The Death List Novel - Chapter 4
Chapter 4 The Group of Demons Came Out of the Cage
In the niche base of Area 91, time seemed to have been frozen. Everyone in the base maintained various postures and stood still.
As the base swept past the teleportation gate, an orange-yellow light instantly swept across the human body and the instruments in the base. A distorted human phantom suddenly flew out of the bodies of most people. It was as if their souls were being pulled out of their bodies by some sort of force and slowly dissipated into the air.
Apart from this orange-yellow light, there were also numerous orange-yellow fragments that had condensed into the space-time rift, as well as a small amount of orange-yellow polygon crystals. These fragments were large and small, scattered aimlessly in the air, smashed into powder by various items, and spread throughout the entire base. When the powder of the orange shard touched the dissipated human body, it slowly fused into the bodies of these people.
Apart from the vast majority of humans whose souls had dissipated, there were still a very small number of people in the entire 91 districts who did not have their souls separated from their bodies. They had undergone even more bizarre changes. These people’s body parts gradually faded away, and their skin, muscles, and bones became transparent like crystals. In the end, they turned into sketches of black lines.
The human body that had become a sketch did not stop changing. The black lines slowly converged and contracted, eventually turning into small black dots. Immediately afterwards, it returned from the black dots to human sketches, and began to grow various internal organs, bones, muscles, tendons, and blood and skin within the black line frame. Finally, it turned back into a complete human.
After the niche base in District 91 returned to normal, the humans whose souls had dissipated fell to the ground one after another. The modern electronic equipment that had been swept by the orange-yellow light exploded with small sparks, and explosions of all sizes resounded throughout the base in District 91.
…
At this time, in Qin Lun’s cell, the steam confinement device standing quietly at the corner of the wall also flashed with tiny sparks on each part.
“Pata!” The steel parts of the steam trap’s right arm fell to the ground, and a fair-skinned arm slowly lifted. His slender fingers clasped onto the steam traps on his body, stripping off the steel parts that had lost their magnetic connection.
Very quickly, a calm-faced youth broke free from the steam trap and appeared in the cell …
Qin Lun lowered his head and scanned the bodies lying on the ground. His gaze quickly focused on the “Death List” that Lin Feng had placed beside him, and his slender eyebrows slightly raised. The prisoner took two steps forward and picked up his “death list”.
The black-boxed “death list” was a thin, flat-panel optical brain that contained information about prisoners. When a prisoner is sentenced to death by a federal court, prison guards carry the cardboard-like simple bald brain to the cell to read out the death sentence, which is what prisoners jokingly call a “death list.” It meant that as long as this black-framed light brain appeared, the prisoner would be on the death list of the god of death.
The reason why Qin Lun had noticed the “death list” was because of the spectacular scenes he had “seen” just now.
During the teleportation just now, when the vast majority of the people in Area 91 were still standing there, even their minds stopped. However, there were still a very few people who had been awake for a while, and Qin Lun was one of them. After his body was shattered by the orange light, his soul consciousness was able to “see” the wonders of the cell more clearly.
The stillness of the human body, the decomposition and aggregation of his body …
Electrical sparks from steam traps and bulletproof fluorescent lamps in cells …
An orange-yellow doppelganger crystal crashed into the “death list” and merged into this simple light brain …
In fact, the numerous orange-yellow fragments in the teleportation process were the law fragments of this world, and the extremely small amount of orange-yellow polygon crystals were the law fragments with complete formulas and laws.
Area 91’s niche base is now in a world where human life forms on Earth are unacceptable. Apart from a few special souls, most of the souls of humans on Earth had dissipated, and the bodies they left behind had become “dead objects.”
The moment Qin Lun touched the Death List, it strangely turned into a black light and merged into his palm.
Qin Lun was slightly stunned. He spread out his palm and saw a small oval pattern appear on his right palm. The entire design was black, mixed with orange spots. It looked like a strange little egg.
Interesting! A strange light flashed in Qin Lun’s eyes. He stood up and stretched his body lazily, focusing his gaze on the few people on the ground. Apart from him, there were also Lin Feng, his two bodyguards, and two federal soldiers guarding the door.
Qin Lun squatted down and put two fingers on the neck of a bodyguard. He found that his body was cold and he had no pulse. However, when examining Lin Feng, he discovered that this young master from an aristocratic family was still breathing, and his pulse was also very steady. It was obvious that he was still alive.
Qin Lun tilted his head and flipped Lin Feng over. He reached into the inner pocket of his suit and took out the half-scissors-shaped dagger. He put his thumb into the steel ring at the end of the dagger and held it upside down in his hand.
After obtaining the blade, Qin Lun did not leave the cell immediately. A faint smile appeared on his face as he placed the blade of the black dagger on Lin Feng’s cheek and gently slid it.
The eyelids of the young master of the aristocratic family trembled slightly, and beads of sweat slowly oozed out from his forehead. He felt that Qin Lun seemed to be showing signs of increasing his hand strength. Finally, he could no longer pretend to be dead, so he could only open his eyes with a bitter face.
