Super Card System - Chapter 509
Chapter 509: Special Delivery
As Ian laid eyes on Luffy and his crew, they, too, spotted him. After all, Ian’s striking and flamboyant pair of black flame wings made him stand out.
“Oh, look ahead!” Usopp, with the keenest eyes, was the first to see Ian and immediately shouted, “It’s Big Brother Ian! It’s Ian, guys!”
With this revelation, Nami, Chopper, and the others became ecstatic, waving eagerly in Ian’s direction.
Originally, if Ian hadn’t appeared, the Straw Hat Pirates would have been Kizaru’s primary target since they were the culprits who had assaulted the Celestial Dragons. However, Ian’s fortuitous escape from Marineford to Sabaody Archipelago led to Kizaru’s interception.
Kizaru’s inability to target the Straw Hat Pirates had spared them from dire consequences, and with Trafalgar D. Water Law’s Heart Pirates accompanying them, they had managed to make a relatively smooth escape when Sentomaru and two Pacifistas cornered them.
But… what are you all doing here!?
Ian’s face was full of vexation. Did they think the situation here wasn’t complicated enough?
Seeing Nami and the others excitedly calling out Ian’s name, Trafalgar D. Water Law, running ahead with a quizzical expression, turned his gaze forward as well. Once he spotted Ian, a faint smile crept across his face, and he said, “As promised, it’s really Ian!”
Law hadn’t guessed wrong. By following Luffy and his crew, he had successfully located Ian.
However, when Law took a closer look at the two figures facing Ian, he slammed on the brakes without warning.
“Stop! Hold on!” Law couldn’t help but shout.
“What’s wrong, Tra-guy?” Luffy inquired with a puzzled expression.
“Don’t go any further! There are Marine Admirals over there!” Law warned, “And there are two of them! Kizaru and Aokiji!”
Upon hearing this, Nami and the others were immediately filled with dread, freezing in their tracks. Zoro clenched his teeth and drew his sword from his waist, turning to face Sentomaru, who was trailing behind, as well as the two Pacifistas. He declared, “He’s right. We can’t lure these three guys over; otherwise, Ian might have an even bigger problem. We can’t add to the chaos; we’ll have to deal with these guys ourselves.”
Sanji also came to a halt, turned around, and lit a cigarette, taking a drag. He commented, “We can’t handle the Marine Admirals, so we’ll have to figure out a way to deal with the folks behind us.”
Bon Clay, the Okama, hopped on one foot, twirling in a pirouette and asked curiously, “By the way, who is this Big Brother Ian?”
Indeed, he hadn’t seen Ian before.
However, when Nami answered that Ian was one of the Seven Warlords, just like Crocodile, Bon Clay immediately froze.
While Luffy and his crew prepared for battle, Sentomaru, who had just arrived, observed the situation ahead. When he saw that Kizaru and Aokiji were facing off against Ian, his pupils contracted involuntarily.
“No wonder I couldn’t get through on the Den Den Mushi earlier…” Sentomaru muttered to himself. “It seems Uncle Kizaru has run into trouble too. It’s the same guy from Salamis Island back then…”
Furthermore, Sentomaru noticed that there were large bloodstains on Kizaru’s clothes, indicating he had suffered during the confrontation.
After a brief moment of contemplation, Sentomaru immediately made a decision. He knew that Uncle Kizaru might be unable to extricate himself, so the task of capturing the Straw Hat Pirates fell to him. He swiftly ordered, “PX-1, PX-2, open fire at full force, arrest every member of the Straw Hat Pirates and Heart Pirates!”
Beep! Beep! Two soft beeps sounded, and the two Pacifistas immediately opened their mouths, releasing two laser beams toward the Straw Hat Pirates and Heart Pirates.
Luffy and his crew quickly dodged and engaged in combat with the Pacifistas.
The battle on that side naturally affected Ian and his group. Upon hearing Nami and the others calling for Ian, Kizaru couldn’t help but speak, “Well, well, I didn’t expect the Straw Hat Pirates to know you. Does that mean you ordered them to attack the Celestial Dragons?”
Ian let out a cold chuckle. “If I had indeed ordered it, it wouldn’t have been just a mere punch.”
