The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 180
Chapter 180: Back To Work
Sebastian drove fast, with thousands of words in his mind. He didn’t know where to start, and he didn’t know how to vent. His mind was filled with the image of Sophia and Phillips hugging each other. It was so stuffy that he couldn’t breathe.
He hated himself for not confessing to Sophia earlier. He knew that Sophia would be alone with Phillips that day, so why didn’t he stop her?
“Damn it!” Sebastian hit the steering wheel hard. He wondered, ‘How did I become this b*stard? Is this me? I shouldn’t be like this!’
‘Damn it, damn it, damn it…’ Sebastian kept cursing in his heart. He felt like a trapped beast, crazily hitting his iron cage. However, his iron cage was solid. No matter how he struggled, it was useless.
‘I can’t accept this! I can’t!’ Sebastian shouted in his heart. He hated himself for not confessing to Sophia earlier. He regretted it deeply. He hated himself for deciding to confess to Sophia so late!
If he had done it earlier, would the ending have been different? The people around him had been hinting at him, but he did not take action. Now, he did not even have the chance to take action.
Was he too complacent? Did he think he could get the person he wanted as long as he asked for
That night, when he saw how well Sophia and Phillips got along, he should have said that the company had a project that required her to return immediately. They were even talking and laughing in front of him. Moreover, it had only been a few days, and they were already hugging each other. What was this?!
Sebastian felt down. He did not want others to see him in this sorry state, so after he parked the car, he hurriedly got out and walked to the office with a gloomy face.
When she returned to the company, Sophia first went straight to the twenty-third floor. She wanted to see Sebastian as soon as possible.
However, the twenty-third floor was exceptionally quiet. She did not even see Wright. Could they have gone to a meeting?
Sophia wanted to confirm again, so she went to Sebastian’s office and knocked on his door. However, there was no sound inside. Sophia was a little puzzled. Logically speaking, there should be at least some shuffling in Sebastian’s office. Why was it so silent?
Sophia hesitated for a moment. In the end, she mustered up the courage to open the door and walk in.
The office curtains were drawn shut, and the entire desk was filled with documents and files.
Next to the desk was a glass of water and a tab of sleeping pills, two of which were missing. Sebastian was lying on the sofa in front of the desk, fast asleep. Sebastian’s body was trembling with the rise and fall of his breath. His eyebrows were furrowed, and his face was full of sadness and unease.
Sophia walked to Sebastian’s sofa and leaned down to look at him. Sebastian had prominent features. His eyelashes were long and thick. His nose bridge was high and straight. His lips were thin and moderate. His skin was fair. His chin was beautiful.
Sebastian was a man who one could not help but want to kiss.
Sophia reached out and touched Sebastian’s face. She couldn’t help but stroke Sebastian’s eyebrows, eyes, nose, and lips with her finger. Eventually, she closed her eyes.
Sophia got closer. She could even feel her lips touching Sebastian’s. Sophia thought Sebastian’s lips were the softest thing in the world.
Sophia saw Sebastian’s eyebrows slightly furrowed in his sleep. She felt her heart beating faster and faster, like a deer.
She recalled what Anita had told her yesterday. She said that Sebastian had always liked her, so Sophia got closer again.
At that moment, an ear-piercing bell rang.
“Ring… ring…” Sophia felt that something was wrong. She had been too close to Sebastian, and their breaths blended. This made Sophia panic, and at the same time, her face was slightly red.
The ear-piercing bell awakened Sebastian. He opened his sleepy eyes and looked around in confusion.
He felt like he was in a dream. He had dreamed of Sophia just now. His heart was beating very fast, and his lips were touching Sophia’s lips. This dream was too real. Sebastian dared not open his eyes to see if it was his dream.
Sebastian opened his eyes and looked at Sophia carefully.
Sophia’s face was red, and she didn’t dare to look Sebastian in the eye.
“Sophia? You… You’re back?” When he saw the woman she loved in front of her, Sebastian completely forgot that she had hugged another man earlier in the afternoon. He was jealous for the longest time..
