The Death List Novel - Chapter 408
Chapter 408 Milleras’s Counterattack
“You want me to help you pick up something?” Elistine curled his lips and looked at Qin Lun with disdain, “Why don’t you go yourself?”
“Well, Milleras didn’t even go, so it’s not convenient for me … You don’t want others to look down on me, the Theopian Fairy Prince, do you?” Qin Lun avoided Elistine’s gaze embarrassedly.
In terms of identity, other than the two Elf Kings, Qin Lun’s storyline identity was the most respected amongst the elves that the apostles had come into contact with. Whether it was Kris of the Demon Cup Royal Court or Milleras of the Sun Fairy, his identity was not as orthodox as before.
Kris and Milleras were the de facto elven princes of the two great elven courts. However, after the Jondar Moon Elves moved into the Anke Forest, Kieran, who was recognized by King Tynequilas, traditionally inherited the status of the ancient Siopian elves’ prince.
This identity was even more respected than the Demon Cup Royal Court and the Elf Prince of Cormanso. After all, these two great Elf Courts lacked complete ancient heritage. Curris and Milleras did not possess the status of princes in the Elf Legacy.
However, Milleras and the Lost ones did not know who he was, assuming that he was a descendant of the Jondahl royal family who had traveled abroad. However, the elven druid knew very well that he was originally a mercenary with Stark and the others.
“Oh, I haven’t been a prince for a few days, but I’ve already begun to put on airs!” Elistine raised his chin high and threw Qin Lun a hygienic glance. “If you want me to help you, you can do it. What’s the use of me?”
“Ah?” Qin Lun was slightly stunned, and then his head was covered in black lines. In the past, a naive foolish girl had only been with a bunch of female apostles for a few days, but now, not only did she learn to bargain, she actually dared to mock herself.
“What’s wrong? Elder Edeline used the World Tree Branch to test your royal bloodline. The moment you woke up, you asked me for benefits. Don’t you remember?” Elistine looked narrowly at Qin Lun.
“Oh … then what benefits do you want!” Qin Lun looked at the elven druid speechlessly.
“In the future, you are not allowed to use any excuses to stop me from participating in the battle!” Elistine straightened his chest and said confidently.
Sure enough, good people can’t do it! Qin Lun expressionlessly nodded his head and asked faintly, “Did you learn this tone from Robin and Nicole?”
“Hehe, how did you know? Robin and the others have been mercenaries all year round and have a lot of experience. Great Elder Edeline told me to learn more from them this time!” After Elistine finished speaking, he ran to the location Qin Lun pointed out and went to get some treasures for him.
“Here, this should be what you want!” A moment later, Elistine handed a sheathed sword to Qin Lun.
Qin Lun’s eyes lit up and he took the sword. The hilt and sheath of the longsword were wrapped in an unknown layer of hide, covered in small, convex keratinous grains that resembled shark hide that had not yet been scraped.
Qin Lun slowly pulled out his sword, and a bright light flashed in front of his eyes. This longsword was a one-handed sword. The length of the sword was about 1.2 meters, and the width was about three fingers. Compared to ordinary one-handed swords, the slightly thicker edges were eight-sided prisms, each with two blood slots. There were some brown spots on the connection between the sword hilt and the sword hilt. This was the remnant blood that had seeped into the sword hilt.
After thousands of years, this one-handed sword didn’t seem to have been corroded by time at all. It was still sharp in Qin Lun’s hands. Qin Lun glanced at his feet and raised his sword with one hand and chopped towards a golden pot not far away.
“Ceng!” After a faint sound, the golden pot quietly split into two pieces, and Qin Lun almost didn’t feel any hindrance.
Qin Lun’s eyes lit up as his consciousness sank into the list of the dead and he quickly glanced at it. The death list showed that he had lost an entire 20 energy points. He hadn’t seen wrongly before. Under the perspective of Gannett’s left eye, this sword that still flickered with a faint light was indeed not an ordinary item!
“Eh, this is … the Eight-sided Prism Sword!” In the distance, Milleras walked towards Qin Lun in surprise.
“Milleras, do you recognize this sword?” Qin Lun’s eyes lit up as he smiled and handed the sword to Milleras.
“Yes, I’m not mistaken. It really is Seintar’s Eight-sided Prism Sword.” Milleras examined the sword carefully and handed it back to Qin Lun. “Filar, you found a good item. Every eight-sided sword of Seintar is a precious item. It belongs to the royal family and only the nobles have magical swords in their possession,” Milleras handed the sword back to Qin Lun.
“Why did the Saintal Elf’s magic sword appear in the dwarf’s fortress?” Qin Lun asked in surprise.
“I’m not sure, but in ancient times, the Seinthal elves lived in the same area as Tyser and Karinshan, so they probably had some sort of relationship with the Sanata Dwarves!” Milleras smiled and shook his head.
“Haha, looks like I’ve picked up a big bargain!” Qin Lun smiled and put away his sword. After he awakened the Hunter Inheritance, he happened to lack a melee weapon. The Evil Dagger was not suitable for him. It was Joey’s weapon.
“By the way, have you finished discussing with the dwarves? Are they willing to come with us to Karin Harbor first?” Qin Lun asked casually.
Although the Sun Fairy Envoy and the Snow Peak Dwarves were heading north, their missions were still different. The mission would need to make a few stops to visit the Mill Forest and the Kingdom of Kalinshan along the way.
“We’re not going to Carlin Harbor!” Milleras said softly.
“What?” Qin Lun couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows and look at Milleras in surprise.