Kizaru fell silent for a moment, realizing that Ian was the one who had directly killed the Celestial Dragons.
At this point, Aokiji furrowed his brow and said, “Ian, I don’t know what you’re up to, but opposing the Marines is unwise. If you come back with us now, the Fleet Admiral may still let you keep your title as one of the Seven Warlords. Moreover, if you truly know the Straw Hat Pirates, even if you can delay us, they will be captured. Surrender, and I can personally ensure the Straw Hat Pirates are given a chance to escape.”
“They aren’t as weak as you might think,” Ian shook his head. “Two Pacifistas might not be enough to deal with them!”
“Two might not be sufficient, but what about four?” Aokiji chuckled.
“What do you mean?” Ian was taken aback and turned his head to look in the direction of Zoro and the others.
He noticed that, at some point, two tall figures with identical appearances had appeared on the outskirts of Luffy’s group. They were unmistakably Pacifistas.
Aokiji spread his hands and explained, “When Fleet Admiral Sengoku ordered me to come, as a precaution to avoid any unexpected developments, two more Pacifistas were requisitioned from the Navy’s scientific division.”
This meant that there were not three but five Pacifistas on Sabaody Archipelago. Ian’s mind raced, realizing that with the sudden addition of two more, it had become a much more challenging situation.
Not only Ian, but Luffy and his crew also noticed the new arrivals, and their hearts sank.
As Ian contemplated how to assist Luffy’s group by sending Hawkins and Drake, he suddenly noticed something peculiar. Among the two newly arrived Pacifistas, one of them seemed different.
Pacifistas were usually identical in appearance, resembling Bartholomew Kuma features. Their hands were typically free, adorned with gloves. However, Ian noticed that the Pacifista on the right of the new arrivals had something unusual. His left hand was holding a book against his chest!
It’s… it’s Kuma!? The real Kuma!?
Ian realized this with great excitement. As expected, when the four identical giants surrounded Luffy, and Trafalgar Law, the Pacifista standing next to Kuma reached out to unleash a laser beam upon them. However, at that very moment, Kuma extended his hand and slapped the Pacifista on his right side.
With a soft pop, the Pacifista disappeared without a trace!
“What… What’s going on?” Luffy and the others were left stunned.
“Kuma-san!? What are you doing!?” Sentomaru exclaimed.
This unexpected turn of events also drew the attention of Kizaru and Aokiji. However, Kuma did not stop there. In an instant, he teleported to another Pacifista’s side and, with a downward swipe of his hand, made the Pacifista vanish as well.
“Stop PX-0 immediately!” Sentomaru ordered the last remaining Pacifista.
PX-0 was Kuma’s codename as he served as the prototype for the Human Weapon Program. Upon receiving the command, the last Pacifista turned his palm and fired a laser beam at Kuma’s location. However, Kuma had already vanished from that spot, reappearing behind the Pacifista. With a swift hand movement, he slapped the Pacifista.
Seeing this, Ian couldn’t help but want to burst into laughter. He didn’t expect Kuma to infiltrate the group of Pacifistas just like in the original story.
With the loss of the Pacifistas, the situation on the battlefield quickly turned in their favor.
“I knew it!” Kizaru couldn’t help but mutter under his breath, “Bartholomew Kuma is quite the mystery!”
Kuzan’s brows furrowed even deeper.
At this moment, Ian was quite pleased. Kuma’s intervention had effectively eliminated the Pacifistas. With the Pacifistas gone, Kizaru and Kuzan were now without support. Even though they had some Marine soldiers with them, these soldiers were currently occupied with capturing pirates throughout the Sabaody Archipelago. They couldn’t pose a significant threat to them here.
However, Ian couldn’t help but wonder what Kuma had done with the three Pacifistas he had slapped away.
Unbeknownst to Ian, roughly an hour later, on their Sky Island base, Ballon Terminal, Fujitora, Robin, and the rest of the Dragon Hunters Pirate Crew stared in bewilderment as three identical Pacifistas appeared one after another and landed on the island.
Seeing the three Pacifistas struggling to get up, Fujitora immediately activated her gravity field to immobilize them and said, “It looks like Ian’s delivery has arrived. Let’s verify it…”
