The Death List Novel - Chapter 313
Chapter 313 Gather
“Drink!” Looking at the gradually dimming sky, Qin Lun frowned and let out a long breath.
His detection halo stretched to a radius of 70 meters, which was even further when he used Gannett’s left eye to reduce the perceptual density. With just a few trips, he could “see” a large area of abandoned construction site.
However, after this day, Qin Lun didn’t get anything. He had searched through the abandoned parts of York City, construction sites and slums. He had found out quite a few “dirty tricks”, and there were also some unidentified people with psychic abilities, but none of them should be members of the Phantom Brigade.
“Forget it!” Qin Lun sighed. There was no disappointment on his face. He had never expected his luck.
Since they were unable to find the enemy in advance, they could only give up participating in the first stage of the main plot. Qin Lun rubbed his chin and turned around to leave the abandoned city.
Actually, the young man did not know that when he left this side of the ruined city, there were several mysterious figures wearing old cloaks walking into the ruined city on the other side. As soon as they entered the abandoned apartment complex, they scattered and searched the surroundings carefully before finally entering an abandoned church on the edge of the building.
As time passed, the night shrouded the earth. This abandoned city, which had long since lost its lights, looked even more ghostly and sinister. However, from time to time, there would still be black shadows rushing into the church, as if they were dark creatures that did not move until midnight.
The bright moonlight pierced through the glass windows of the church, sprinkling a hazy shadow on the room. The church seemed to have been abandoned for a long time, and the benches and furnishings used for worship had long since been removed. Even the pillars on both sides of the corridor had collapsed, turning into pieces of debris on the ground, like stone stools of strange shapes.
At this moment, on the stone platform at the back of the church, there was a young man dressed in a big coat sitting upright. The young man had a bright jade face and a large back with a small black cross tattoo between his eyebrows.
The young man’s expression was calm as he lowered his head to look at a thick book in his hand. The cover of the book was simple and unadorned. It depicted some mysterious patterns and patterns. It looked like a religious book.
Putting aside his appearance and disguise, the young man’s temperament was somewhat similar to Qin Lun’s, who had removed his disguise, as if he was indifferent to everything around him.
In front of the youth, in the middle of the church sat or stood a dozen men and women of all shapes and sizes. At the far left were two invisible figures, one tall and one short. The tall man was wrapped in white bandages and wore a pair of gloves on his hands.
The short man was very small, like a teenager. Her long hair covered her face, revealing only a large and bright eye, unable to distinguish between the sexes.
Beside them were three young women. One of them was wearing a short-sleeved training suit, and her purple hair was tied behind her head like a giant violet flower. The other wore a long-sleeved turtleneck sweater and a pair of large black-rimmed glasses. His face was young and tender, and he dressed very much like a middle school student who was still in school.
The tallest woman was much more mature than the two of them. She was extremely tall, wearing a small female suit and a tight mini skirt. Her plump chest revealed a white and tall figure at the collar of the suit. Her figure was extremely enchanting.
In their right hands were two tall and sturdy men. One of them had a large body, almost three times the width of an ordinary person. He wore a large kimono with a strange appearance, long earlobes and shoulders, and the corners of his mouth seemed to be sewn with needles and thread.
The other man was not as big as him, but he was also very muscular. He was a lion-like man with a wide mouth and nose and hair like a lion’s mane. The muscles on his body showed a graceful, undulating streamline as they moved, showing the astonishing power that was brewing within them at all times.
Not far behind them sat four men dressed differently. One was dressed in a kimono, with a samurai saber at his waist, a pretty beard, and clogs. He looked exactly like an ancient Japanese samurai. Beside him stood a man dressed in sportswear. His hair was blonde and his eyes were narrow. As he opened and closed his eyes, there was always a trace of a gloomy gaze.
Behind the two stood another person. He was wearing a sleeveless pullover, his arms resting behind his head, and his face was filled with a sunny smile, as if he was a young boy.
Next to him stood the last short man in a long turtleneck. Half of the little man’s face was covered by the collar of his long shirt, as if he was wearing a mask. He parted his hair in the middle and hung his eyes, his entire body carrying a gloomy aura.
The last of them was a handsome man sitting at the church window. The man had a head of beautiful red hair that shrugged like a flame. There was a tattoo of a star and a water drop on his left and right cheeks. He wore a set of clown costumes, and his slender fingers were flipping through a poker card old K in boredom.
“Guild Leader, everyone is here!” The youth with a sunny smile spread out his hands and said happily, “It’s been a long time since everyone has gathered together. What are you looking for us for this time?”
