The Ice-Cold Executive Gets A Wife Novel - Chapter 101
Chapter 101: Do You Want Money?
Suddenly, there seemed to be some distance between Sebastian and Sophia.
There was Daisy between them.
Sebastian’s expression grew increasingly ugly since Sophia got into Norman’s car.
Daisy noticed that, too.
Did Sebastian like Sophia?
How could it be? She was the belle of Rotary University. There was no man she couldn’t have.
But Sebastian seemed to be different from other men. At least the last time they met, Sebastian was indifferent to her, even a little cold.
Daisy had always been very sure of herself when it came to men. However, Sebastian, a man who was the complete package she wanted, was indifferent to her.
This aroused her desire to win him.
Daisy didn’t think that Sophia was very attractive. When she was in the university, she was the center of attention no matter where she went. Though Sophia was a beautiful woman herself, the guys would often go for Daisy as long as Daisy was next to her.
Moreover, she was pregnant now, and she didn’t even put on makeup when she went to work.
Although her skin was okay, she looked very dull and lifeless.
Sophia? Who was she to compete with her?
If anyone could get Sebastian, Daisy thought it wouldn’t be Sophia.
She only slept with Sebastian one night and got pregnant with his child.
She was the top student in the faculty but didn’t even know who the father of her child was. What kind of a ‘top student’ was that?
So Daisy had always thought that Sebastian would definitely like her. It was only a matter of time, and she had plenty of time.
She had occasionally seen Sebastian treat others coldly, which meant she still had the chance. If she showed a little more charm, she might have an opportunity to get Sebastian.
But whether this opportunity existed was what Daisy needed to worry about most right now.
However, sometimes opportunities always come by unexpectedly.
A few hours ago, Daisy finally finished the report that Rosa had given her. When she finished it, she found that she was the only one left in the office.
Damn the bodyguard, damn Rosa! She had recently returned to her usual attitude toward Daisy. ‘Damn Rosa! She must have forgotten how the CEO’s assistant had shown me around!’ When the time came, Rosa would know that she was not to be trifled with.
But when Daisy walked out of the lobby and looked down at her phone to see which bar she could go to for a night of relaxation, someone brushed past her and headed straight for the elevator. He seemed to be holding a cup of coffee in his hand.
It was Sebastian. He hadn’t left yet!
Daisy looked up at the sparsely lit building. NRTE was empty.
This would be a great opportunity to speak to Sebastian alone. It would be best to deepen his impression of her.
However, she couldn’t just go to the twenty-third floor with Sebastian around. Daisy subconsciously tightened her grip around her bag, in which her access card rested.
She couldn’t be too proactive either. If she caught Sebastian’s attention, then everything would be ruined.
It was best to pretend to meet him by chance.
When she saw Sebastian behind Sophia with a smile in his eyes, her heart suddenly sank. Besides jealousy, she also hated him.
Daisy’s heart skipped a beat when she saw Sebastian’s suit on Sophia.
The scene made Daisy wonder if Sebastian liked Sophia.
But these were just Daisy’s assumptions. She had no evidence. Perhaps Sebastian was taking care of Anita’s pregnant roommate?
Yes, yes, that must be it.
She pretended not to see Sophia and said hello only to Sebastian. She knew that there was no reason for Sophia not to like a man like Sebastian. After all, they worked in close proximity.
Sebastian would not want others to know their secret. Daisy was very sure of this. Just then, she noticed Sebastian secretly looking at Sophia.
The misunderstanding between them had to be as big as possible. It was best to let Sophia know that Sebastian was hers, and it was best to dissuade her from getting close to Sebastian. However, seeing Sebastian hesitate and chase after her, Daisy felt even more upset.
She was not confident. Was she that bad?
After making sure that Sophia was far away, Sebastian turned around. He frowned and snorted, “What do you want?”
Sebastian didn’t want to believe that he had anything to do with this woman. Although she knew all the details of that night, he didn’t want to admit that the person was Daisy.
What could he and Daisy have to talk about? Could this woman be haunting him for money?
Looking at Daisy, Sebastian huffed disdainfully, then turned around and walked to his car.
“I don’t mean anything. I just finished working overtime today and happened to run into you…” Daisy caught up with Sebastian and said the last word very softly.
Sebastian stopped and turned to look at her.
“Do you want money from me?”
