The eSports King’s Crush Novel - Chapter 98
Chapter 98: Your Kiss
Feng Nai had given up hoping that his brother wouldn’t screw him over.
Both of them were reluctant to go to the bedroom.
Thus, after confirming that they wouldn’t be able to leave, one of them went to the study, and the other started playing games with Little Lin.
Little Lin had noticed that Little Brother seemed to be continuously receiving messages while playing games that day.
However, Little Brother did not reply and his beautiful dark eyes were actually slightly cold.
Little Lin thought for a moment but did not push any further. He started another match by using his account on his brother’s cell phone.
After all, a chance to play games with Little Brother face-to-face was rare to come by.
However, a child was a child.
They played till it was almost 10 pm and Little Lin could not keep his eyes open. He reached out with a small hand to rub his big eyes while trying to enter another match.
However, Mo Bei put her cell phone away and stood up from his bed.
Little Lin instantly looked much more awake. “Little Brother, are we stopping? I want to play one more match.”
Mo Bei, who had a hand in her pocket, mumbled quietly and then reached out with a hand to rub Little Lin’s head. Her profile was still cold and elegant. “Let’s sleep early.”
Although she used very few words, Little Lin felt the concern in them.
The small human slid under his blanket and did not forget to warn his Little Brother, “My brother is very particular about cleanliness, so when you sleep together with him later, you must keep a distance.”
Mo Bei’s hand, which was tugging up the blanket, paused for a moment. She thought, “Even if you didn’t say that, I would still stay away from that certain person.”
However, Mo Bei would never say that in front of Little Lin. Thus, she only replied, “Okay.”
Then, she turned and bent slightly. Even though her expression was cold, her thin lips landed on Little Lin’s forehead, followed by two calm words. “Good night.”
When Feng Nai pushed the door open, this scene greeted him. His lean, tall figure leaned lazily against the door frame as he remained quiet.
He watched his brother’s face flush, his little paw touching the spot where he had been kissed. He looked like he was on cloud nine as he said in his childish voice, “Little Brother, good night to you too.”
Trouble Lin was really easily captivated.
Feng Nai straightened up while absent-mindedly spinning the lighter in his hands. He still had a piece of candy in his mouth. He was pressing the tip of his tongue against it as his eyes darkened.
When a metallic ringing sound was heard, Mo Bei looked over.
She realized that he’d probably watched the earlier scene.
However, Mo Bei did not find anything wrong with that.
Master used to kiss her forehead and say good night this way in the past too.
However, that period had been too short.
So short that whenever Mo Bei saw Little Lin, she was reminded of all the times Master had been with her…
Mo Bei was not a person who liked reminiscing. If it wasn’t for the messages that Lu Yifan had sent her that day, she probably wouldn’t be in such a state.
Mo Bei had not deleted the three most striking messages.
“Do you know who once used the playing style of a jungling support tank?”
“You even want to make use of Sovereign Union’s popularity?”
“Mo Nan, no matter how badly you want to become popular, you should know where to draw the line.”
Mo Bei was the only person under the sun who knew that her brother had been given many chances to prove himself. If he had revealed her name and identity during his hardest times, the media and eSports crowd would have come looking for him.
However, her brother had never thought that way.
In the past, she had said that she wanted to game, so he had accompanied their mom at home on her behalf.
When Sovereign Union had been disassembled, she had followed and gone into seclusion just because she had not wanted anyone to deplete its popularity.
He understood that, so he had never said anything to anyone. To protect her, he had even chased away many neighbors that had come asking questions back then.
After all, some of their neighbors knew that she had rarely even gone to school for the sake of playing eSports.
Subsequently, while the others had already been attending year one of high school, she had still been staying at home and had never touched games ever again.
However, the story that they’d heard the most was different.
“Hey, isn’t this Aunty Mo? Wasn’t it said that your girl was going to play eSports? It sounded so impressive. Why is it that she’s not going to anymore?”
“She probably came around and realized that she’s not made for that. I don’t want to say this, Aunty Mo, but your girl is really unlikable. Get her to read and study more when she has the time and cultivate her temperament. Learn from my Violet. She even went to learn piano some time ago.”
“I said it wouldn’t work out long ago. Aunty Mo, you shouldn’t have let her do what she liked. All is good now. What will a girl do in the future if she doesn’t go to school?”
Mo Bei had no way of retorting, as she’d long ago decided to never appear using the identity of Bey again, regardless of the occasion.
She still remembered her brother putting his schoolbag near the stairway back then, his entire person giving off a vile feeling. “Say, Aunty Zhang, Aunty Liu… You guys are so interesting. You are using a person’s decision to go to school or not to judge her usefulness. Doesn’t seem very accurate. But I guess you guys don’t get to experience that feeling either. After all, there aren’t really many girls like my sister, who can buy her parents a house at 15 years old. After all, Aunty Zhang, your Violet always uses the registration fee that you give her for specialty class to go clubbing.”
“What kind of nonsense are you spouting?”
“Nonsense? I merely overheard your fight last time. Anyway, my sister will always have me to provide for her in the future. It’s none of your damn business!”
Since then, there had been rumors that Mo Nan was a flippant rascal. His temper was very fiery once he flared up, and he had no manners whatsoever.
Up till now… when he had tried to use people for attention.
These words had even come from the mouth of his best friend.
Mo Bei did not want to let Feng Nai, who had walked in, catch her current emotions. She hugged the small thin blanket that Little Lin had prepared for her and stood up.
The two of them brushed past each other.
One of them was unchangingly languid, and the other looked aloof.
Feng Nai was there for his cell phone. After Mo Bei left, he walked to his brother’s bedside and got ready to take his phone back.
However, Little Lin pressed down on the blanket. He looked very serious as he said, “Brother, even if you don’t like sleeping in the same bed with another person, you cannot bully Little Brother.”
“Why would I?” Feng Nai’s voice sounded laid-back. “Your Little Brother and I are the best of friends.”
Little Lin, who did not notice that his brother was being sarcastic, touched very happily his own forehead again. “Little Brother kissed me just now. Brother, kiss me too. Right here.”
“Wash up and go to bed, Trouble Lin.” Feng Nai glanced to the side absent-mindedly, but the way he tucked in the blanket for Little Lin wasn’t just perfunctory. This was enough to show what they called his bro-con attribute.
Little Lin thought that his brother wasn’t adorable at all.
Even Little Brother had given him a kiss.
His brother only knew how to pinch his face.
But…
“Never mind, I know your kisses are all saved for my future sister-in-law.”
All would have been well if Little Lin had not mentioned kisses. Once he mentioned them…
Feng Nai’s fingertips, which had been pinching his face, faltered…
