The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 130
Chapter 130: The Right Amount Of Comfort
The helicopter was very fast. Olivia felt that the scenery before her changed in an instant. The sound of the wind whistled in her ears, and the turbulence brought by the helicopter below her.
Olivia felt a little dizzy. She subconsciously wanted to grab the handrail, but Raphael noticed that despite being focused on the side.
He quickly grasped her hand. The warmth from his hand calmed her down. However, this made her heart beat even faster. ‘Ba-dum, ba-dum’ went the heart in her chest.
Olivia looked at Raphael’s side profile and could not help but exclaim inwardly. This man looked really good when he was serious!
This experience might become the most precious memory in their future lives. Although she did not know how their relationship would develop in the future, Olivia knew that she could not extricate herself from it.
Raphael smiled a little, but it was a lie to say he was not anxious. He knew that he could not indulge in love right now. After all, flying a helicopter in a city was a risk. He could not lose his focus in the moment of greed. He needed to calm down. He had to find the best way to land accurately and safely.
Raphael took a deep breath and tried his best to remain calm. No matter what, he could not let anything happen to Olivia.
The helicopter sped along and arrived at its destination in about fifteen minutes.
After Raphael landed the helicopter on a nearby lawn, he helped Olivia down from the helicopter. Olivia followed beside him and watched as Raphael walked toward the cars.
Raphael walked ahead and knocked on one of the cars’ windows.
“Raphael, you’re here.” The car door opened, revealing a middle-aged man’s slightly aged but determined face. It was the famous domestic collector, Eli, who had invited Raphael to the art exhibition.
“I’m late. You must have been waiting for a long time,” Raphael replied politely.
“It’s what I gotta do! I’m not blaming you. You’re my lucky star. You don’t know how many of the niche paintings you recommended to me have been auctioned off!” He wrote a number ‘5’ in the air, and the latter smiled at him.
Olivia did not know what the number ‘5’ represented, but Eli looked very satisfied.
“I’ll take you there,” the man said with a smile and then led Raphael inside.
This time, Olivia was free to observe the surroundings. The helicopter was parked in an empty area. There was only a wide and straight road other than the trees and grass.
The road was very long. There were tall and dense trees on both sides. In the middle of the road was a classic three-story building. Outside the main entrance of the building was a massive sign with the address of the art exhibition.
Olivia and Raphael came to the venue accompanied by Eli. There, she saw many familiar faces. Some of them were famous people she had seen in other art exhibitions before. There were also painters and renowned artists that she did not know. She saw some of the new figures in the domestic art scene, but she could not recognize them at a glance. However, the temperament of these famous artists was extraordinary, so they caught people’s attention immediately.
“You guys take a look first. Let me leave you to it.” Raphael nodded at Eli, and Eli tactfully walked away.
As soon as Raphael entered the hall, he attracted the attention of many people. Many people came over to greet him, and some people whispered in a discussion.
“Why do they all seem to know you?” Olivia was very puzzled. From Raphael’s tone yesterday, she had heard that he had only heard about this art exhibition from a friend.
“Oh, perhaps they have taken a fancy to my looks. Look at these artists. None of them are good-looking. Haha!” Raphael casually lied and did not reveal his identity to Olivia. After all, this secret had not been made public yet. If he told her now, she would probably make a big fuss.
This matter would have to wait until the art exhibition was over. He had to choose a better time.
“You really are right!” Olivia muttered softly. Raphael did not hear what she said clearly.
The paintings quickly attracted Olivia’s attention. Her gaze lingered on the easel for a long time. The emotions bursting out of these paintings, both jumping and restraining, shocked her deeply. It gave her a sense of déjå vu.
“Oh! Raphael, I’m so happy that we can stand here together. This place seems to be specially tailored for you. Everything looks casual and comfortable at the same time, just like you. Even… these paintings all look like you.”
Raphael was stunned. He did not expect Olivia’s observation to be so accurate. He had always appeared as an art investment consultant, but it was very rare. The price of a few paintings that he had helped Eli collect had increased by a thousandfold, gaining him some ‘small fame’.
However, no one knew that ‘the Slumbering Anfauer’ was his work. Right now, he liked Olivia even more..
