Chapter 13: Siblings

An Xiaoyan stopped moving. Seeing how obedient he was, Gu Jun ordered, “Lie on the sofa. Take your clothes off.”
Just like the first time, An Xiaoyan took off his clothes and lay down like a dead fish, waiting for Gu Jun to ravage him.
Seeing An Xiaoyan’s thin figure, Gu Jun’s blood surged through his veins. His lust had been repressed for so long lately that he could not suppress it any longer even when faced with someone like An Xiaoyan.
An Xiaoyan bit his lips hard. This was the most painful thing in his entire life. After each thrust, An Xiaoyan’s consciousness faded a bit. His hand, wrapped in tissues, hung from the sofa’s side. Blood dripped onto the ground.
After Gu Jun vented all his lust, he realized that An Xiaoyan had fainted.
An Xiaoyan’s pallor made Gu Jun realize once again what he had done. He cursed, put on his clothes, and left.
Chen Chen had been waiting outside the door. He came over after seeing Mr. Gu.
“Take care of things inside.”
Chen Chen didn’t know what happened inside. Soundproof boards had been installed on purpose to achieve complete insulation.
When Chen Chen saw the scene inside, he immediately called a private doctor. This kind of thing could only be dealt with in low profile.
An Xiaoyan lay on the sofa. A few shirts had been tossed onto him to cover his private parts. It was Chen Chen’s first time seeing him like this. An Xiaoyan had always given him a quiet yet resilient feeling. He couldn’t imagine what kind of pain An Xiaoyan had gone through. Even worse, a corner of the sofa was dyed red with blood.
Chen Chen couldn’t describe his current emotional state. He knew how much Mr. Gu hated An Xiaoyan, but faced with this, he felt more sympathy than anything else.
After Gu Jun saw the doctor, he left without notice. He was actually happy after seeing An Xiaoyan on the stretcher with no color in his face. He didn’t expect that An Xiaoyan was so weak mentally. The good stuff was yet to come.
The private doctor, Zhang Zilan, checked An Xiaoyan’s injuries. It actually wasn’t serious. He was just undernourished and had lost too much blood. His behind had torn open too. Zhang Zilan applied the ointment and put on bandages for him and left after giving necessary advice.
As a private doctor, he knew what he should and should not say.
“He’s awake,” Chen Chen said to Gu Jun, bowing his head.
Gu Jun put down his pen. Tidying up, he walked out. They were still in the top-floor office of the supermarket. It was rare for Gu Jun to wait here.
“Awake?”
An Xiaoyan stared up at the ceiling without replying. He didn’t know how to face Gu Jun anymore. What was their relationship? Creditor and debtor? enemies? Or some type of f*ck buddies?
“Mr. Gu, is this fun?”
“Heh, how can it not be fun? I’m so happy to see you like this.”
Really? He actually thinks it’s fun? He jokes about things like this? So this is something that both lovers and enemies do?
“Right, I have to show you something.”
An Xiaoyan turned. He had a bad feeling.
Gu Jun turned on the laptop nearby. It showed a girl watching a video in shock. Gu Jun put the laptop in front of An Xiaoyan. After he recognized what the girl was watching, the laptop clattered to the ground.
He pushed down the anger in him. He felt more helpless. Gu Jun, why are you doing this? I can be humiliated and lowly before you, but why do you have to humiliate me before others?
“Imagine how that girl will think of you now.”
“Mr. Gu, let me see her,” An Xiaoyan begged. “I can explain to her. Please don’t do this.”
“Okay, I’ll let her in.”
As soon as Gu Jun spoke, the two guards outside pushed a girl in who fell straight to the ground.
“Xiaoyan…”
When An Xiaoyan saw that the person was Ye Qing, he felt even worse. “I’m sorry that you had to see that.”
He couldn’t explain the video, because the video of him under a man was real. He didn’t know there was a camera. The angle had been set just right, perfectly avoiding Gu Jun’s face but capturing the scene of An Xiaoyan being at the bottom of a man.
“Xiaoyan, that’s not real, right? It’s not you, right?” Ye Qing had been taken to a room without explanation and shown this video. When she had seen that An Xiaoyan was the one on the sofa, she couldn’t believe her eyes. An Xiaoyan was known for being a loving person in the supermarket, willing to help people despite his lack of words.
An Xiaoyan didn’t know how to answer. His mind was blank. The explanation he’d prepared wouldn’t come out his mouth.
“It’s you, isn’t it?” Ye Qing yelled at Gu Jun, “You forced him to do that, right? I hate you so-called bosses! So what that you have money? So what?!”
No one ever dared to speak to Gu Jun like this. The young chick certainly got temper. Young people shouldn’t have such a hot temper. An Xiaoyan, don’t you like helping people? I’d like to see your reaction after someone gets punished because of you.
“Fire them both. You don’t think of your boss as much big of a deal, do you?”
No one dared to object. After speaking, he strode out, feeling good inside.
After the room quieted down, An Xiaoyan pushed himself up and got hold of Ye Qing, “I’m sorry to put you through this.” He knew that there was nothing he could do to help Ye Qing get her job back. He was powerless.
Ye Qing brushed off the dust on her and propped An Xiaoyan up. “Don’t be scared. I’m not scared. It’s just a job. We’ll find another one.”
An Xiaoyan felt uncomfortable relying on a girl and broke free from Ye Qing’s grasp. “Don’t do that. It’s bad for both of us.”
“It’s okay. Your health is most important now. Where do you live? I’ll take you there.”
An Xiaoyan retreated. “Don’t follow me around. There’ll be bad karma. I’m bad luck.”
Ye Qing’s stubbornness came into play. Karma? She didn’t believe in that.
“Hurry up. I’ll take you home.”
An Xiaoyan couldn’t change Ye Qing’s mind. He limped home, and once they were inside, Ye Qing started bustling around.
By the time she was done, it was already night. Ye Qing bought a bag of apples. She sat across from An Xiaoyan and started cutting them.
An Xiaoyan sat on the sofa, but his mind was somewhere else. He was spacing out.
“An Xiaoyan, you’re a good person. I don’t believe those things. Even if it happened, I know you were forced.”
An Xiaoyan snapped back to reality. “What if I say that I did it voluntarily?”
Ye Qing’s hands stopped. “Then you must have unspeakable troubles,” she said after a long pause.
“I think you’re the really kind-hearted type. I bet you wouldn’t voluntarily ask for that stuff. Plus, I can sense your moral integrity.” Ye Qing turned around, “How about you be my big brother?”
An Xiaoyan stared at Ye Qing in shock. How could she say these things so casually?
“Brother Xiaoyan, don’t get me wrong. I know you don’t like me that way. I could tell from when we ate together. I won’t be delusional about it. I just wish I can be your sister. I’m an orphan and grew up with my relatives. After I became an adult, I could finally come work and not depend on them anymore…”
An Xiaoyan didn’t know how to reply. He was an only child, so he didn’t know what it was like to have siblings. Did he deserve to have a sister now?
Seeing that An Xiaoyan wasn’t replying, Ye Qing took it as he agreed. She went up and hugged An Xiaoyan. “Great! I have a brother now. Brother Xiaoyan, Brother Xiaoyan, Brother!”
“Brother, eat this apple.”
Ye Qing’s smile seemed to be contagious. Her carefree smile made An Xiaoyan feel a bit better.
When An Xiaoyan accepted the apple, Ye Qing noticed a slight curve of a smile on his lips. So Brother Xiaoyan smiles too.
