S-Class Dungeon’s Mistress - Chapter 149
Chapter 149
“Lisian, did you ever get to hear what conditions usually came out?”
“Yes……. Back in the day, it was popular to go to the human realm and kidnap a prince or princess. But now that we have a peace agreement, I don’t think that will come out.”
Since when the hell was that? Adelaide glanced at Lisianthus as if she was looking at an old man.
She knew that Lisianthus was old, but he was so pretty that she usually forgot about it. Then moments like this reminded her of his age again.
“Don’t worry, if that comes out. I’ll kidnap anyone for you.”
Lupinus whispered in a sweet voice. However, the content was not sweet at all.
“Umm, thank you, Lupin. But you don’t have to kidnap anyone…….”
Adelaide answered with an awkward smile. Even if such a condition arises, she did not want to make him, who was half-human, kidnap another human being.
She patted his blonde hair in gratitude. His soft hair had not changed since childhood.
At first, Lupinus looked dissatisfied at the thought of being treated like a child, however he eventually relaxed and enjoyed her touch. He looked like a cat by the way he was rubbing his head against her palm.
Adelaide finally calmed down after petting him, then slowly raised her hand. But her index finger trembled slightly, it seems that she was still nervous.
“Don’t worry too much. It won’t be that difficult.”
Lisianthus smiled brightly and placed his hand on her shoulder. However, rather than this being a contact to comfort her, he was asking her to look at him instead of the other guy.
“Okay. I’m pressing it!”
Adelaide, who had thick wrinkles between her brows, pressed the button at once. She earnestly wished that a good condition would come out.
Soon, black letters were engraved on the transparent screen.
[‘Restore the symbol of Kronatan that disappeared in the mist!’]
Adelaide’s eyes opened wide. “Oh my word, what do we do!” She muttered and looked at Lisianthus.
“You don’t understand, do you?”
Lupinus, who was resting his head on Adelaide’s shoulder, called her out and smirked. She was no different in the past, making a surprised expression when she had no clue what was going on.
“What are you talking about? Of course I understood. It’s telling us to take back the symbol of Kronatan!”
“So what is the symbol of Kronatan?”
“It’s……!”
A desert? Steamed meat, Esperanza’s specialty? Adelaide’s brows knitted and her lips opened and closed. Lisianthus, who was staring at her adoringly, offered a helping hand.
“It’s Helheim.”
“Yes! It’s Helheim for sure!”
Adelaide paused for a moment. She only realized the meaning after she had said it.
“Helheim?!”
She shouted as loudly as a dwarf. Lisianthus, who predicted this, already had his ears covered.
“The Helheim that Caladi is looking for? The one that only the ruler of Kronatan can have?”
“Yes. There is no other Helheim.”
Demons who dared imitate Helheim’s name will not be able to escape its wrath. Lisianthus answered calmly.
“How can I find something that even Caladi couldn’t……?”
Adelaide was dumbfounded and couldn’t breathe. She was so flustered that she suddenly had the urge to get drunk. You said the conditions won’t be difficult! And not to worry! She glared at Lisianthus with annoyance.
“Caladium hasn’t found it, but Master could.”
Lisianthus quietly smiled, saying something unexpected. Lupinus beamed and agreed with him.
“Yes. You may be able to do it.”
With their blind faith in her, Adelaide could only drink champagne one after another.
It wasn’t until she drank a few more glasses that she calmed down.
“Yeah! I can do it! Because I’m freaking awesome!”
To be exact, she was completely drunk and had lost her sense of reason.
* * *
Flutter.
Adelaide’s eyes opened. Her vision was met with a dark ceiling.
‘Why am I here?’
She was definitely talking while sitting on the sofa in the living room. Then when she opened her eyes, she was suddenly on the bed in her bedroom. As she turned her gaze, her pajamas caught her eye. When did I change into this again? She rubbed her eyes and wondered.
Then an intense hangover rushed over her the instant she tried to get up.
“Euk……!”
She began to understand the situation. It seems that she had drank too much last night and blacked out. She drank endlessly, reassured that she was going to be fine as she was a strong drinker.
‘Why did I do that!’
Adelaide buried her face in her pillow and regretted.
The pain of a hangover she had not felt in a long time was immense. She felt like she was going to die, but she didn’t die so it was only painful. She rolled over her bed, begging to a god she didn’t believe in to save her and vowed that she would never drink too much again.
What bothered her even more was that the memories she had forgotten came to her one by one. And most of those memories were so embarrassing.
“I’m a good drinker! I’m not drunk at all!”
She insisted, acting cutely when she was already dead drunk.
“I’ll show you something fun!”
She abruptly took out her whip and danced round and round…….
“Lisiaan, Lupiin…….”
