The Death List Novel - Chapter 11
Chapter 11 Have One’s Own Thoughts
“If possible, I would rather act alone!” Hansen sighed helplessly. “However, these Goblins seem to value us very much. Perhaps they have more people and more say.”
Amongst the five murderers, Shepherd Hill was the oldest and most knowledgeable. He was originally a Catholic priest, but secretly, this fellow was an old pervert who ate human flesh and suffered from severe delusions.
The other Fireworks Rand was the least dangerous individual and the most socially harmful of all the murderers. In all seriousness, the people he killed were all collateral damage. Prior to his arrest, Rand was a firefighter and a terrorist responsible for bombings. He had an antisocial personality disorder and harbored hostility towards almost everyone.
The last “Clown” Grant was taller and sturdier than the Chameleon Chekov that Qin Lun had killed. He could almost be called a little giant. However, he is a deformed child, ugly, facial irregularities, suffering from serious skin diseases, from a young age has been discriminated against by family and neighbors.
Grant also fell into severe autism and inferiority complex, resulting in an extremely paranoid mental illness. When he grew up, Grant began hunting for beautiful women in the surrounding cities, peeling off their faces and sticking them to his own. This was also the source of his nickname “Clown”.
All in all, apart from Hansen himself, the other four murderers’ mental states were very problematic. However, compared to the other three, Qin Lun could barely be considered a normal person before he transformed into Joey Foster, so in fact, only he could discuss with his disciple Hansen.
“What do you plan to do?” Qin Lun was silent for a moment before asking.
“Let them out!” Hansen glanced at Lin Feng and Xiaolian, who were hiding in the corner of the tent, and said indifferently, “Lily is also outside!”
Qin Lun nodded at the two of them, and they immediately ran out of the tent like rabbits. To be honest, they had no interest in the conversation between the two murderers. Although they knew that the two of them would not harm them for the time being, the auras of the two murderers were too powerful. Just sitting there made them feel suffocated.
“Those Goblins seem to value us very much. Perhaps we can be tough and talk to their leaders directly!” After Hansen saw the two of them off, he turned around and said in a deep voice, “At least we can test their true intentions.”
Qin Lun looked at the expressionless disciple, his gaze flickering slightly before he finally nodded.
‘”Alright then. When I entered the camp just now, I had already observed the layout of the camp. The big tent in the center is heavily guarded. It should be the residence of the leaders of these little fellows. Now we’ll use the night to explore the road. It’s best if we can touch it. What do you think?” Hansen’s eyelids twitched, and a trace of joy appeared in his eyes.
“Sure!” Qin Lun smiled and stood up without hesitation. He lifted the tent and stretched out his hand, “You go first!”
The two of them walked out of the tent and found Lin Feng and Xiao Lian chatting and laughing in a low voice around Lily. The three of them were quite harmonious and had no grudges. Seeing the two murderers come out, the three of them immediately shut their mouths and dispersed.
“Follow us!” Hansen glanced at them indifferently and ordered impolitely.
A group of five people walked in the camp. At this time, the sky was already completely dark. Dozens of orange crystal lamps were lit around the camp. Apart from a few Goblin sentries patrolling the camp, most of them had already returned to their tents to rest.
The Goblin Sentinels on patrol ignored the five of them and only showed vigilance when they approached certain fortifications.
Hansen, who was walking at the front, revealed a cold light in his eyes, and a sinister smile slowly appeared at the corner of his mouth. Just as he was about to make a move, a figure flashed by his side, blocking his path.
“What do you want to do?” Seeing that the person blocking him was Qin Lun, Hansen roared angrily.
“I should be the one asking you what you want!” Qin Lun still had a faint smile on his face, but his gaze was icy cold as he quietly stared at the burly Hansen.
“Leader Goblin’s tent is well guarded. I’ll go get some of their weapons before I can make my move.” Hansen narrowed his eyes slightly and said in a deep voice, “These big bell-muzzled guns are very simple and crude. They shouldn’t be difficult to operate!”
“I only promised to talk to their leader with you, but I didn’t promise to go berserk with you!” Qin Lun said with a faint smile.
Hansen fell silent, but the fierce light in his eyes gradually became fierce. He stared at Qin Lun tightly and didn’t say a word.
Qin Lun also restrained his smile. He flipped his right hand and the black dagger fell into his palm from his sleeve. The red light in his pupils gradually grew brighter.
