The Death List Novel - Chapter 750
Chapter 750 Harry Wilson
“Who are you? Where’s Tony?” A surprised voice came from the big bed in the middle of the room.
Qin Lun calmed down and saw a handsome boy sitting upright on the bed in his pajamas, looking at him curiously. The boy was somewhat skinny, his eyes were big, and his lips were slightly fluffy. He was a full-fledged “yellow-haired kid”.
“Young Master, Tony can’t serve you today. I’ll take his place. You can call me Chris!” Qin Lun bowed with a smile that made people feel as if they were bathed in spring breeze. The etiquette and posture were flawless. Even if Butler Parker was here, he wouldn’t be able to pick a problem.
“Alright, if Tony doesn’t come, I can dress myself. I’m already eight years old!” The little boy lifted the blanket and jumped out of bed barefoot. As he went to get his clothes, he turned to look at Qin Lun and said, “Are you new?”
“Yes, Young Master Wilson, let me help you” Qin Lun took a few steps forward and helped the little boy set up the toiletries and put on his shirt and jacket.
Although the boy swore that he was dressed, in fact, he could not do anything neat with the complicated embroidered shirts and jackets. If Zou Baba wore it out, it would obviously be a dereliction of duty on the part of his personal servant.
“Yes, you did well!” The little boy finished washing, put on his clothes, and spun around in front of the mirror. The little man nodded in satisfaction. Then, he turned his pale blue eyes and asked, “What’s your name?”
“Chris, young master, you can call me Chris!” Qin Lun replied with a smile.
“Well, Chris, I’ll tell Tony that you’ve done me a favor!” The little boy seemed to be following the example of an adult. He put his hands on his waist and pretended to be dignified. He raised his head and whispered, “However, when we meet someone else, if anyone asks, can you say that I dressed myself today?”
“Of course, Young Master, you dressed yourself today. I can’t help you at all!” Qin Lun narrowed his eyes and followed the little boy’s conversation.
“Oh, no, you did me a favor. You can say that you took the clothes from the wardrobe!” The little boy happily added, “Also, you can call me Harry!”
“Alright, Young Master Harry, where are we going now?” Qin Lun’s eyes lit up as he cautiously probed.
Although Harry Wilson was only a little boy, he did not forget that this little boy was someone from hundreds of years ago …
“Of course we’re going to the dining hall. If it weren’t for the illness, Lord Father wouldn’t like us to eat in the bedroom.” Harry seemed a little depressed, but he quickly became happy. “Mother and sister are coming back today. Perhaps they are already waiting for me in the restaurant!”
“Mrs. Wilson, is there any other young miss who has just returned from outside?” Qin Lun’s eyelids twitched, and an indescribable emotion suddenly surged in his heart.
He suddenly understood the strangeness of this manor and where to start.
Hundreds of years ago, this was probably the moment Wilson Manor encountered an accident. The beginning of the disaster should be related to one large and one small female Wilson.
However, it was not clear whether they had brought disaster to the manor, or whether the manor had changed during their departure, only to erupt upon their return.
“Yes, mother and sister have just returned from grandfather’s house. They have lived in London for more than half a year!” The clue that Qin Lun had been unable to find in the manor was now easily found in the little boy’s mouth.
As the mistress and baroness of the manor, Lady Wilson had stayed at her mother’s house for more than half a year. There must have been a problem with Baron Wilson? As an eight-year-old boy, Harry might not know the meaning of his words, but Qin Lun could get a lot of information from it.
He had to go to the restaurant with Harry. If the Wilsons were there, with Kieran’s observation and psychoanalysis skills, he would definitely be able to discover the inappropriateness between the two of them.
“Young Master Harry, do you need me to call Tony and accompany you to the restaurant?” Thinking of this, Qin Lun no longer hesitated and said with a smile.
“Well … since Tony is very busy, then you can accompany me!” Harry gave Qin Lun the answer he wanted almost without hesitation, helping to solve the biggest problem.
This was equivalent to temporarily promoting a newly promoted coachman to become the personal male servant of the young master. So that he could stay in the dining-room reasonably while the host was eating.
Wilson Manor’s private dining room is on the fourth floor. This floor is very important. It is usually the bedroom of a visiting VIP. There are also important and private guest rooms, family dining rooms, and so on.
Other than a few personal maids and maids, other servants were not allowed to enter the manor. This was also the main reason why Qin Lun played tricks in front of the little boy and allowed him to bring him into the restaurant.
Of course, if Harry hadn’t been tricked, Qin Lun would have thought of a way to get up. However, it would easily cause unnecessary trouble and might be attacked by the ghosts, just like the commotion he made in the study room on the first floor.
