The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 179
Chapter 179: Being Initiative Isn’t Wrong
Sebastian saw their bodies pressed together.
He felt jealous. Sophia and Phillips had a special relationship. No wonder she took all the time off to come back and help him.
Sebastian casually asked the dean of the faculty if Phillips’ project needed the help of a finance student. The answer was no. So, it was apparent that he was creating opportunities for them to get along.
Now that it seemed like this guy’s strategy was working, what was Sophia thinking? Did she like Phillips?
If that was the case, Phillips didn’t have to put in any effort at all. If that wasn’t the case, why would Sophia do everything she could to help him? Why did they hug each other for such a long time? Sebastian was puzzled by this.
He gripped the steering wheel, stepped on the accelerator, and left. He initially wanted to give her a surprise today and officiate their relationship, but he decided to forget about it.
“Sophia, thank you!” Phillips walked in the opposite direction and murmured.
Sophia looked at Phillips, leaving with mixed feelings. They could only be friends. If he had confessed earlier, would the ending be different? Had he confessed earlier, would she not have been pregnant with Norman’s child? Sophia subconsciously touched her belly.
Sophia knew that choosing Phillips was the best choice for her, both for herself and her baby.
Although Phillips’ family background was not as outstanding compared to Norman’s, his parents were university professors. His family was scholarly. She would never have to worry about her child’s education in the future.
Moreover, after interacting with Phillips, his gentleness made Sophia feel very comfortable. If the baby grew up in such a family environment, the baby would be very happy.
However, Sophia could not convince herself to marry Phillips.
Sophia was a conservative woman at heart, and this had not changed since she was young.
Since Sophia was a child, she dreamed of finding a man she loved and spending the rest of her life with him. Unfortunately, she never got what she wanted, and Sophia knew she couldn’t ask for anything more.
Phillips looked at the car that was far away, and he felt very complicated. If he remembered correctly, that car belonged to that guy.
He was Sophia’s boss and also the person in Sophia’s heart. Phillips guessed he was there to pick up Sophia, but did he drive away because he saw them hugging?
Phillips didn’t know what to do, so he could only pretend to turn a blind eye. After all, he wasn’t sure whether this was true or not. It was his speculation.
There was a willful voice in his heart telling him not to care. They should resolve their issues by themselves. If that man turned around and walked away without reason, he would probably not be suitable for Sophia.
Phillips decided not to say anything. Instead, he turned to look in the direction where Sophia had disappeared and smiled bitterly.
“Sophia, I hope you can understand my feelings for you. No matter what happens, I still love you.
Forever and ever.”
Phillips’ voice was very light, like the wind in the air.
Sophia slowly looked up at the car in the distance, confused. She knew that Phillips truly liked her, but her heart seemed to have been occupied by another person.
Sophia thought of the first time she met Sebastian. She was deeply attracted to this man.
He was so handsome, he was so smart, and he was always in time to deal with any problem meticulous. He also had all the characteristics that made people fall in love with him.
How can Sophia refuse such a man?
Sophia thought of how happy she was when she was with Sebastian. Those beautiful memories came to her mind.
She once felt she couldn’t be with Sebastian, but how could she forget him? Sophia thought she simply could not afford such feelings, let alone try to share them with others.
But yesterday, Sebastian held her hand in front of everyone. Why did he do it if he did not like her that way?
Anita had told her that Sebastian liked her more than once. Sophia was also more convinced that their feelings were mutual.
She had every reason to believe that they would end up well together. Fortunately, she could see him in the afternoon. Sophia couldn’t wait any longer.
A voice in Sophia’s heart told her not to wait any longer. Sophia had missed him enough these days. She wanted to see him immediately, and she even wanted to tell Sebastian her feelings right away. Nobody said that men should always take the initiative. There was nothing wrong with women taking the initiative!.
