The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 120
Chapter 120: Like Her, Like Her Not
“Sophia, ignore him. It’s the weekend. He’s not your boss, so he has no right to question you. Let’s continue our afternoon tea.” As she spoke, Anita quickly dragged Sophia away from this mess.
After Anita and Sophia escaped, Sebastian went downstairs and sat on the sofa in the living room. Only Sebastian was left in the huge living room.
He took out the remaining half bottle of whiskey from last night and filled the square glass half-full.
Looking at Sophia on the balcony outside the window, Sebastian was deep in thought. Did he like this woman? No, absolutely not! He just had an interest in her. This was not liking someone. It was an interest in a challenge.
He thought of Sophia’s belly. If they had a future, it meant that he was responsible for the child. Did that mean that he was going to marry her?
He had never thought about marriage or who he was going to fall in love with, so he didn’t think much about marriage or the future, so he didn’t think of marriage as a responsibility. But now it seemed that he had taken an interest in Sophia, but he could not let this feeling become a burden, a shackle.
Sebastian did not understand why his thoughts floated in this direction. “Marriage?” He snorted. He clearly did not like her.
The girl on the balcony was not only beautiful but also had a pair of big clear eyes.
She looked so pure, beautiful, and ethereal. If he was not her immediate superior, he wanted to care for this girl openly. Unfortunately, she was pregnant with the man’s child now.
Sebastian picked up his glass and took a big gulp. He slumped back on the sofa. There was a
group photo on the coffee table some time ago.
There were two people in the photo. One was Anita, and the other was Sophia. The two in the photo looked very intimate. One was normally smiling, and the other was smiling contentedly.
He brought the photo frame closer to himself. The thin dust on the coffee table reminded him that this photo album had been here long. Yet, he had never noticed it before.
Sebastian looked at the photo and could not help but fall into deep thought.
“I say, this is too obvious!” It was always Raphael who teased the others. Today, the roles were reversed.
Raphael was very attentive to Olivia.
“Olivia, try this roasted chicken wing. It tastes very good!”
Olivia was used to Raphael’s flattery, but she still shook her head. “No, thank you. I don’t eat chicken wings.”
“Oh, what a coincidence. I don’t like chicken wings either. Look at how compatible we are.” As he spoke, Raphael hid the half-eaten chicken wings behind his back.
“You don’t eat chicken wings? We girls didn’t eat them either. So, where did the chicken wings go? Did a dog eat them?” Anita teased as she ran behind Raphael and snatched the chicken wings from his hands.
“You! You should at least show respect to your uncle in front of outsiders!” It was hard to imagine that Raphael would be embarrassed.
“Who are you calling outsiders? Is Sophia an outsider, or is Olivia one?”
“No, no, I didn’t mean that.” His gift of the gab suddenly disappeared. “I… I I am an outsider, alright! Gosh.”
Olivia and Sophia could not help but laugh when they saw that. This pair of uncle and niece were really funny.
“Oh right, what did you guys talk about in there? Did Sebastian bully Sophia?” Anita asked.
“Ah, your brother. I think he likes her a lot.’
“Really? Then, his way of expressing himself is really unique!” Anita’s eyes widened. “Sophia, you don’t have to pay attention to him.”
“It’s okay. I provoked him first. It has nothing to do with him.”
“Sophia, don’t be too kind.” Anita looked at her worriedly. “Forget it, let’s not talk about him. Hey, Raphael, if you don’t eat the chicken wings, I will!”
Raphael wanted to cry, but he had no tears. The girls burst into laughter again. The laughter made Sebastian look in their direction again.
Raphael had joined the girls’ camp. He was everywhere, and Sebastian was actually a little envious of him.
He looked at Raphael and Olivia. Looking at the two playing and flirting, he suddenly felt that compared to spending time running the company every day, these days were more fulfilling and happy.
He and Raphael had completely opposite personalities. If he was like Raphael, would his relationship with Sophia not be so tense?.
