The Great Wild God - Chapter 1
Chapter 1 Descended Into The Wilderness
The milky white mist rolled between heaven and earth, and the endless Python Fang Ridge stretched across the vast wilderness, concealing itself like a green dragon.
In the midst of the boundless mist, a youth, carrying a small medicine basket made of vines, grabbed the vines hanging from the cliff stones with his hands, searched for a gap in the jagged and sharp rocks, and tried his best to climb towards the ridge.
The youth was dressed in beast robes, and his waist was tied tightly with straw ropes. Under his messy hair, there was a delicate face. He looked thin and weak, but his exposed arm was muscular. There were several bloody cuts on it that had been cut by tree vines and rocky mountains.
He climbed out of the stronghold before dawn and was exhausted halfway up the mountain. The youth found a stone shelter that could shelter from the wind. Looking inside, it did not look like a nest of ferocious birds and beasts. He removed the medicine basket from his back and went in to rest.
Halfway up the mountain, the moisture was extra heavy, dew oozed out from all four walls of the stone cave, and the ground was wet and slippery. The youth found a stone slab and sat down under his butt. He reached into the medicine basket and picked up a piece of beast meat that had just been roasted last night from the medicinal herbs he picked along the way. He tore off a small piece and ate it.
After eating the beast meat, the youth wiped his hand twice on the beast robe and took out a scroll of silk from his bosom.
There weren’t many twenty pages of silk, and after countless people’s hands, the edges and corners were ruined. The handwriting and patterns on the silk book became blurry, but the youth carefully held them in his hands and read them with great interest.
“Mount Tu, the head of the Western Wilderness Ridges. The cliffs are ten thousand feet tall, and the valleys are filled with pine trees, vines, and rocks. There are beasts that are like sheep and ponytails, and their fat can heal cracks …”
When the thin twenty-odd pages of silk book first arrived in Chen Xun’s hand, the words “Western Wilderness” were still vaguely written on the cover. Afterwards, the handwriting had been polished to a faint gray-white mark.
Chen Xun didn’t know how many times he had read the silk manuscript. Almost every word and every painting was memorized in his heart. However, when he had the slightest leisure, he couldn’t help but flip through the silk manuscript, wanting to discover more secrets of this world.
However, these twenty-odd pages of silk manuscripts had less than three to four thousand words in total, and how many secrets could Chen Xun discover from them?
Outside the stone cave, the endless Python Fang Ridge stretched for eight to nine hundred kilometers, and it was only a branch of the northern ridge of Mount Tu.
The main Tu Mountain Range of the Western Desolate Desolate Region stretched for tens of thousands of kilometers. However, this Tu Mountain Range that stretched for tens of thousands of kilometers was only a corner of the Western Desolate Region, and the Western Desolate Region that stretched for tens of thousands of kilometers was only one of the nine regions of the Endless Cloud Desolate Continent …
Chen Xun, who had been trapped in Python Fang Ridge for more than three years, couldn’t imagine just how vast this world was.
The Western Wilderness was filled with ferocious birds and beasts, and it was only slightly safer near the tribe.
For more than three years, Chen Xun hadn’t been able to walk a hundred miles around, much less explore how vast the world outside was.
Chen Xun took a long breath and stood up. He walked to the edge of the stone cave and looked at the rolling sea of mist in the distance. He looked at the sea of mist as if it was faintly visible. It was like a mountain ridge. It was like a sharp python’s fangs winding and endless.
Chen Xun’s mood was slightly broadened by the excitement of the clouds. He bent down and carried the medicine basket, wanting to continue on his way.
Although this place was only twenty to thirty kilometers away from the village at the foot of the mountain, no one could have predicted the dangers that would ensue after dark. If he couldn’t climb up the mountain in time for noon, Chen Xun could only leave the mountain ahead of schedule.
Chen Xun tied the straw rope hanging from the bottom of the medicine basket to his waist and firmly tied the medicine basket. Just as he climbed down the cliff, a large amount of dark clouds gathered in the eastern horizon.
Before the sea of mist dissipated, dark clouds returned. Chen Xun was accustomed to the strange weather in the Western Wilderness. He attached himself to the cliff stones and watched with vigilance as the clouds on the horizon changed.
The mountain breeze grew stronger and stronger as it howled furiously among the craggy cliffs.
The vegetation in the valley seemed to be in turmoil as countless withered branches and rotten leaves rolled up, flying all over the sky.
The rolling sea of mist was quickly swept away by the gale. Dark clouds obscured the heavens and the earth, and one could faintly hear the giant beast’s Qi Lie roar. The enormous arc-shaped lightning snake struck the distant ridge, and the rain came swiftly from far and near.
Chen Xun swiftly climbed back to the stone hut. Watching the rain curtain hanging out of the stone hut very quickly, he thought to himself that even if the heavy rain stopped now, the cliff rocks would still be wet and slippery. He didn’t want to climb up the ridge to pick the Wulingzi Grass today.