“You … are you Qin Lun now, or … are you Joey Foster?” Lin Feng stammered.
“You’re awake. Come with me and take a look. Something strange seems to have happened in the prison.” Qin Lun did not answer Lin Feng’s question. Instead, he gave him a gentle smile.
Lin Feng was dumbfounded by the warm feeling in his smile. His mind was in chaos. This was the famous murderer known as the “Decomposer”?
After Qin Lun woke Lin Feng up, he ignored him and stood up. He walked to the door and picked up the corpses of the two federal soldiers, picking up their Particle Light Gun.
“Pa-pa-pa!” The Particle Light Gun emitted a few void noises. Clearly, these modern weapons were not adapted to the laws of physics in this world. They had lost their function as weapons.
Qin Lun didn’t mind either. Although he didn’t know what had happened, he had “seen” abnormal sparks from these particle guns during the teleportation process. Now, it was just proof of his speculation.
After pushing the two corpses blocking the door open, Qin Lun inserted the blade of the black dagger into a slightly distorted crack in the cell door and pushed open the iron door with great difficulty.
Magnetic locks were used on the doors of the 91 district base. Under normal circumstances, the magnetic force of the locks was at least 100,000 Newtons, or more than 10,000 kilograms. It was simply not something that could be opened by human hands. But now that the magnetic force was no longer effective, the weight of the iron gate alone was not enough to trap an adult.
Qin Lun walked out of the cell and saw for the first time the specific situation of his surroundings.
The area of the cell area here is enormous and is an oval climbing layer. At the centre was a patio in the cell area, surrounded by three floors of cells, each of which had approximately 40 cells, and the cell area he was in was on the top floor. The front corridor of the cell was surrounded by bars and was about three meters wide.
“Ah!” A terrified scream suddenly came from Qin Lun’s side.
Qin Lun turned his head, his clear and pure eyes curiously staring at a human standing on the aisle to his right. This man was wearing a prison uniform, so he should also be a surviving prisoner. However, his figure was small and exquisite, half a head shorter than the average-sized Qin Lun.
The prisoner had a slender figure, delicate features, and a face as delicate as a woman’s. The prison uniform on his upper body was stacked on top of him, and he tied a knot in his chest, as if he was wearing an umbilical cord outfit. On his waist, he wore another prison uniform, and his lower body was tightly clenched into small prison pants. It was more like a short skirt with a pair of pantyhose.
Seeing Qin Lun turn around and look at him, the prisoner dressed in weird clothes let out a scream of horror. He turned around and ran. However, he didn’t take two steps before he fell to the aisle with a splash. However, he seemed to be frightened by Qin Lun. After he fell to the ground, he didn’t even bother to get up. Instead, he kicked his feet, rubbed his butt against the floor, and retreated repeatedly.
“There’s actually a human demon locked up here!” Lin Feng carefully poked his head out of the cell door and reminded Qin Lun flatteringly, “Looks like he recognized your identity!”
Human demons? Qin Lun’s eyes lit up. He had heard other prisoners say this word in Handan Prison. It seemed to be a very wonderful creature. Social psychology, cognitive psychology and many other psychological works, seems to have their analysis and introduction.
Qin Lun slowly walked towards the human demon that had fallen to the ground. His actions made the prisoner even more terrified and uneasy, and he almost fainted. However, Qin Lun only took a few steps before stopping. His gaze crossed the human demon on the ground and looked behind him.
In the corridor behind the human demon, a burly prisoner was walking out of the cell door. The prisoner’s upper body was bare, his face cold and stern, his chin had a short beard, and there was an obvious dent in his right eyebrow bone, causing his originally resolute face to be mixed with a trace of fierce aura. The muscles on his upper body were very well developed, showing the perfect physique of an inverted triangle. A black-winged angel kneeling on one knee was tattooed on his back.
“Disciple Hansen!” Lin Feng exclaimed in a low voice. He nervously moved his body closer to Qin Lun, as if this would give him a sense of security. Without waiting for Qin Lun to speak, he introduced himself in a soft voice.
Hansen was born in Africa, but he was Caucasian and his parents were medical volunteers for the African Red Cross. He was killed in an explosion. Hansen was taken away by an African mercenary and has been a mercenary scout since he was eight.
Hansen had been a boy mercenary for ten years, and he had been nurtured into a cold killing machine by the war since he was young. When the mercenary army was destroyed, Hansen returned to North America and quickly became a professional assassin with the military skills he had trained in the war. It is said that he called himself a disciple of Satan, and in the process of arresting him, the Federation sacrificed more than 20 special elites.
Another murderer? Qin Lun rolled his eyes and suddenly took a step forward. He grabbed the bars on the aisle and looked down at the two floors of the cell area and the central patio.
Seeing the shadows below, more than a dozen prisoners appeared. Qin Lun’s eyes lit up, revealing the shy smile that a young man would often have on unfamiliar social occasions.
