The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 106
Chapter 106: Let The Hand Go
There was lust burning in this man’s eyes. This was something that she had never seen in anyone’s eyes at NRTE. Daisy even liked the pleasure of being noticed.
Kevin looked at Daisy and smiled. “I only want to invite you to have a drink. I have no other intentions. I’m Kevin Carl!”
Hearing this name, Daisy’s heart skipped a beat. She suddenly remembered that this name was very well-known to her. Almost all of the people who went to the club before knew Kevin. He was a regular at the club.
Daisy was not stupid. She knew that since Kevin dared to stop her from leaving, he must have a backup. Besides, it was only a drink, nothing more.
“Okay, I’ll go with you!” Daisy lowered her head and walked to the side of the car.
Kevin smiled. He opened the car door and got into the driver’s seat.
“Sit tight,” he said to Daisy, then started the engine and drove the car.
Daisy looked at the scenery flitting past outside the window. Although she was forced to get into the car, it was still a good thing to be able to get some fresh air.
Her mood suddenly improved. When she was in a good mood, her imagination would not run wild.
Kevin drove. When he saw that Daisy was in a good mood, he could not help but smile. This girl looked quite interesting. He liked her.
Soon, they stopped at the entrance of Club Talos.
Indeed, it was just a drink. Daisy gradually let down her guard against Kevin.
“Welcome! Please show me your membership card,” the waiter asked with a smile.
“I’m Kevin Carl!” the man said his name, and the other party respectfully gestured him in.
Kevin led Daisy into the hall.
As soon as they entered Club Talos’ door, a faint smell of tobacco assailed Daisy’s nostrils. This unique smell made Daisy feel very familiar. She realized that ever since she started working at NRTE, she hadn’t had a nightlife for a long time.
She could not help but look around to see if there were any familiar figures here.
“Why? What are you looking for?” Kevin asked deliberately.
Daisy looked up at him. “Nothing.”
“Okay.” He nodded thoughtfully and then led Daisy to a booth.
“This is my private booth. Take a rest. I’ll get someone to send you some fruit.” He pushed the door open and shouted out the door, “Jerry!”
“Coming.” A man wearing a white shirt and gold-rimmed glasses walked in.
He was the boss of Club Talos, Jerry Carl.
“I’ll be leaving for a while. You take care of her and sit here. Remember, don’t neglect her! Understand?” Kevin instructed.
Jerry glanced at Daisy. When he saw Daisy, his eyes sparkled, but he still nodded calmly. “Got it.
Definitely!”
Kevin nodded at Jerry as if giving him a hint. Then, he turned and walked toward the stairs.
Seeing Kevin leave, Jerry looked at Daisy and introduced himself, “Hello, I’m the boss here. Just call me Jerry.”
“Just call me Daisy,” Daisy replied.
Jerry smiled. “Nice to meet you, Miss Daisy. It’s your first at Club Talos, right? I hope you’ll enjoy it here.”
After saying that, he stretched his hand and made a ‘please’ gesture. He picked up the wine glass that the waiter had just brought over and was about to drink with Daisy.
Daisy knew the club’s rules, and it was not right to disrespect him. After all, it was Friday night, so she raised her glass and took a big gulp.
When the alcohol slid down her throat to her stomach, she did not notice anything wrong.
Jerry saw that Kevin had returned and said, “Right, I won’t disturb your fun. I still have to entertain the guests. Please excuse me.” Then, he walked away.
Daisy looked at Jerry walking away and shook her head. She was a little puzzled. Kevin didn’t seem to be a bad person, but why did she feel he had bad intentions?
However, she was especially annoyed today. The wine in the glass quickly ran dry. Maybe it was because it was too late; Daisy felt sleepy.
“You said it’s only a drink. I’ve already finished two glasses. Can I go now?” Daisy put down the glass and looked at Kevin.
“Of course. Please go ahead,” Kevin said with a smile.
Daisy stood up and was about to walk out, but she soon felt that the alcohol had gotten to her, so she sat down on the sofa.
Kevin blinked at Daisy, his face full of ambiguity.
“What do you want?” Daisy asked nervously.
“Nothing. I only want to take care of you,” Kevin said with a smile. “Why are you afraid?”
Daisy didn’t know how to defend herself. Moreover, the alcohol had made her not so clear-headed.
Kevin’s hand started not to behave.
“Move your hand away!” Daisy was very determined, but she didn’t have enough confidence.
Although she had attended many parties in the past and fooled around with boys in and outside of school, she was not in the mood today, especially with Kevin.
He pretended not to hear her.
Daisy did not know what to do. Thinking of all the grievances she had suffered today, she almost cried.
“Hey, she said to take your hand away!” A drunk voice warned..
