The Death List Novel - Chapter 202
Chapter 202 Convince
“Shelter camp! Mr. Hill, why did you choose it?” Cora looked at Hill in surprise. If Qin Lun had suggested protecting the woodland, she could understand. After all, Qin Lun was of Elven descent.
“Qin Lun, Hansen, are you sure you want to choose a shelter?” Sass turned to look at the other two. Frank would naturally be with Qin Lun and there was no need to ask.
“Yes, the three of us are used to being together. The shelter camp is very suitable for us!” Hansen raised his head to drink a toast and stood up. “I’m going to bed first. See you tomorrow, guys!” He said coolly.
“Michelle, the night scenery here is very beautiful. Will you accompany me for a walk outside?” Qin Lun also stood up and smiled as he waved to the centaur girl. He took Frank and walked out of the hall.
“En!” Michelle nodded her head and happily waved her ponytail to follow behind the two. She wanted to go to the shelter camp herself, so she had no objection to their choice.
Hill smiled knowingly. Qin Lun took Michelle away to create an opportunity for him to talk to the Sass couple alone.
The Sass couple were different from them. The three murderers were all very shrewd. Sometimes, their thoughts were exceptionally tacit. They basically didn’t need to discuss for a long time on the guild channel before they could make a decision in a few words. This was also the main reason why they often talked to each other, but the Sass couple did not notice anything strange.
As for the Sass couple, they were convinced that it would take some time, so they naturally couldn’t stay silent in front of Michelle for a very long time.
“Mrs. Cora, joining the Royal Knights of Victor is the best choice for ordinary visitors to the Watch World. A heavily guarded order can guarantee their initial safety and then slowly improve their magic and martial skills through cultivation.”
Hill explained with a smile, “But we don’t have that much time. We’re stuck here for two or three days, plus the journey time … If we don’t receive any more hidden plots, I’m afraid we’ll only be able to learn something for a week at most. What’s more, we have to do the main mission, ‘Source of Power’ ourselves?”
“You’re right! Then … why didn’t you join the tower?” After pondering for a moment, Colaleo agreed and nodded. Even Sass, who had a knight plot, lowered his head dejectedly. It was likely that he had dismissed his dream of becoming a knight.
“Towers are suited to us apostles to a certain extent! There are many choices, and we can do as we please!” Hill’s eyes lit up and he slowly said, “However, it’s impossible to obtain a large profit.”
‘”Mr. Hill, giving is equivalent to receiving. We both understand this principle. However, with our strength, as long as the team cooperates sincerely, we should be able to complete a task for everyone in a week. Isn’t this kind of benefit enough?” Cora asked with a frown.
Before, Holk had already explained that the inner world was sparsely populated, and most of the creatures within were powerful. They were different from life in the outside world. They were completely free from the restraints of food, clothing, shelter, and transportation. The things in circulation between them were no longer money, but knowledge, laws, mysteries, and precious treasures.
The missions issued by the tower, no matter how low-level or trivial, contained skills, knowledge, and rewards for treasuring items. Even one or two accomplishments would be a tremendous benefit to the apostles. With the strength of their guild, as long as they worked together sincerely, it wouldn’t be difficult for everyone to obtain a low-level skill or a good alchemy item.
“A low-level apostle skill or an ordinary dark gold item!” Hill’s eyes lit up as he smiled and said, “So what? Are you satisfied to enter such a world treasure vault and obtain a few tens of thousands of shattered crystals?”
To be honest, Hill had originally lied to the Susses because he wanted them to take the blame for him and Hansen. However, everyone had gone through a guidance mission together, and Hill and Hansen had also gone through a small heart demon test. The shepherd could not help but feel a little disappointed when he saw the Sass couple being so mediocre.
The Sass couple fell silent. They weren’t really stupid. Although he was a bit arrogant when he first entered the guild, he had experienced a guidance mission with the three of them and realized that the other three members of the guild weren’t simple. Not to mention each other’s true combat strength, at least in terms of adaptability and intelligence, they had to be pulled a few blocks away.
From the bottom of their hearts, they could be considered elites amongst ordinary people, but in front of these three people, they always felt that their reactions were a bit slow. The other three people could understand each other’s thoughts with just a single glance. They would often have to think for a long time, and even if Hill and Qin Lun didn’t explain, they wouldn’t be able to comprehend it.
It had nothing to do with maturity of mind. It was true talent, or IQ. It was like a complicated math problem. A genius could reach a final conclusion with a single glance, while an ordinary person would have to work on it for a long time, or even be unable to understand it at all.
