Like that day, when Sophia stood against the light, Phillips saw that her eyes had not changed and were as graceful as ever. Phillips had always known that Sophia was beautiful, but today she looked even more beautiful, especially with the dimples on her cheeks, which made her look cute.

Phillips couldn’t help but stand up. He felt as if the world stopped spinning and there was just him and Sophia. Phillips’s Adam apple bobbed, and he opened his mouth to say something, but no words came. He just stared at her and couldn’t look away.

It was a relief to Sophia to be on campus, considering she hadn’t been back in a month. Without the high-intensity work at NRTE, she thought the freedom and taste of youth in campus were more memorable than being in the working world.

The campus was full of young couples holding hands and a few others arguing, something Sophia found desirable. Absence makes the heart grow fonder indeed.

“Phillips, what’s the matter? Why aren’t you talking?” Sophia looked at him quizzically. He seemed to be in better spirits since the last time they met. Something had changed, perhaps his hair?

Phillips’ hair, Sophia remembered, was not so long before, and it had made him look more elegant. He had also changed the way he dressed. But it was still kind of silly. Nevertheless, Sophia thought it was kind of cute.

“No… no… It’s been a long time, Sophia,” Phillips said, scratching his head.

Phillips chose a campus bar, which was easy to get to and quiet. Unfortunately, some troublemakers patronized this bar.

Phillips was about to say tell Sophia why he asked her here, but there were constant whispers from around them.

“Look who’s back on campus.”

“Isn’t she the girl who got pregnant and didn’t even know?”

“Well, if it isn’t Sophia! What’s she doing back here? I heard she got into NRTE. It’s so busy there, so how is she back here? Has she been fired…?”

“I didn’t even notice how big she was until you told me. I don’t know what she is thinking. It was a one night stand, and she got pregnant. Has she no shame? Does she want to commemorate the night she and Norman had by giving birth to their child? How shameless! Hahaha!”

It started out as whispers, but then the whispers got increasingly brazen.

Phillips looked at her awkwardly, wondering if he should bring her away from there, but he didn’t know how.

Sophia, however, smiled and did not listen to the girls’ chatter. Olivia, on one side, got angry and was unable to continue listening to the girls.

Olivia and Sophia didn’t attend the same university. So, she didn’t know those b*tches at Sophia’s university were always gossiping about her best friend! Olivia found the tone they used very unacceptable.

“Sophia!” Olivia said indignantly, but Sophia grabbed her hand and told her not to do anything. She tried to stand up, but Sophia pulled her down again and got up instead.

‘IStop it! She’s coming toward us.” One of the girls tugged at the other, who spoke more harshly. She had heard how Sophia treated the boys who had taunted her. It was best that they stayed out of trouble before they graduated.

‘[What are you afraid of? You think she’s the same old Sophia. Isn’t she back with her tail between her legs now?” The girl with the high-pitched voice seemed to assume that NRTE had fired Sophia.

‘[She’s already pregnant but is hooking up with guys again. That’s Sophia for you. It looks like Norman couldn’t satisfy her lust after all,” she said in a shrill, scornful voice.

Sophia stopped at their table and looked at the girls who were talking.

The girls did not expect her to stop at their table and not continue to move forward. Suddenly, they were afraid.

They didn’t know why Sophia had suddenly stopped at their table.

“Sophia, is there a problem?” Phillips asked when she stopped at the girls’ table.
