The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 133
Chapter 133: Am I A Chauffeur?
“Sophia, Olivia drove back to the university on her own. Come, I’ll send you to the office.” Seeing Sophia’s hesitation, Raphael added, “Olivia told me to do this before she left. Since we’re both working at NRTE, I have to take good care of you. Don’t make things difficult for me.”
“Okay, thank you, Raphael.”
Hearing Raphael’s explanation, Sophia smiled and agreed.
“You’re welcome. Olivia’s good friend is my good friend. Let’s get into the car.” Raphael smiled and said, “I’ll open the door for you. You can slowly get in.”
Sophia did not expect Raphael to drive such a car to work.
Looking at the car’s body, Sophia was surprised that Raphael would drive such a low-key car. Low-key was an understatement. The car looked a little broken, and even a few old-looking dents on the body.
Sophia was fine, but she saw that there was not much space in the passenger seat. She could not even straighten her feet properly, so the car was not very friendly to pregnant women.
However, Raphael had already opened the door for her. She could not be too rude, so she could only obediently get into the car and close the door. After Raphael closed the door, opened the driver’s door, and got into the car.
“Sophia, this car is a little crowded. The passenger seat can not be moved. But fortunately, there are no other major problems. You will be a little tired on the road,” Raphael said apologetically.
“It’s okay. It’s not that far. It doesn’t matter,” Sophia said.
“Shall we?” Raphael asked.
“Yes!” Sophia nodded.
Raphael turned the key, and the engine sounded a little off.
“Huh? What’s going on? It was fine on Friday,” he said, a little embarrassed. He turned to look at Sophia in the passenger seat. “A kid in our band borrowed my old car to pick up girls. His car is a manual drive, so I have a little trouble using it.”
“Bang, bang, bang.” Sebastian’s face appeared by the window of the driver’s seat. The window slowly slid down, and he seemed to be getting more and more impatient.
“Let her ride in my car,” he said in an unnegotiable tone.
“Huh? Is that okay?” Raphael was a little troubled. Sebastian could understand why Raphael was troubled. After all, Sophia was Olivia’s good friend. After seeing them kiss each other goodbye this morning, if he did not send Sophia safely to the office… Olivia might blame him.
“Why not? It depends on how familiar you are with this car. If anything happens to it, will you be able to explain yourself? Why don’t you give her to me, and I will drive her there safely?”
“Oh, okay,” Rafael said helplessly. Sebastian did make sense. He looked at Sophia, a little ashamed as if he was asking for her opinion.
“It’s okay, Raphael.” Sophia smiled lightly. “It just so happens that Sebastian and I are working on the same floor, so it’s more convenient. Don’t worry.”
Hearing Sophia’s assurance, Raphael felt a little relieved.
Sebastian had already gone around to Sophia’s door and helped her open the car door.
“Drive safe!”
“Stop nagging, bye!” Sebastian was a little impatient.
Sophia hesitated for a while, opened the back seat door, and got in.
“I say, do you think I’m a chauffeur?”
“No… No…”
Sebastian hated the sense of distance that Sophia put between them every time. “Sit in the front seat.” He looked at Sophia in the back seat through the mirror.
“Okay…” Sophia didn’t know what he cared about.
Sebastian drove fast, but it was also very stable. After forty minutes, Sophia didn’t know what to say, so she decided to close her eyes to rest.
“Raphael’s front seat is so crowded. Yet, you sat in the front seat. But when you got into my car, you took the back seat with limited space. And you were saying that you aren’t avoiding me?”
Sebastian glanced at Sophia from the corner of his eyes. Her eyelashes fluttered, but she didn’t answer.
“So, you treat Raphael as a friend, but I’m not? I’m just your good friend’s brother, your boss, your supervisor?”
“You also sat in the passenger seat of that kid’s car.”
That kid? Sophia racked her brain before realizing that he was talking about Norman. Why wasn’t he over it yet? Did she have to give him an explanation? Was it really necessary? After all, there was nothing between her and Norman. And between her and Sebastian, he had listed out all their relationships earlier.
Sebastian didn’t know why he said this. It was a matter in the past, and the misunderstanding had long been cleared up. But when he brought it up in front of Sophia, he felt much more relaxed.
He was saying that to Sophia, but she did not respond. It sounded like he was talking to himself.
Sophia continued to remain silent. She did not know how she should react.
“If you don’t want to answer, then forget it,” Sebastian said calmly. Then, he saw Sophia frowning slightly..