“En!” Milleras smiled and nodded. “Loyle is the Chief Elder of Snowcastle. He is the Dwarf King of Snowcastle. He promised us that if we help them reach Deepwater City, the Snowcastle Dwarves will also be willing to help Commanso’s migration team in the future.”
Future Japanese elf migration teams could enter the southern tip of the Giant Plains through the Snowflakes Mountains in Cespiates, and then head west along the Esmil River through the Viper Forest, the Green Wilderness, and the Sharp Teeth Forest to reach the Bird’s Gate in Sword Bay.
In this way, we avoided the two great human powers of Karinshan and Tyser, and did not have to enter the chaotic Amur region. The entire migration journey was not only thousands of kilometers short, but also much safer.
Ferral, this is all thanks to you. If you hadn’t made Elder Loyle tell the truth, I would have refused to cooperate with the dwarves, “Milleras said happily.
Or my credit? Qin Lun opened his mouth, not knowing what to say.
The apostles performed this storyline quest to settle the quest rewards for each node of the envoy, and only after reaching each node would they return to the shattered starry sky.
Milleras’ change of heart meant that they would no longer need to visit the capitals of the three human kingdoms of Karinshan, Tyser, and Am while they were heading north. In other words, their mission nodes might have changed as well. Qin Lun was not the Guild Leader. At present, he did not know where the changed mission node would appear, but it should no longer be Karin Harbor.
If it wasn’t for Karin Harbor, it would mean that unless they abandoned the main plot, they would have to continue walking. They wouldn’t be able to return to the Shattered Star Sky until the next mission node. The difficulty and danger of the mission had increased several times.
Sure enough, he couldn’t be a good person. Just as he persuaded Stark to quit the mission, something like this actually happened! How could he overturn his previous conclusion and deceive that stupid big guy!
Qin Lun smiled bitterly and rubbed his face. Now he was glad that the group of people who were lost did not know his identity as an apostle. Otherwise, that violent woman Kelly would have eaten him alive.
“Milleras, are you sure you want to do this?” Qin Lun asked carefully.
“This is a good thing. What’s there to consider!” Milleras asked curiously.
‘But, but … Oh, yes, if we take a detour, can’t we go to the Mill Forest? And the Wildas Forest in Tyser? It’s an Elf Court built by the descendants of Ayerul. Don’t we need to visit it?’ Qin Lun suddenly thought of something and asked with a smile.
“The elven court established by the descendants of Ayerul is mandatory, but we don’t need to go to the Wildas Forest. The Silminster Forest at the western foot of the Snowflakes Mountain Range is adjacent to the Wildas Forest. The two belong to the same elven court with their royal family in charge. We just need to go there to greet them.”
Milleras’ eyes flickered as he replied, “As for the Mill Forest? Elder Loyle told me that they had encountered an Earth Tyrant beast before and had sent a dwarf down the mountain to ask for help from the Mill Forest. We should probably meet them when we get down the mountain to the edge of the Mill Forest.”
At this moment, Qin Lun could see Milleras’ true plan. There were two purposes for the Japanese Elves to return to the Ancient Era’s Road. One was to seek help from the various elven courts on the continent for future migration teams, and the other was to rebuild the Sun Palace on Eternal Assembly Island and once again establish the leading position of the Sun Elves among the elves.
The former goal is to make the future migration team pass through the snow mountain range, and the help of the Mill Forest and the Verdas Forest is no longer needed.
The latter goal was to share the glory of the Ancient Era’s Path with the Moon Fairies, as the Ank Fairy King Tyranquillas had forced a Kieran into the envoy’s hands, causing them to share the glory of returning to the Ancient Era’s Path to a certain extent. Even if the Sun Elves were to reestablish the Sun Palace on the future Evergathering Island, they would not be able to enjoy a leadership position.
Therefore, Milleras no longer sought to visit the various Fairy Courts one by one. Instead, he wanted to announce to the Fairy Courts the leading position of the Sun Fairy.
After passing through Jondale and Anke, the Prince understood that it was impossible for him to obtain the help of the various Fairy Courts. A formal visit would suffice. It was also possible to avoid having Qin Lun, the Theopian Elf Prince, join the various Moon Elf-dominated Elf Courtyards. It would weaken the influence of the Moon Fairies on the Ancient Road to the greatest extent possible.
This guy really isn’t a fuel-efficient lamp! No wonder the Elf King of Comanso sent him out to the various Elf Courts!
Qin Lun took a deep look at Milleras and asked, “Aren’t you going to enter the Mill Forest?”
“Yes, just have the Mill Elf who came to the rescue of the dwarves send a message to the Fairy Court!” Milleras blinked craftily and stabbed Qin Lun with his elbow. “Are you disappointed?”
“What am I disappointed about? I am just an apostle considering the mission. The Moon Fairies and the Sun Fairies are fine. Who cares if you die!” Qin Lun rolled his eyes, but he was still a little unhappy when Milleras gave him a look.
Most importantly, he suddenly thought of another question. If they hadn’t accidentally fallen into Iron Star Fort, what would have happened to the Snowpeak Dwarves? Whether or not they could wait for the help of the Miles Fairy, and whether or not this plot had been predicted before the shattered starry sky.
If the Broken Star System had predicted the development of this plot, would it mean that the Mill Fairy’s rescue team would have an apostle team involved?
One had to know that the plot of the dwarves was also a major task, and it was also a prelude to the epic plot. Since the Broken Star Sky had chosen this point in time, it shouldn’t have missed out on this plot.
Does this mean that … they have stolen another main mission from the apostle guild!
