The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 181
Chapter 181: Found The “Truth”
“Bro, I’m back.” Sophia’s voice was very soft. She was still embarrassed that she had tried to kiss Sebastian. She didn’t know if he had noticed.
The dim light in the office made the air feel tense between them. Sebastian’s throat bobbed. He had an impulse to hold her in his arms.
“Sebastian, I found it.” Raphael didn’t even knock on the door before he pushed it open and entered. He shouted, “Damn, what the hell! Don’t you know how to switch on the lights during the day?!”
The two people in the room didn’t know what to say. Sophia quickly stepped back and kept some distance from Sebastian.
Only then did Raphael see Sophia. “Oh, Sophia is here too. Am I disturbing you? Continue with it! Go ahead.”
As he said that, he was about to close the door and leave. It was just a little trick to tease them, but Raphael was never tired of it.
Sophia was a little embarrassed as she explained to Raphael, “Hey, Raphael! We didn’t… we didn’t do anything! Don’t misunderstand.”
“Hehe, you guys don’t have to be so nervous. I was just joking!” Raphael said with a smile.
“Alright, you guys talk. I’ll leave for now!” Sophia knew that Raphael must be in a hurry to discuss something important.
“Sophia, come along. It’s also related to you.” Raphael looked at Sebastian as if he was asking for his consent.
Sebastian sat up straight from the sofa and nodded to show his acquiescence.
“Okay!” Sophia nodded, and Raphael found a comfortable chair for her.
“Sophia, do you want to know how those videos on the internet disappeared without a trace?” Raphael asked impatiently, hoping that Sophia would be interested in his next piece of news.
“Did you help me?” Sophia asked without hesitation.
“I don’t have that kind of capability. Think again. Who else?” Raphael winked at Sophia. Even a fool could tell that he was referring to Sebastian.
“Bro, was it you?” Sophia turned to look at Sebastian. She couldn’t help but grip the armrest of the chair tightly. Her eyes were wide open, and she looked expectant.
She wanted to know if it was him. No wonder there was no news for a while. It was him.
Sebastian smiled and didn’t answer. He just nodded slightly to her as a tacit agreement.
Sophia’s heart skipped a beat. Sebastian had helped her so much behind her back. He could have told her, but if Raphael didn’t tell her, would he never have told her, just like that?
This surprised her and touched her a lot. However, she knew now was not the best time to express her gratitude. She needed to wait for a better opportunity to reveal her gratitude and all other emotions to him.
“Aren’t you curious about what I found out?”
“What did you find out?” Sophia was immediately energized.
“Sebastian got someone to find out the IP address of the person who shared the video. It’s someone inside NRTE. I’ve already found that person using my method,” Raphael’s tone was very heavy.
“VVho is it?” Sebastian asked. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and he seemed very serious about this matter.
“Sophia, I think you know him too.”
“Speak quickly, don’t keep me in suspense.” Sebastian was a little impatient.
“It’s an intern in Sophia’s batch. I took the abandoned phone and found someone to retrieve its data. I found the owner of the phone immediately. His name is Alan,” Raphael said in a single breath.
Alan? No way. She couldn’t believe it was Alan who did it just based on the few times Sophia had spent with him.
“Are you sure it was him?” Sebastian asked on Sophia’s behalf.
“Yes, I’m 99% sure it was him.” Raphael was very confident. He also trusted his judgment.
“Since you’re sure it was him, you know how to deal with it.” Sebastian looked at Raphael.
“I’ve already told him to end his internship early. It’s a pity that he was a good one. But his intentions aren’t, though.” When Raphael had people arrange for Alan to leave, he had secretly observed his reaction.
He did not expect Alan to accept it willingly. He only said his farewell to the other interns and nothing more. He was a person who dared to take responsibility. Raphael even wondered if he had found the wrong person. However, no matter which clue pointed to him, there was no mistake.
“Sophia, you don’t have to take it to heart. Just go back to work. There was a limited number of places for this internship, so he might have mistaken you as a potential opponent and thought that he could defeat you with some underhanded tricks. So, it’s good that he left.” Raphael saw Sophia’s expression of disbelief, so he tried to comfort her..
