Chapter 74 Seemingly Back On The Right Track
Jing Chen was obviously stunned for a moment, but it was not unexpected. He replied calmly, “This is not the first time he’s said it. Why are you so concerned this time?”
Su Wan pursed her lips and seemed a little nervous. “Because you said that we’re not getting a divorce anymore. I’m just being more careful, anything wrong with that?”
“Well, we’ll talk about it later. I haven’t thought about it yet.”
Jing Chen quickly ended the topic.
The car wasn’t going to the villa. When it stopped, Su Wan frowned.
“Why are you here?”
Jing Chen glanced upstairs. “Did you rent it?” “Definitely not with your money,” Su Wan quickly reacted and said.
Jing Chen nodded and made his decision. “Then let’s return it. We can avoid unnecessary expenses.”
“I’ve already paid, let’s just leave it.” Su Wan didn’t move, she wasn’t even willing to get out of the car.
There were still important things of hers here. If Jing Chen really returned it, it would be troublesome.
Su Wan felt that her words weren’t enough and continued, “Besides, I wasn’t the one that rented it. I can’t return it.”
Jing Chen stopped in his tracks and got into the car.
His meaningful gaze landed on Su Wan and he frowned. “It’s because you don’t want to return it, right? Because of that man?”
“No, I won’t come here anymore. I won’t see him either,” Su Wan said firmly.
When Jing Chen thought it through, if he was indeed prepared to lead a good life together, she would tell him the news. It would also be a surprise for him. Everything was just right.
Jing Chen nodded and chuckled. “Sure. Don’t let me find out. Otherwise, it won’t be up to you to decide.”
Su Wan was very unhappy with what he said. Why did it seem like she was the one with the problem?
She replied unhappily, “The problem is with you. It’s impossible for anything to happen to
me.”
This matter was left unsettled.
Jing Chen seemed to have returned to the past. Su Wan felt the same as before, but for some reason, her mentality was different from before. She had expectations for many things.
Now, it was all gone.
Su Wan sometimes thought that what had happened recently had still affected her.
This was not good for her development and future with Jing Chen.
She should adjust herself as soon as possible.
Another day after visiting Grandpa Jing, Jing Chen’s car stopped outside as usual. In the past, he would go to the old residence and chat with Grandpa occasionally. It was a pity that Grandpa never gave Jing Chen any face.
Hence, Jing Chen reduced the number of times he visited.
Su Wan came out with a smile on her face. The first thing she did was to tell Jing Chen about Grandpa’s condition and matters.
Every time this happened, Jing Chen would be very patient.
For some reason, he seemed a little distracted this time. Su Wan took the initiative to stop after a while.
She looked at him worriedly and asked, “Is it something troubling you recently? About work? I might not understand, but you can tell me about it and I can counsel you.”
Jing Chen stopped at a red light and turned to look at Su Wan. “It’s not about work.”
“You can still tell me. As long as it’s about you, I can listen to it.” Su Wan smiled at him, the smile in her eyes was strong, she hoped that he would be affected and that it would help his mood.
Jing Chen stepped on the accelerator and muttered, “It’s indeed necessary to tell you.”
Su Wan blinked and became even more interested. “What is it? Is it related to me as well?”
“That’s not it. I just have to tell you. You can help me figure something out.”
“Okay.”
Su Wan replied quickly, but she did not see the frustration and dilemma that flashed past Jing Chen’s face. He paused for a moment before speaking again. “It’s about Bai Lian…”
It was like Su Wan did not hear what he said next. Her mind went blank. She had only been like this for half a month and had just gotten used to it. She was no longer as distant as before.
Instead, she became more dependent on Jing Chen and she could synchronize with Jing Chen in many things.
Just when she really thought that Bai Lian was already in the past.
Her name appeared again! “Wan wan, what do you think I should do?”
The pleading in Jing Chen’s eyes made Su Wan snap out of her trance. She said blankly, “Huh? What did you say?”

Jing Chen looked at her deeply, he was not in the mood to say it again. The hope in his eyes was gone. He shook his head. “Nothing.”
