S-Class Dungeon’s Mistress - Chapter 144
Chapter 144
“Bell, that way!”
“Woof!”
Bell, who was originally of higher level, ran around Greenville Dungeon with Adelaide riding on top of him, stirring up the Sol Dungeon demons. When he found a fairly strong demon among them, he immediately made way and attacked him. Seeing that there was a crunching sound in between, it almost seemed like he was having a delicious meal.
“Don’t! Don’t eat junk food!”
Adelaide scolded Bell to prevent him from eating the Sol Dungeon demons, but Bell sneakily put another demon’s head in his mouth.
Ugh. Adelaide sighed and gave up stopping Bell. Recalling the way he deliciously ate that disgusting worm, she didn’t think he would listen.
“Hoo, Ack……ugh!”
And it was then when Juilliard, who was working hard on defensive magic, fell forward hitting his knee as if his foot twisted.
“Kill the lich first!”
The demons of Sol Dungeon did not miss this opportunity and quickly rushed towards Juilliard.
“Aigoo, I aaam going to die……!”
Juilliard cried, squeezing his eyes shut. Seeing that he was still talking slowly even in the face of death, it seems that the way that he spoke wasn’t just his concept.
“Careful.”
But soon a large man stood in front of him. It was Lupinus, a warrior who was acting as the demons’ chess piece, possessed by mind control.
He swung his sword with an indifferent face and annihilated all the demons who were aiming for Juilliard. Still slumped on the ground, Juilliard looked up at him with moist eyes.
“Thaaank you, veeery much……!”
Slowly thanking him, he jumped back to his feet and joined the battle.
The biggest factor in Greenville’s current victory was the presence of Lisianthus and Lupinus. They split into two sides to support their demons instead of going to the front, just as Adelaide ordered, and only intervened when necessary.
Thanks to them blocking all potentially dangerous situations, the demons were able to show off their abilities to their heart’s content without worrying.
Ten minutes, twenty minutes. As time passed, the consequences of the war became visible.
The demons of Greenville looked a little tired from the long battle, but still maintained their group without a single serious injury. On the other hand, the corpses of the demons of Sol Dungeon piled up like a mountain.
Adelaide, who was walking around the dungeon on Bell’s back, realized that victory and defeat had been decided to some extent and stopped. She then cast a cold stare at Sol Dungeon’s demons that kept pouring in, or to be precise, the figure standing behind them.
The coward who stayed still despite being much stronger than his demons. Shavarma.
“Raham.”
When Adelaide called with a firm voice, Raham, who was guarding Pia, raised his head.
“I am going to hunt that b*stard Shavarma now.”
Shavarma. Raham clenched his teeth at the disgusting name. Adelaide smiled at him and suggested.
“Do you want to go with me?”
It didn’t take him long to give an answer. Raham nodded his head as if he had been waiting all along.
“I’m going too.”
“Wait, Raham……! It’s too dangerous!”
Pia hurriedly caught his wrist. The golden eyelashes that sank on her white cheeks trembled with concern for him.
“Pia, I’ll be right back. Don’t worry and wait for me in a safe place.”
“If it’s for revenge for my eyes, then don’t do it. I’m fine, so why would you……!”
“Because I’m not fine. That’s why I’m going.”
“If I don’t take revenge on that b*stard right now, I think I’ll regret it for the rest of my life.” Raham added in a serious tone.
With his heart set in stone, Pia’s lips trembled as she could no longer stop him. Raham gently wrapped his arms around her shoulders.
For a moment she remained silent in his embrace, then she opened her mouth having made up her mind.
“Then I will go with you.”
Her declaration was something no one expected. Raham, and of course, Adelaide, widened their eyes.
“It’s too dangerous. How can I take you into the middle of the enemy line…….”
“I can’t let you go unless I’m with you.”
Raham tried to dissuade Pia somehow, but she was very stubborn. They never thought that Pia, who had always been soft-hearted, could be this persistent. Adelaide briefly marveled.
Adelaide took one big look at the battle situation. Compared to before, the number of demons from Sol Dungeon had noticeably been reduced. On the other hand, all the demons of Greenville were unharmed, and most of them did not suffer any major injuries. It was thanks to Lisianthus’ and Lupinus’ hard work.
“Okay, let’s go Pia.”
As Adelaide made her decision, Pia’s face brightened in an instant. Raham looked anxious, thinking that Pia might get hurt, but he did not object. Adelaide continued to reassure him.
“If Lupin goes with us, you won’t have to worry about getting hurt. Lisian, in the meantime, please take care of the other demons.”
“……Alright.”
Lisianthus was very dissatisfied that she was taking Lupinus instead of him, but instead of expressing his displeasure, he quietly nodded his head. He knew well that they were not in a situation where he could be jealous like before.
“Then let’s go.”
“Woof!”
