The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 169
Chapter 169: Just Passing By
“I just happened to pass by.” Sebastian didn’t want to say anything to Raphael. He was about to turn around when he heard Olivia asking Sophia.
“Look at that car. It looks similar to Anita’s brother’s car,” Olivia said while secretly nudging Sophia.
Sophia followed Olivia’s gaze and saw the familiar black car. She remembered the scene in her dream, and her face immediately turned red.
“What’s wrong? Are you blushing?” Seeing Sophia’s reaction, Olivia asked with a smile.
“No… nothing! Don’t talk nonsense. Maybe I’ve slept too long.” Sophia lowered her head and said, not daring to look at Olivia. She was afraid that she would be seen through.
“What are you two doing? Hurry up and get in the car. I’m hungry. Let’s have dinner together. It’s been a long time since we’ve had dinner together!” Raphael urged from the side.
“Okay, but…” Olivia sounded a little awkward.
Only then did Raphael see a quiet boy standing behind Sophia. He was carrying Sophia’s backpack in his hand.
Raphael turned to look at Sebastian. The latter’s face instantly turned gloomy like the calm before the storm. He looked at Raphael with a murderous gaze.
“Phillips is a senior in the mathematics department. He just happened to need my help with something, so he came to us for a meal,” Sophia explained.
She called him ‘senior’ but called Sebastian’ bro’. There didn’t seem to be much difference between the two. Was she polite to everyone and never rejected anyone? Sebastian didn’t feel good.
“You guys go ahead. I’ll talk to Sophia tomorrow.” Phillips wasn’t used to social occasions with so many people, and the other guy didn’t seem to be particularly friendly to him. “Let’s go together, bro. It’s my treat today. Thank you for taking care of me all this time.” Sebastian was initially relieved, but now there were more people gathered.
“Alright, let’s go. I’m starving. Let’s go!” Olivia urged. She could not stand the awkwardness anymore.
“Let’s go!” Seeing Olivia’s reaction, Raphael breathed a sigh of relief. If he said anything more, Sebastian might just beat that boy up.
However, Raphael thought it was amusing to see Sebastian’s bad mood.
They walked into an Asian restaurant. Sebastian observed the surroundings. Did Sophia like Asian food?
“Look here! Let’s sit here!” Sophia noticed Sebastian acting strangely and suggested.
Sebastian nodded obediently.
Sebastian found an empty seat to Sophia’s right. When Sophia talked to him, she always moved to the right habitually. Sebastian wanted to sit down, but soon he saw a glass filled with water on Sophia’s right, and another glass was then handed to Sophia.
“The weather is hot today. You girls should drink some warm water. If you are not thirsty, you can warm your hands. Do you want some? I’ll go and get some for you. The waiters in this restaurant are very arrogant,” Phillips said as he looked at the remaining people.
Sebastian shook his head. “No need to trouble yourself. We’re not thirsty!”
Seeing that Sebastian did not drink and Raphael did not respond, Phillips picked up a glass and drank from it. The others did not say anything else when they saw that.
Two girls sat on one side, and three boys sat on the other. This arrangement was reasonable. Sophia and Olivia were best friends, so they naturally sat together. Sebastian couldn’t help but feel that this Phillips was quite good at making arrangements.
“I’m hungry. Go check out what you want to eat. I want that…” Sophia was in high spirits today.
“Jade tofu, right? Haha!” Phillips saw that Sophia couldn’t remember, so he filled in for her.
“Phillips, you still remember. I still crave the jade tofu the professor made. I wonder what it tastes like here.” Sophia and Phillips looked at each other and smiled while Sebastian looked at the two of them.
The meal went on smoothly. Although Sebastian held back his anger, he couldn’t say anything.
He hadn’t dealt with Norman yet, and now there was another guy. Sebastian couldn’t vent his anger, but he couldn’t swallow it either.
Sebastian was depressed. Sophia, on the other hand, seemed to be in a good mood. She was eating with relish.
After the meal, the four of them walked out of the restaurant. Sebastian kept a straight face and didn’t say a word.
“Phillips, thank you for the trouble today. Thank you for your hospitality. Next time, I’ll pay you a visit when I have the chance!” Olivia said to Phillips. Before leaving, Phillips had quietly footed the bill and said that this was some Asian custom.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s nothing. Do you have anything you need? If you do, just tell me. No matter what it is, I’ll try my best to help you!” Phillips said. He was also doing it out of kindness.
“Thank you, Phillips. See you tomorrow.” Sophia smiled..
