Chapter 99: Volume 3 Final Chapter Last Night
Zach squinted, watching the sunlight shining through the shadow of trees. Benjamin was a bit slow today, and Zach had been waiting for almost half an hour. And now the vampire was very ailing because his blood bank was seriously insufficient. In the barn on the west side of the Grande Funeral Home, every sheep nearly died from being squeezed as much blood out of them as possible while healing Ian, which means that the vampire didn’t have anything that he could use to recover his exhaustion last night.
Zach’s eyes squinted threateningly. He saw a deer…
“You look terrible!” Benjamin’s voice rang behind Zach.
Zach hugged the deer’s neck, stretched out a finger, gesturing Benjamin to pause. Until the deer under him lost the strength to struggle and blinked weakly, the vampire wiped the blood from his mouth and turned his head. Just when he wanted to say, ‘Today you are also very stinky’, but then he found the stink smell of werewolves was because there were two werewolves.
Standing naked, Benjamin also carried another naked person on his shoulders, another werewolf, Zach could smell the fresh werewolf scent.
“Who is he?” Zach frowned. Why did a new werewolf appear in front of him as soon as his vampire left him? It’s not fair!
Benjamin held the person hanging on his shoulder like a sack with one hand, lifted the person’s face with the other, and faced Zach: “I think he is our postman, hmm, Matthew, it seems to be this name.”
Zach looked at this face, as if thinking of something, and sighed: “Was out postman. The new guy is called Nick.”
Benjamin raised his eyebrows with pity: “He resigned? That’s a good job, what a pity.” The werewolf put down Matthew, who was still drowsy. The first transformation was always exhausting.
With an inexplicable smile on Zach’s face, he threw the sack with clothes to Benjamin: “He didn’t resign, he was fired.”
“Huh? Why?” The werewolf who just lifted his feet had no idea that he was walking into Zach’s trap.
“It is said.” Zach patted the deer that barely stood up, indicating that it could go. Then raise his hands, stretch out two fingers, and bend them like quotation marks: “It is said that he was ‘attacked’ and damaged a lot of mail.”
The werewolf’s movement of putting on the short shirt slowed down, and he glanced at Zach. If you ask, who is the most likely to be attacked by the ‘bear-like beast’ that farmers call on the road in the morning? Except for the postman who would run around at that time, there is no one else.
Benjamin pulled down his shirt, pulled out his pants, and lifted his leg. “Then he is hired by Grande, starting today.”
Zach looked at Benjamin, trying to find his expression. The vampire really didn’t feel any special emotions in Benjamin, no guilt, no joy, just unexpected peace.
“What happened?” Zach asked.
“Ben. Ja Min.” Benjamin frowned, glanced at Zach, and pouted his lips when he saw the sincere expression of the vampire, “I remember everything last night.”
Zach opened his mouth slightly. He didn’t seem to understand what Benjamin meant, “What?”
“I, remember, everything, that happened, last night,” Benjamin repeated it, rummaged in the package, found some crumpled clothes, took them out, and put them on Matthew’s body.
“What happened!” Zach felt that his understanding of the werewolf, which had accumulated in the last three or four hundred years had collapsed.
Usually, a werewolf can only remember a few fragments of what happened after transforming. It is already not bad for a werewolf, like Benjamin whose personality is seriously incompatible with the wolf personality to remember two or three images.
“I, uh it, my wolf body, ran out of Barton along the woods, then went north, crossed the Passing River, and attacked Papa Midnight on the south side of the Charles River in Newton…”
“I didn’t ask you what happened last night, I was asking why can you remember…” Zach’s surprised face suddenly froze: “What did you say? ! Who did you attack? !”
Benjamin glanced at Zach impatiently, picked up Matthew, and walked to the truck: “What exactly do you want to know?”
“Tell me who you attacked first!” Zach followed Benjamin and asked quickly.
“Papa midnight!” Benjamin continued, “He tastes a bit strange.” The werewolf thought of the mop-like head and fancy accessories shook his head and said, “Anyway, my wolf body vented for a while, and then rescued, um, Matthew.” Benjamin opened the back door, put Matthew in, closed the door, and walked to the driver’s seat, “Then he followed me. that’s it.”
“Do you want to run back to Grande!” Benjamin got in the truck and started it, but Zach was still standing outside the truck, seemingly to be thinking about something. The werewolf patted the car door impatiently, reminding the vampire in a daze.
Zach touched his chin and got in the front passenger seat. As Benjamin started tapping the radio, he asked: “Then why can you remember this?”
The sound of music came from the old radio; it seemed to want to wake up every citizen who was still sleeping in the early morning, at this time, the music was always the type that Benjamin liked, noisy drums, roaring singing.
Benjamin’s body began to oscillate with the drum, and he unconsciously increased voice: “I think it should be the pot of spices given by Spell! That thing gives me an indescribable feeling!”
Zach also had to raise the voice, “Do you think that is a good thing? Have you heard of it before?”
“No! But Spell wouldn’t do anything to harm us, right!” Benjamin answered.
Zach thought for a while and nodded, and asked: “Do you want to know what happened to us last night?”
“What?” Benjamin moved his fingers on the steering wheel and asked casually.
The music on the radio seemed to have changed a bit. Although there were still fierce drumbeats and the roar of the singer, the tune has become melodious, with a deep ethereal spirit.
“Revenge came by last night!” Zach stared at the radio, “What is this?”
Benjamin looked at Zach and found that Zach was really interested in the song, “I don’t know the title of the song. But this kind of song is called Goth.” Benjamin thought for a while, “It’s suitable for you vampires.”
Zach listened quietly for a while, death, blood, violence, desire… Zach raised his eyebrows, “This is more like the style of The Sabbat.” The former Camarilla member sitting in the front passenger seat shook his head, and put this brief distraction aside,
“Anyway, Revenge came by last night, and of course, there were a bunch of walking corpses of Papa Midnight. Ian left with them, Revenge was made into an Alpha by Papa Midnight, but it was Alpha who would listen to his command. What a joke!”
The two Grande brothers laughed in the van.
“Spell broke his left arm. Moreover, you would never expect that Jim is actually very strong! Very Strong!”
“Shoo… Gone?” (Shougong)
“It is pronounced as ‘So Goon'” Zach corrected.
“Then, I didn’t expect that Papa Midnight would be obsessed with Ryan’s soul, and finally forced Spell to use suicide to threaten him to choose one.” Zach stopped here.
“And then?” Benjamin frowned and asked. Why is it just half of the story?
Zach gave Benjamin a helpless look, “Then, they left.”
“Left? Who did he choose?” Benjamin asked.
Zach shook his head and looked at Benjamin, “Well, he didn’t make a choice. I think, probably it was you. What did you do to him?”
Benjamin’s eyes twitched twice. “You don’t want to know.”
Zach raised his eyebrows and stopped asking.