Bell barked loudly as Adelaide declared their departure. He then bit Raham and Pia, who were in an embrace, and threw them all on his back.
Kyaap! Pia stopped herself from letting out a shriek and bit her lip tightly. She couldn’t show them her weak side when she was the one who demanded to follow them. She clasped Raham’s neck tightly, determined not to scream from now on.
Bell, who gave strength to his hind legs, quickly leapt into the air.
* * *
Meanwhile, an ear-splitting roar erupted from Sol Dungeon troops’ rear.
“How did this happen!”
Shavarma, who stood with an imposing posture while watching the battle, made a series of verbal attacks to the manager appointed after Mierda.
“There’s no devil and yet we’re losing, this doesn’t make sense!”
It was absolutely ridiculous. Without the devil Caladium, Greenville was nothing more than a D-Class dungeon. It wasn’t that long after they reached C rank, the number of demons that belonged to it was less than 100, and even the head of the dungeon was a lowly succubus.
This time, he was determined to avenge his defeat from the last dungeon match, but what was this? Even though he had confirmed that there was no devil, Sol Dungeon was being pummeled helplessly by Greenville.
“I’m s-sorry. Greenville’s fighting power is much higher than I expected. Great Shavarma, I think it’s better to retreat…….”
The skinny manager bowed down then looked at Shavarma. He didn’t want to say this because he knew how nasty his master’s personality was, but he had no choice.
Even with his brilliant brain, he could not see a way to overcome the situation, and at this rate, Sol Dungeon would lose all of its valuable forces and become broke. If they were going to lose anyway, it was wiser to reduce their losses even just a little.
“How dare you lowly……!”
“Are you telling me to retreat against a succubus?” Shavarma couldn’t contain his anger and kicked the manager’s stomach hard. The manager was now lying on the floor vomiting blood for giving the right advice.
Shavarma reconfirmed the battle situation without giving a single glance whether or not his manager was bleeding.
‘This is why she acted so proudly.’
He looked around and found two picturesque men. One was the manager of Greenville he had seen before, and the other was a stranger. Seeing that he felt human aura and magic at the same time, he seemed to be a high-level warrior who was under mind-control. As soon as Sol tried to get the upper-hand, the two showed up and ruined things.
‘These b*stards are the problem…….’
But, where did the other one go? He tried to find the warrior, but for some reason he couldn’t locate him.
Hmp. Shavarrma snorted. Yes, since he was a human being, he will die soon after not being able to survive in a dungeon full of magic like this. He was nothing more than a doll that will be used and thrown away after one or two battles. With that thought, it was understandable why he didn’t actively interfere.
The only problem was the manager who he could see from far away. He thought he was just a pretty plaything but his abilities defied Shavarma’s expectations. He didn’t seem like he was fighting properly, but his sparsely visible skills were so sharp that even he was surprised.
‘Somehow the face is familiar…….’
Have I met you somewhere? Shavarma agonized. It would be difficult for him to forget a demon with such an outstanding appearance, but since he had lived for such a long time, it was impossible for him to remember all the people he met tens or hundreds of years ago.
Shavarrma narrowed his eyes and tried to retrace his memories, but there was no time.
“Hello, old man?”
It was because the owner of Greenville Dungeon appeared mid-air riding a large beast.
Kwaang!
Bell landed in the middle of Sol Dungeon’s camp with a loud noise. The legs of the demons he ate on the way were dangling between his large teeth.
“G-Greenville Dungeon’s owner!”
“Shavarma-nim! Escape this way!”
Shavarma’s escorts hurriedly stepped in front of him. Adelaide clicked her tongue at the pathetic act.
“Raham, while I’m fighting, make sure that no one else gets in the way. Lupin, take care of Raham and Pia.”
The warrior and the two monsters nodded their heads. Adelaide gave them a quick glance and then jumped off Bell’s back.
“Why are you trying to run away with your tail down again?”
Tak. Adelaide, who landed lightly, lifted one corner of her lips and sarcastically turned towards Shavarma.
“Yes. If you run away now, I’ll spare you. I have no desire to personally deal with such a weakling.”
It was sarcasm that accurately stabbed Shavarma’s precious pride. Unsurprisingly, Shavarma was caught up with boiling rage and pushed his escort away himself.
“How dare you, you lowly b*tch……! Move! I’ll kill that b*tch.”
“Shavarma-nim, that’s…….”
“I said move!”
In the end, Shavarma’s demon escorts quietly moved aside in response to the deafening command. After seeing what happened to the manager, they didn’t have the courage to stop him.
“Oh, you still have a nasty temper, don’t you? It must be very difficult for your demons. But this should come as a relief. After all, they will be free today.”
“After you lose to Greenville.” Adelaide added in a clear voice.
And Shavarma, who couldn’t bear to wait another second, flung himself at her.