After Harry took Qin Lun out, Susan anxiously gestured at him, meaning what should I do?
Qin Lun tilted his head and signaled for her to follow. Just as he was doing this, Qin Lun noticed that Harry seemed to have sensed something and his gaze swept across Susan’s position.
However, the little boy did not ask. Instead, he jumped up and down in front of him, seemingly unperturbed by the episode.
The two of them quickly went up to the fourth floor. In the corridor on this floor, Qin Lun and Susan saw a lot of portraits. It is said that the characters in these paintings are the ancestors of the Wilson family. Many of them are famous generals or ministers.
This discovery surprised both Qin Lun and Susan. Even Qin Lun had never expected the Wilson family to have such a glorious past. No wonder Baron Wilson risked his life to start at the base of the army when his family had fallen.
However, the conflict between Baron Wilson and Lady Wilson was foreseeable.
One was only the daughter of a businessman, always believing that her husband now depended on his mother’s support.
The other thought that it was already a great fortune for his wife to be able to marry into the Wilson family. As a hereditary noble who had joined the army and had a glorious ancestral history, the baron’s tough personality was completely imaginable.
Harry is eight years old, which means the couple has been married for at least nine years. Originally, it was wrong to be a mistress. In addition, the two of them were dissatisfied with each other. Now that men had lost the passion they had when they were young, and women had lost their youthful appearance, their marriage would naturally enter a difficult situation.
As the group circled the corridor, Harry quickened his pace and pushed open a thick wooden door.
Behind the door was a rectangular table filled with plates and candlesticks. Perhaps they had come too early, there was no one else at the table, only a man in a suit and shoes was setting the tableware.
“Housekeeper Parker, hasn’t everyone come down yet?” Harry was a little disappointed and asked Old butler, who was setting the tableware.
‘”Oh” Parker turned around and saw that Qin Lun by Harry’s side made him slightly stunned. However, he immediately regained his senses and said with a smile, “Yes, madam and miss have just returned, while master drank a little too much with the guests last night. They haven’t come down yet!”
“Is mother and sister really back?” Harry’s eyes lit up and he asked happily.
“Yes, young master, sit down first. You can eat later!” Parker pointed to the seat at the dining table.
“No, I want to see my mother and sister!” Harry couldn’t wait any longer, so he turned around and ran out of the restaurant.
“Chris, you’d better explain to me why you’re here and accompany Young Master Harry!” Just as Qin Lun was about to chase after him, Parker stopped him with a stern face and asked with a serious expression.
After Qin Lun finished explaining, he ran out of the door and saw that Harry had disappeared. On the other hand, Susan looked pale, as if she had seen something unbelievable.
“That brat is very important. Which direction did he go?” Qin Lun quietly pulled Susan and asked.
“I don’t know. As soon as he ran into the corridor, he disappeared. He directly disappeared!” Susan looked at Housekeeper Parker behind her and lowered her voice. “Is that little boy a ghost too?” She asked unnaturally.
“People from hundreds of years ago, what do you think?” Qin Lun asked angrily, “Looks like these ghosts have to be under certain conditions to repeat what happened hundreds of years ago. Once they don’t follow them, the plot will be interrupted immediately. Unfortunately!”
“Sorry, I should have followed him!” Susan apologized in frustration.
Qin Lun’s eyes lit up as he said, “I don’t blame you. The plot was triggered because of my relationship with Tony. You … right, your part …”
He suddenly remembered that Susan was the key person. Harry’s appearance was only because he knew Tony. It was just an accidental incident and should not have anything to do with the original plot. Then the change that Susan should have triggered in the original plot did not occur.
“Not good, perhaps I’ve already missed it!” Qin Lun’s expression gradually turned ugly. He suddenly remembered that if he didn’t know Tony, then in the original plot, Susan and Wilson would have entered the personal servant’s lounge instead of Harry’s room.
“If I miss this plot, what will happen?” Qin Lun’s mind raced. “Judging from what happened just now, if we want the manor to repeat what happened, we have to cut into the original plot. And if Susan and I miss that point, the things that happened at the manor might not be triggered again. If we say another word, we won’t have a chance to break the situation …”
“Perhaps there are others who trigger other plot repetitions, such as Hill and the others with Karin, Donald and Allen with Dana, but … this has nothing to do with me!”
Qin Lun’s eyes flashed with a cold light. “No, although I missed a plot point, I still have a chance! Old Parker is still here, and because he knows me, he hasn’t disappeared into a ghost … I have to gamble!”
Qin Lun’s gaze slowly shifted from Susan to Housekeeper Parker, who was still setting the tableware.