The stone cave was slightly inclined. The rain quickly gathered a puddle of water. Chen looked for a high place and sat against the wall. He placed a short wooden spear on his knee in case any wild beasts came into the cave to shelter from the rain.
The rain didn’t stop, and Chen Xun was trapped in the stone cave. When he was idle, he could only recall the strange changes that had happened to him in the past three years.
Three years ago on Earth, he was just a young student who had just graduated from medical school. After graduation, he left school and left to report to the hospital where the work agreement was officially signed. In two months’ leisure time, he carried his luggage and Yu Ku, who had just parted ways with his lover, on a solo journey to the summit of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
On the road from Lhasa to Jiangzi, passing through the legendary Great Snowy Peak of Xumi Mountain, the sun shone brightly at the foot of the mountain, and the sky was tens of thousands of kilometers clear. Suddenly, the clouds at the peak of the snow peak surged and rippled.
The clouds in the sky quickly formed a huge cyclone that could almost swallow the entire Xumi Mountain Snow Peak. Lightning tore through the sky, and silver snakes danced wildly. In the midst of lightning and thunder, a black pillar of wind was released from the center of the cyclone, blowing away the stone flying trees between heaven and earth.
He didn’t know why there was such a violent tornado on the snow-capped Xumi Mountain in the clear sky. Before he could escape, he was swept into the black wind column and pulled into the air by the huge suction force.
The top of the wind pillar was not the chaotic void of clouds, but a dark, dark hole. It was dark and could not see any light, and the light nearby was twisted and distorted violently.
The entrance to the dark cave was not big when it first appeared in the void. It was only the size of a stone grinding disk that was occasionally seen in the countryside, but it had an endless suction force that mercilessly devoured countless large trees and rocks that had been swept up by the wind pillars, as well as antelope, yak, and other living or dead creatures.
Chen Xun was sucked to the edge of the void hole in the blink of an eye. A ferocious giant face with a huge azure horn on its forehead suddenly popped out of the hole. It had green fangs, a large bloody mouth, and three large blood-colored eyes. The giant eye in the middle of its forehead emitted a faint black light, and the aura emanating from its nose was filled with the smell of volcanic light.
Seeing the six-armed troll, Chen Xun was almost scared out of his wits.
Only when half of the troll’s body struggled out of the narrow spatial cave did Chen Xun see clearly that four of its six arms were cut off. Its body was born with black scales, and it had no light. Large patches of scales peeled off, exposing countless deep or shallow wounds, and emitting smoke-filled cyan blood.
Strangely enough, as long as a drop of blood dripped from the troll’s body, the surrounding space would produce countless electric snakes and lightning strikes. The instantly dripping blood disappeared without a trace, seemingly refusing to allow anything from another world to contaminate the earth.
There was even more lightning energy brewing in the heavens and the earth. Blue arcs of lightning flashed everywhere, and the trolls did not seem to dare to crawl out of the void hole.
When the troll saw Chen Xun floating at the edge of the hole, it opened its mouth and asked, “Where is this Heavenly Domain?”
The Giant Demon’s voice was like thunder, and Chen Xun was immediately knocked unconscious. Perhaps it could be said that he had fainted from fear.
When he woke up again, Chen Xun lay naked in the deep valley of Python Fang Ridge.
Countless purple bolts of lightning descended from the void. They were a hundred times, a thousand times, and a thousand times more violent than the lightning that descended from the Wilderness at any moment. However, the Six-Armed Giant Demon sitting in front of him seemed to have an invisible curtain behind it, blocking out countless bolts of lightning that carried the might of heaven and earth.
The mountains in the distance were extremely tall and steep, but the slightest touch of purple lightning caused the mountains to collapse.
One after another, the incomparably stern ridges turned into dust before Chen Xun’s eyes.
Heaven and earth darkened. Amidst the thunder and lightning, Chen Xun could clearly see that the Six-Armed Giant Demon was even bigger than when it appeared on Earth. It was sitting thirty to forty meters tall, like a stone mountain sitting in front of him. The huge azure horn on his forehead was also broken in half, and some of the azure-black liquid seeped out.
Every single drop of cyan liquid that landed on the ground corroded into a bottomless hole, causing the earth and rocks to melt, causing Chen Xun to crawl away in fear.
Chen Xun was already so scared that his limbs went limp.
Outside the invisible giant screen, the purple lightning emitted from the void was unable to vent itself, causing mountains and earth to collapse everywhere.
Countless ferocious beasts and birds of prey were killed in the mountains by lightning.
There was even a dragon-shaped creature that flew out from the ground, but when it flew into the air, its flesh and blood were reduced to ashes by lightning, leaving behind a huge skeleton that fell into the valley.
Where could he escape to?
Dragon-shaped creatures?
Chen Xun’s limbs were paralyzed. What kind of world was this?
The Six-Armed Giant Demon was originally in the middle of his forehead. Beneath the green horn, there was also a giant eye that could only shoot out a dark light. At this moment, it no longer appeared. The other two giant eyes, which were like blood-colored pools, looked towards Chen Xun and said faintly,
“Old Dao Xu took away this emperor’s horn and crossed the endless void to kill it all. But at this time, I can only give you an ant. This emperor is unwilling …”
Dao Xu?
