The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 155
Chapter 155: That Is Sophia’s
The door was pushed open. Sophia was stunned when she saw Olivia and Raphael walking into the room.
Olivia didn’t say anything and quickly looked at the report.
“Ahhh, it’s a boy. I have a godson!” Olivia shouted happily.
“Shh, this is a hospital. Keep your voice down, or people will think something is wrong with us,” Sophia reminded.
“Okay, okay, okay! I’ll keep my voice down. I’ll keep my voice down. I have a godson! I have a godson!” Even though she lowered her voice, she could not hide the excitement.
Sophia shook her head helplessly.
“Oh right, are you okay? Didn’t Norman not want to take responsibility before? Why is he still bothering you?” Olivia suddenly recalled what Raphael had told her during dinner and asked worriedly.
“It’s nothing. Don’t worry. It’s really nothing this time.” Sophia comforted her. “And Raphael has already helped me out.”
“That’s good. Good to know!” Olivia patted Raphael’s chest as a form of satisfaction toward Raphael for protecting her best friend. “I was worried that something would happen to you, but now it seems that you’re really fine. I’m relieved!”
“Ah, you’re too paranoid. I’m really fine. You don’t have to worry about me. I have to go to work in the afternoon.” Sophia was still thinking about the report.
Olivia’s eyes widened, and she exclaimed, “Work? Did I hear wrong? What work? I don’t care. You have a good rest, at least for this afternoon. I’m not going anywhere, I’m just here to watch you!”
“Look at you, how pale you are. What work? Rest! It’s only been a few days, and you’ve already been to the hospital twice. You’re not allowed to go to work,” Olivia continued, her hands tightly wrapped around Sophia’s wrist.
“Oh my, I was so bored this morning I almost turned into a wood block!” Sophia looked at her speechlessly. “Look at you now. What’s the difference between you and my mother? I’m not sick, you don’t have to stare at me all day!”
“Of course! Anyway, stay here for now. You’re not allowed to go anywhere! I heard about it. It was the same thing as the last time. You were bullied by that b*stard quite badly. How can I allow such a thing to happen?”
“Well, whatever you say. But you don’t have to monitor me every day, right?” Sophia said as she knew that she could not persuade Olivia.
“You little brat. Look at you. You don’t even pay attention to what you say. Is this monitoring? This is me being caring for you!” Olivia looked indignant.
“Besides, look at how weak your body is. Do you still dare to work? What if you faint again? Do you want to come here again?”
“The more you exaggerate, the less you make sense. I haven’t fainted before!” Sophia smiled in dissatisfaction. “Alright, alright, alright. I won’t go to work in the afternoon, alright!”
“Promise me?” Olivia asked happily.
“I promise,” Sophia replied helplessly.
“Hehe, okay, this is more like the Sophia I know.”
‘ there was nothing she could do.
“By the way, why are you here?”
Didn’t Raphael say that he would have a meal with Olivia? Sophia only came to the hospital for a check-up. She was also brought here by Sebastian at the last minute. How did Olivia and the others know about it?
“We came as soon as we heard that you were in the hospital.”
So, it had to be Sebastian.
Olivia saw the confusion in Sophia’s eyes. She glanced at Sebastian, then turned and winked at her best friend.
Raphael’s stomach growled in hunger. “When Olivia heard that you were in the hospital, we didn’t even have a chance to eat before she immediately rushed over. I haven’t even touched the food yet!”
Olivia hit Raphael, and the latter frowned in pain.
Raphael looked at Sebastian as if saying, ‘Look, your uncle sacrificed so much for you.’
“Speaking of which, I’m a little hungry. Why don’t we go out and have some food together? It’s my treat. After we finish eating, I promise I’ll come back and not go to work. Fair?” Sophia stopped Olivia from continuing.
“Mr. CEO, here’s your lunch.” The person came in with a small cart. As soon as the cart entered the house, the fragrance made Olivia and Raphael drool.
“Wow! This is too much. As expected of the CEO of NRTE! Babe, this looks even better than our lunch.” Olivia gulped as she praised.
“Yes, yes! It’s great! This cooking skill is extraordinary.” Raphael echoed. “This is all thanks to Sophia. ”
Before everything was served, Raphael had already grabbed a fork impatiently and reached for a piece of crispy white morsel with a few patches of dark green foam on it.
“Hey! That’s Sophia’s favorite.” Sebastian hit Raphael hard in a moment of desperation.
Everyone in the room looked at him.
“There are so many of them! Can’t I even have one…” Raphael muttered, feeling wronged..
