Tang Yin’s Adventure in Another World - Chapter 5
Chapter 5
Tang Yin was someone who distinguished love and hatred clearly. Although his nature was cold and cruel, it was only due to his tragic childhood. Not many were truly nice to him in his life, and it was because of this that as long as one had done him just a little good, he would remember it forever. Not to mention that this middle-aged man had saved his life.
The middle-aged didn’t know that he almost got himself killed by Tang Yin’s spear. His expression was filled with anxiousness as he shouted constantly at Tang Yin while pulling him as he ran backward.
Why are we running? It’s not like I can’t beat them? Tang Yin frowned and stood still, resisting to move.
The middle-aged man saw his reluctance and pointed toward the front as he shouted again.
Tang Yin looked in the direction in which he pointed and frowned immediately. He saw that sand and dust were flying all over behind the white party, obstructing almost half of the sky.
A sandstorm? This was the first word that came to Tang Yin’s mind, but he soon knew that he was wrong. That was not a sandstorm, but the sand and dust that was stirred up due to the high-speed charge of a huge cavalry troop.
Gradually, the ground was shaken. A roaring sound that was like thunder came closer from afar. Before they could see the opponents’ clear appearance, the overwhelming momentum had already pressured over and was extremely suffocating.
Tang Yin was not a fool, of course he would no longer insist on staying here at this time. There was no need for the middle-aged man to pull him. Instead, he pulled the middle-aged man’s wrist and started running.
With the arrival of the white party’s huge cavalry troop, the situation of the battlefield was one-sided. The black soldiers gave up their defense and retreated batch by batch in defeat.
This run was like running away from theGrim Reaper. Many soldiers had thrown away the black armor and helmets on them as well as the weapons in their hands. The force of utter defeat was like a flood discharge of river water.
Tang Yin pulled the middle-aged man and ran along with the big forces of the black party. The more he ran the more annoyed he got. I didn’t provoke anyone, how did I end up with such troubles? First, I woke up in the forest inexplicably, and then I get entangled with this battle era of cold weapons inexplicably. What exactly is going on?
Until now, he still hadn’t figured out how he got into this situation.
It was easy for him to get entangled into this, yet it would be hard for him to get out of all this.
It could be said that from the moment he put on the black party’s soldier’s uniform, his fate had started to change, causing him to embark on a thrilling and interesting journey.
The escape was ongoing and the enemies behind them were still chasing after them. After running for a while, Tang Yin could no longer remember how far he had ran. He could only remember that the middle-aged man behind him wasn’t as strong and wasn’t able to keep up gradually. He then simply carried the middle-aged man on his shoulders.
Tang Yin was thin and was running while carrying a person, yet his speed was not any slower than the people around him. He also wasn’t panting like the others nor had sweat all over his face. His pace was like flying, overtaking the soldiers in front of him from time to time. It was only then he realised that this wasn’t a battle among a few hundreds, just the black party soldiers who were running had a headcount of a few thousands.
One who is in panic does not choose his path. This group of black party soldiers who were fleeing illustrated this saying accurately.
Not sure who was the one who led them to run in this direction, they could no longer run forward after they passed a valley entrance. It seemed that this mountain valley was a dead end and was round on the inside. Besides the entrance of the valley, there were no other exits. However, it was already too late for them to turn around. The valley entrance had been blocked tightly by countless of white party soldiers. Even mice wouldn’t be able to pass through them, let alone humans.
The deserters of the black party of more than three thousand people were trapped in this dead end valley. More and more white soldiers gathered on the other side of the valley. It was a field of white from afar, they probably had around fifty thousand people.
The person who led the way should really be cut into a thousand pieces! Tang Yin cursed in his heart as he looked around the valley.
The valley was very deep and was surrounded by layers of cliffs, it seemed as if it was being split into creation by an enormous axe. The black cliff walls were as smooth as mirrors with not an inch of grass on it. Even a top mountain climber athlete would find it extremely difficult to climb up, let alone for those who didn’t even have any mountain climbing tools in hands now.
