daisy didn’t look too good after hearing what he said. Back then, he had thought that Daisy was defending Sophia.
Everything was connected! Norman seemed to have discovered a big secret!
That night, it was not Sophia who slept with him, but Daisy!
And she must have known! But why didn’t she admit it? Norman felt it necessary to ask Daisy again..