The three people behind the two great murderers were immediately covered in cold sweat. If the two of them were to join forces, everyone’s current comfortable life would be over. Goblin would probably not be so polite to them anymore.
“Since you’re unwilling, then I’ll let you do it!” Hansen suddenly revealed a strange expression of a superficial smile, and a sentence popped out from between his teeth.
“Haha!” Qin Lun flipped his right hand and put away the black dagger. He took a meaningful glance at his disciple and led him towards the large tent in the middle of the camp. However, when he turned around, the corner of his mouth revealed a cold smile.
Qin Lun had already realized in the small tent that Hansen’s visit to him was not as simple as he had said.
Hansen had been a mercenary since childhood, skilled in military skills and accustomed to using force to solve problems. To use house arrest to restrict his freedom was simply courting death.
The Lulu Clan was a mobile scrap picker tribe. This camp only had simple defensive arrangements. As long as there was a certain degree of chaos, it would be difficult to trap professional mercenaries like disciple Hansen.
Of course, Hansen wasn’t Rambo. He needed someone to help him share the pressure, so he went to Qin Lun and the others. He simply intended to use the other four people as bait to help him snatch weapons, ammunition, and motorcycles to escape from Camp Goblin. As a mercenary, he was very confident that even if there was only one person, he could still find a way to survive in this Gobi Desert.
However, this was not good news for the others, especially Qin Lun and the others who were forced to cooperate with Hansen and cause a commotion in the camp. Once the Goblins controlled the situation, no matter how much these little monsters valued them, they would probably not be polite anymore.
The reason why Qin Lun agreed to come out with Hansen was because he felt that the apparent reason Hansen used to conceal his true purpose was very reasonable and coincided with him.
Unlike Hansen, Hansen was a soldier with a tough personality. He did not like to be manipulated and liked to control his own destiny. However, Qin Lun felt that since these Goblins valued them, as long as the prisoners had a harder attitude, there was a high chance that the Goblin leader, who he had never met before, would give way and reveal more information to them.
However, what they didn’t expect was that after Qin Lun and the others approached the tent, the Goblin guards outside hesitated for a moment. Before they could express anything, they voluntarily gave way to the passageway and let them enter the tent that seemed to be the residence of the Goblin leader.
Qin Lun and Hansen looked at each other and saw a trace of astonishment in each other’s eyes. They really didn’t expect this to happen. However, when they entered the big tent, a hint of understanding could not help but appear on their faces.
It turned out that there were five other prisoners sitting in the big tent. They were Shepherd Hill and Clown Grant, as well as three of their prisoners’ younger brothers. However, Fireworks Rand and another person were missing.
However, it seems normal that Fireworks Rand suffers from antisocial personality disorder. Apart from the rebellious young prisoner who followed him, almost everyone was an enemy in his eyes. Naturally, no one went to discuss it with him.
No wonder the Goblin Guards let them in directly. They probably thought that they were coming with the other five. Before the five of them entered, they should have obtained permission from the Goblin leader. This also showed that these Goblin monsters really valued them and made certain concessions.
Seeing Qin Lun and the others, Hill and the others didn’t have any objections. The more prisoners they thought the same, the more they naturally had the right to speak. After Qin Lun and the others entered, they nodded at Hill and the others. Then, they silently found a corner to sit down and sized up the situation in the big tent.
In the middle of the tent sat a wrinkled, bloated, old-fashioned Goblin, who was sitting on the right hand of the motorcycle boss they had seen this morning. There was a small coffee table between the two of them. Apart from the tea, there was also the pocket watch-shaped instrument that everyone had seen.
“The guests from another time and space, I am the Grand Elder of the Lulu Clan. The one next to me is my eldest son, Ge De. He is also the current Patriarch of the Lulu Clan.” Old Goblin opened his muddy eyes and slowly spoke. A stiff mechanical sound rang out in everyone’s ears once again.
“I know what you want to ask. I will tell you everything. However, my spirit is not very good. Please be quiet and patient while I speak!”
When the Lulu Clan’s Clan Chief Ge De saw everyone this morning, he had already briefed the prisoners on the Broken Star System. Grand Elder Goblin’s introduction to the Broken Star System was much the same as his, but it was more detailed.
However, what Grand Elder Goblin said next, including why the Lulu Clan showed such a strange attitude towards the prisoners, caused Qin Lun and the others to feel a storm in their hearts.
Even these savage and cunning death row inmates felt such incredulity and wonder.