“Swordsman, of course the Guild Leader is here to rob us!” The lion-like man said excitedly, “Right, Guild Leader, what are we going to rob like this for?”
The man sitting on the stone platform of the church folded the thick books in his hands, stood up and walked to the shadows, and said to his companions, “This time, the target is the underground auction in York City.”
“There must be many treasures there!” The eyes of the man dressed as a Japanese warrior lit up as he spoke.
“Perhaps it’s an antique?” The little man with half of his face covered in a long gown retorted softly.
“Everything, everything in the auction!” The handsome man on the platform smiled. “We want everything.”
As the leader of the Phantom Brigade spoke, a strange emotion slowly arose in the hearts of everyone. A suppressed undercurrent surged in the church.
“Guild Leader, this is an enemy of the gangs all over the world!” The lion-like man grinned.
“What’s wrong, Watkin? Are you scared?” The Guild Leader smiled and looked at his burly companion.
“No, Guild Leader, I’m so excited!” Watkin opened his eyes wide and a ferocious smile appeared on his face. He raised his head and asked, “Guild Leader, can you kill someone?”
“Of course, Watkin!” The Guild Leader calmly spread out his hands and said, “Kill all those who obstruct us!”
“Oh!” There was a warm response from the church …
Yorkson City, September 1st night.
As the night drew nearer, Jannidore Avenue was filled with luxury cars rushing to the auction. The neighborhood near the main road had been taken over by gangs, and gangsters with walkie-talkies were everywhere at the crossroads.
The Yorkson Auction House was brightly lit, and the dozens of stories tall building was now like a giant light bulb, attracting many dark creatures.
At the entrance of the auction hall, luxury cars, millionaires, celebrities, government officials, and gang leaders of all sorts of brands would stop from time to time. These big shots, who were rarely seen, would bring their female companions into the building.
There were two rows of waiters dressed in black gowns at the entrance. However, these people were not auctioneers, but had already been replaced by the gangsters’ bodyguards. Occasionally, there would be vigilant gazes in the crowd, sweeping past the important figures, and then checking their identities against the guest list.
Perhaps because of Nion’s prophetic poem, this year’s auction was more rigorous. On the rooftops of several buildings near the auction building, there were also quite a few silhouettes. They should be hunters and psychics invited by the gang at a high price.
Chi! A cookdini limousine pulled up in front of the building, and ivalev, who was the driver, walked down the front door, opened the back door respectfully and grinned at the two people in the back seat.
Shakemono got out of the car wearing a suit and wearing a gorgeous outfit. Tonight, Fei Jie wore a long silk dress with a low chest and off the shoulder. Her long hair was tied into a tall cloud bun, and she wore a fox’s shoulder, making her look elegant and graceful.
Just as the two of them took two steps forward, Fei Jie suddenly felt a reflection in the distance that was extremely blinding. Not only did she frown and look in that direction.
“Eh … Shakimono, Ivalev, you guys go in first, I’ll be right there!” Fei Jie curled her lips as she looked over, turned around and instructed her two companions, then swayed her waist and walked towards the corner.
“Fei Jie, you’re here!” Qin Lun smiled and stood in a dark corner, leaning against the wall.
“Are you patrolling around here?” Fei Jie stood cross-legged under the light and casually asked, “Tell me if there’s anything, Ivalev and the others are still waiting for me!”
Qin Lun glanced at the high-rise rooftop right in front of the auction house, where Coolapika and the melody were monitoring the front door of the auction house. The young man’s eyes lit up. Not only did he not come out of the pavement, he shrank back. A mysterious smile appeared on his face and he waved at the beauty in front of him.
“Come in. I’ll show you something that has something to do with your boss. It’s also a human body collection.” Qin Lun was holding a large piece of meat in his hand, but under the dim light, he could not see it clearly.
“What exactly is it?” Fei Jie put down her hand and muttered to herself as she walked into the corner of the wall. She looked at the thing in Qin Lun’s hand and said, “Eh, this is … alive!”
It was like an irregular piece of meat that moved lightly on Qin Lun’s palm, but it didn’t look like the heart of any living creature.
“This thing is called a flesh and blood puppet. It can transform into anyone’s image with my consciousness!” A strange light flashed in Qin Lun’s eyes. His left fingers closed together and he slowly raised them behind Fei Jie, slashing down on the back of the beautiful woman’s neck.
“You” Fei Jie did not use her psychic ability to protect herself, and immediately collapsed into Qin Lun’s arms with a look of disbelief.
A moment later, Fei Jie walked out of the street corner again and walked towards the auction house without any change. However, the smile on her face was a little stiff.