“Mr. Hill, then … can we get more benefits from going to the shelter camp?” Cora asked hesitantly. She could vaguely guess what the three of them might do. This was a choice the couple would never make in the past.
‘”The camp may not be as safe as the Knights or the towers, but it has an advantage that neither of them has. It’s also the best choice for our apostles to seek great benefits!” Hill smiled craftily like a fox. “Those three commandments are too free. It seems that the god Anna Aldemis has completely followed the law of nature, the law of the jungle.”
Sure enough! The Sass couple looked at each other. Hill had already spoken to such an extent. They still didn’t understand that he was truly an idiot.
“Mr. Hill, are you talking about attacking the other members of the shelter camp?” Cora smiled bitterly and asked, “Although we won’t underestimate ourselves and have the ability to fight together, we are the lowest level of existence here! Besides, the duel in the sanctuary requires the same number of people. Are you sure we can succeed?”
“Mrs. Cora, what do you think is our apostle’s greatest weakness compared to the other visitors of the outside world? And what is our greatest advantage?” Hill did not answer Cora immediately. He narrowed his eyes and asked a question that had nothing to do with his previous conversation.
“The greatest advantage … is our Laws Body!” Cora replied hesitantly, “The biggest weakness should be that we don’t have enough time to stay, and we can’t proceed in the same way as everyone else.”
“Haha, no! I don’t think we have any shortcomings at all. Less than a week’s stay is our greatest advantage!” Hill said with a smile.
‘”Hill, I don’t understand what you mean” Sass frowned. His wife, Cora, was thoughtful.
“We still have 11 days left. After completing the main mission, we can return to the Shattered Star Sky at any time. In other words, no matter how much trouble we cause or how much mess we leave behind, it has nothing to do with us! The Deity of Silence is unable to break into the Horn of the Abyss and chase us down!” Hill said with a faint smile.
“Our apostles are themselves criminals who rob the world of its essence. Commandments are what we call commandments if we admit them. If we don’t admit them, then that’s nothing!” Hill sneered.
“Besides, we have guild channels to communicate with each other and cover for each other. What’s the difference between a one-on-one and a five-on-one? There’s a body of Laws and a large amount of recovery items. Even if there’s only one person in charge, in the forest, we can still grind to death opponents who are several times stronger than us.”
After Hill finished speaking, he poured himself a glass of ale and watched the Sass couple’s reaction while drinking, so that they could digest the information he had given them.
“I know that both of you used to be policemen in your own world, so you have some resistance to this kind of behavior.” ‘”But now that you’ve become an apostle, you have to put aside everything that happened before. If the apostles don’t advance, they will retreat. If you are bound by the ideas of the past, you will die in the mission world sooner or later. Mrs. Cora, you don’t want to be a widow in the future, do you?” Said Hill.
The Sass couple trembled as they looked at each other with complicated gazes.
“Mr. Hill, let Sass and I think for a moment. Can we give you an answer tomorrow?” Cora felt bitter and said in a hoarse voice.
“It makes sense!” Hill gave the two a meaningful look and stood up and walked out of the hall.
After getting along for a few days, he could already see that there seemed to be something hidden behind the arrogant faces of the two of them. It’s not as racist as the rumors say. However, regardless of their principles, he believed that even if it was for the sake of each other, they would do anything.
In terms of apostolic relationships, spouses are strong complementarities, but sometimes they are not burdens. Being in the hands of someone like Hill or Qin Lun wasn’t difficult to exploit. This was also one of the important reasons why Hill had chosen the Sass couple back then.
“Hill, how are the Sars?” Just as Hill blew the cold wind, the voice of disciple Hansen came from the guild channel.
“They will follow us!” Hill sighed.
“What’s wrong with you? Could it be that the shepherd has pity on the lamb waiting to be slaughtered?” Hansen laughed impolitely.
Hill shook his head and said, “No, I’m just a little disappointed in them. Those two originally had a good foundation, but unfortunately …”
“Hmph, your opinion is too extreme. To ordinary people, the Sass couple are already considered quite outstanding.” Hansen sneered, “There are more than 10 billion people on the three planets of life in the entire Earth Federation. There are millions of prisoners, but there are also a few people like us. Why do you think we can’t join an ordinary guild? Isn’t it because there are too many idiots? Not everyone can adapt to our rhythm!”
“Perhaps!” Hill looked helplessly at the night sky.