Devil Horn?
This emperor?
Endless Void?
Kill them all?
I’m an ant?
Chen Xun’s mind was in a mess, and his body was unable to move at all. He watched helplessly as the Six-Armed Giant Demon tore open its own chest, pulling out the bright red heart that was bigger than a horse and beating like thunder, and picked it up in his hand.
The gigantic heart floated in midair, rapidly shrinking. In the end, it condensed into a small drop of golden blood in the strange light, like a teardrop that landed on Chen Xun’s chest.
The golden blood was like the hottest flame that landed on Chen Xun’s chest, causing smoke to gush out. In the next moment, it seeped into Chen Xun’s body at the fastest speed through his pores. It was like a flow of molten metal that pierced into Chen Xun’s heart.
It was as if Chen Xun had been pierced by countless metal stabs, and it was as if he had been burned in the most blazing fire. Waves of intense pain caused Chen Xun’s muscles, bones, skin, and flesh to twitch uncontrollably.
As for the golden blood droplets, they seemed to contain endless unyielding roars, roars, and waves of attacks on Chen Xun’s fragile soul, causing Chen Xun to feel extremely painful.
Chen Xunhen could not die, but his consciousness was unconsciously clear. It was as if the Six-Armed Giant Demon wanted him to “enjoy” the extreme pain brought about by the deboning of tendons, bone erosion, and the howling of his soul.
He watched helplessly as the golden tear completely seeped into his heart, leaving only a palm-sized burn wound on his chest.
“Go …”
With a “duh” sound, Chen Xun was immediately ejected tens of thousands of meters away and landed on a cliff that could not be seen from top to bottom.
At the same time, the invisible giant screen that blocked countless purple lightning bolts instantly shattered like a crystal bottle. The gigantic lightning bolts that carried the might of heaven and earth instantly found the main body to vent their anger. They all gathered from the outer ridge and landed on the body of the six-armed troll.
After an unknown amount of time, the thunder and lightning clouds gradually dissipated. The clear sky was completely cloudless, leaving behind only countless mountain ridges that had been blasted into dust, telling of the ferocity of the Heavenly Might from the previous moment.
The Six-Armed Giant Demon seemed to be lying unscathed in the valley, but it only became unimaginably huge. Its body spread out and was four to five hundred meters long. It was lying like a lying mountain, motionless for a long time.
Only then did Chen Xun confirm that the Six-Armed Giant Demon had died completely under the impact of the lightning. The remaining scales were like rusty iron flowers that peeled off one after another.
The flesh and blood of the Giant Demon’s mountain-like body also quickly shrank. It peeled off and turned into wisps of smoke when it landed. In the end, it revealed a snow-white skeleton that looked like jade, as well as its black-gold lungs, stomach, liver, spleen, and other organs. The heart that had been plucked earlier had left a huge gap.
A gust of wind blew over. The Giant Demon’s snow-white bones were like jade stones, and its gloomy organs were like black gold. In the blink of an eye, it was like a stone mountain that had experienced ten thousand years. It had weathered to the point that it could not be any finer. It was blown away by the wind, leaving behind only a few glittering jewel beads scattered in the valley …
Just when Chen Xun thought that everything had stopped, the cloudless clear sky rippled endlessly like a lake. Just like what Chen Xun had encountered at the foot of the snow peak of the Great Xumi Mountain, boundless clouds emitted from the void, forming countless lotus petals-like cyclones that were indescribably solemn and dignified.
However, no tornadoes appeared this time.
In the void above the peak of the Absolute Ridge Mountain, at the center of the Lotus Cyclone, a mirror-like bright hole appeared, revealing a towering figure. It seemed as if the endless void had leaned out to see this world.
In an instant, boundless divine sense swept past the millions of desperate mountains, as well as Chen Xun’s seemingly insignificant body.
Chen Xun felt that his body was gently touched by the waves of water. He saw the towering figure that leaned out from the endless void and possessed unparalleled heavenly might. Finally, he locked his gaze on the valley that the Six-Armed Giant Demon had weathered.
This towering figure of a heavenly deity was Old Dao Xu, who had said in the mouth of the troll that he wanted to kill the troll even after crossing the endless void?
Chen Xun forcefully suppressed the urge to bow down to the towering figure. He could vaguely hear the towering figure muttering to himself in the air, “After 100,000 years of cultivation, it has only been refined into a single horn and a hundred bone pills. No wonder it was so useless.”
Afterwards, the mirror vanished. Apart from the sound of thunder rolling through the mountains without revealing its shape, it was as if nothing had happened.
Chen Xun scrambled through the barren mountains. He slept in the open for more than two months, but he was unable to leave the mountain. In the end, he encountered more than a dozen savages wearing animal hides and hunting in the mountains. Only then did he know that he was no longer on Earth.
Chen Xun and a dozen or so savages left the mountain and settled down on the northern slope of Python Fang Ridge, a tribe called Black Python. They lived together for three years.