Tang Yin was a person who would remain calm even if a huge mountain were to collapse on him, yet he couldn’t help but cold sweating at this moment.
As he looked at the black party soldiers around him, their faces were all full of despair. It was no doubt that they would be in despair as the headcount of both parties were completely out of proportion. Plus, many of the soldiers had no armor and weapons, there were also many who were injured. In addition, they had fallen into a desperate situation, almost no one still had the hope for survival.
“Gulu…Gulu gulu…”
The entrance of the valley had a sudden sound of shouting. The voice was powerful and could be heard clearly despite a far distance.
The shouting voice caused a sudden disturbance among the lifeless black party soldiers. Many of them had straightened their bodies slowly and walked toward the entrance of the valley. At this moment, a man dressed in a black robe that seemed like a general yelled in anger at the soldiers who were walking toward the entrance of the valley. The remaining soldiers who were sitting on the ground also showed an expression of despise.
The soldiers who headed toward the entrance of the valley bowed their heads collectively, sitting back onto the ground as their face reddened.
Tang Yin didn’t know what they were saying, but he could somewhat guess it. It was apparent that the white party shouted for them to surrender, and there were people from the black party who wavered. It was just that the general who led the troop had stopped them.
This general was extremely daring, and was definitely not someone who was afraid of death! As he thought, Tang Yin couldn’t help but take a few more glances at the general. The man who was dressed like a general seemed to be in his thirties. His appearance was rough and fierce. The blood that covered his face and body made him seem even more ferocious and horrifying.
Tang Yin retracted his gaze and turned to look at the middle-aged man next to him.
The middle-aged man noticed his gaze and shook his head as he smiled bitterly at Tang Yin. He whispered a few words that although Tang Yin couldn’t understand, he could tell from the tone of his voice that he was sad and in despair.
How would the other party deal with them next? Tang Yin thought silently as he frowned.
Seeing that the enemies in the valley did not move, another shout came from the entrance of the valley. It’s just that the tone this time had become strict and cold, indicating that this was the final warning.
“Roar-“
The general in the lead turned back and roared in a sudden. All the soldiers stood up after receiving his command, and took up their respective weapons at the same time.
Is there going to be a final battle? Tang Yin smiled bitterly as he stood up with the others. He didn’t know what sort of bad luck he was going through to fall into such a dangerous situation out of nowhere. Even up till now, he didn’t know where he was or who the soldiers around him were.
As he was pondering, a sudden whistle was heard from the entrance of the valley. The sound came closer from afar, and came from high to low. Tang Yin looked up subconsciously and his eyes widened in an instant. Countless black and carved arrows flew from the sky. The amount was overwhelming and obstructed the sky like a huge black cloth. Even the sun was soon to be blocked. These rain-like arrows were also flying rapidly toward the direction he was at.
“Ah?” Tang Yin had never seen such a scene in his life and couldn’t help but scream. At the same time, he squatted down instinctively.
“Pu, pu, pu-“
“Ah… Ya…”
The valley was bare. There was no place to escape nor was there a place for them to take cover. The arrow rain was pouring down almost unstoppably.
At that time, the sound of iron colliding, bodies being pierced through, and heartbreaking screams combined at the bottom of the valley. The dense, huge, and extremely fierce array of arrows was like the Grim Reaper had opened up his palm to ruin all lives that he could touch unscrupulously.
The first victims were the soldiers who had thrown away their shields when they were running. They didn’t have any armor to block the arrows that came rushing toward them. Their bodies were penetrated instantly into hedgehogs, they fell into the pool of blood like porcupines.
The soldiers who were holding their shields also didn’t persist for too long. Although the shields protected the vital points of their upper bodies successfully, they couldn’t protect their legs and feet. From time to time, soldiers’ legs and feet were pierced through by the arrows. They fell to the ground screaming. Yet before they could stand up, they were shot by the following arrow rain into a blur of blood and flesh.
This was not a war, but a unilateral massacre.