She did a horrendous thing, drunkenly grabbing Lisianthus’ and Lupinus’ upper and lower bodies as they took her to her room.
“I want to do it.”
Seducing both at the same time, she had done something crazy.
“I’m crazy.”
Pulling on her hair, Adelaide muttered. I’ve literally gone crazy. If you were going to seduce, do it when there’s only one person, why the hell did I say that I wanted to do it then called two names? Lupinus even confessed to me!
Even Penelope, who was very generous with various kinds of skinship, would probably be speechless if she had heard her and would say “I didn’t know you were that kind of demon”.
‘But what happened after that?’
Adelaide’s face contorted and tried to remember what happened next. But nothing came up.
Who took her clothes off and changed her into her pajamas, or if anything else happened in between. She couldn’t remember anything.
‘Ignorance is bliss…….’
Yes, it was just more embarrassing to know. Adelaide took advantage of her simplicity and tried to erase the painful memories from her head. The hangover that was rising again helped her stop thinking about anything else.
After enduring for some time, Adelaide slowly walked towards the living room to escape the pain of being hungover. Lisianthus must have cleaned up on his own because the living room was clean with no dust to be found. A fragrant smell also wafted from somewhere.
“Are you up now?”
“Hic!”
Adelaide was startled by the sudden voice from the kitchen. As she slowly turned her head, she saw Lisianthus cooking onion soup.
“Y-Yes, did you sleep well Lisian?”
“Yes, I slept well.”
“You see, I don’t remember much, but I think I made a little bit of a fool of myself yesterday……? I’m sorry.”
“……You don’t remember?”
Lisianthus’ well-groomed eyebrows twitched for a moment. The moment she saw it, Adelaide’s heart sank.
What the hell happened! She screamed inside and pretended to be innocent on the outside.
“Yes, I remember I was talking on the couch with Lisian and Lupin. I can’t think of anything after that. I think I danced to something……. Did I do a lot of weird things?”
“……No. Nothing happened.”
Lisianthus then gave a sly smile as if he hadn’t just frowned. He was one hundred percent lying.
But she didn’t want to know the truth behind the lie, so she just let it go.
“Are the other guys okay? Ugh, I have a bad hangover.”
“I think most of them are sprawled out in their rooms. Well, I’ve closed the portal entrance anyway, so it’s okay to take the day off.”
“Yes. They must have been tired from yesterday, so let’s let them rest. But how come Lisian looks fine? Didn’t you also drink yesterday?”
“I did drink, but I was never really one to get drunk, so I’m okay.”
“Wow, Lisian, you drink well. That’s so like you.”
Lisianthus smiled gracefully and served her onion soup. Adelaide only took a few spoonfuls because she still felt sick.
“I have scheduled the appointment for tomorrow afternoon because I was concerned about Master’s condition.”
“Thank you. I don’t think I can go anywhere today because I’m tired.”
“Will you be able to interrogate Sol Dungeon’s manager? If it’s difficult, I’m fine going alone.”
“No, I’ll go.”
She still had a conscience. He already prepared the party food, cleaned up, and made hangover soup for her, how could she possibly leave even the interrogation to him.
She gulped the water down then stood up from her seat.
“I should strike while the iron is hot, I’ll go right now.”
“I will take you.”
“It’s okay.” Adelaide said, but did not stop him. It was because she felt like somehow, things worked out better whenever Lisianthus was with her.
The manager of Sol Dungeon, Nut, was trapped in an empty room in the second living space. The sight of him sleeping while tied to an uncomfortable chair was quite pitiful.
“Hey, wake up.”
Sorry or not, Adelaide shook the chair violently. Nut screamed and opened his eyes.
“Kkeuak! Help me!”
“If you answer well, I will help you, so don’t scream.”
“Yes yes! I’ll tell you anything!”
Nut muttered earnestly, telling her to ask whatever she wanted. He had been imprisoned for a day without eating or drinking so he seemed desperate.
“Why did Sol Dungeon suddenly invade Greenville? How did you know whether Caladium was here or not?”
“The Death Knights who got out of their contracts with Greenville gave us the information! They said it’s been quite some time since the devil returned to the dungeon!”
As expected, it was them. Adelaide clicked her tongue then said a little prayer for the eternal repose of the Death Knights. Because it was clear that Lisian would deal with them before she even had to say anything.
“Isn’t it too reckless to come here believing only what they said? There must have been another reason.”
Lisianthus, who was standing firmly behind Adelaide, pointed out coldly. Nut hurriedly opened his mouth, fearing that if the answer was delayed even a little, something grave would happen.
“Yes, that’s right! Uriel-nim, that Uriel from the Los Halde Dungeon secretly ordered Shavarma-nim. Quickly dispose of Greenville to reach B-Class!”
